Len and his crew are the most honest , experienced and helpful repair and installers in the 20 years I have had a driveway gate. I had a cheap difficult driveway gate model installed by a previous owner for 16 years and as a single woman, I have had a host of people rip me off going in outrageous ways trying to keep that gate going. Let me tell you about TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My garage door opener crapped out on me last night and motor would not work. Len installed the beautiful unit and door 2 years ago. I called him this morning as I was trying to figure out why it had stopped working. He first tried to troubleshoot over the phone and spent 15-20 min with me and then said the issue may need an on-site inspection since the basic over the phone remedies were not solving the problem. He asked for my address and ON THE SPOT, drove out from the west side to where I live, 25 min of LA traffic. Pulled up to my house and looked at the unit himself and deduced it needed a new logic board that had failed. Then he helped me navigate customer service and waited around until we got done with manufacturer and secured the new board under warranty. He even said once board arrives at my house he would be happy to send one of his technicians to install it for me at no charge! OMG I am completely baffled at the positive reviews this company has. It really makes me not trust yelp reviews at all anymore. Len and his crew are terrible. To make a long story short, I ordered 7 garage doors for an apartment building I own. Rather than measuring for each door, Len just measured one door and made all of them the same size. Problem is, one of the garage openings was a slightly different size. So the door arrives and they have to cut it to make it fit. This door has never worked properly. It opens 2/3 of the way and then stops. Then when you press the remote again, it slams down, comes back up and then won't close. My tenants were frustrated and moved out. I had to meet Len or his installer several times at the property (which I do not live at) and they could not fix the problem. They would show up not at the time we were supposed to meet and expect me to rush down there. This happened several times. We went through this for a few months and I begged Len to call a consultant because he does not know anything about garage doors. He would just stand there and look at it. Only his installer knows a little bit. He refused to get help and will not return my calls, so now I am left with a garage door that doesn't work. I am in the process of getting help from Liftmaster and another garage company and I don't know how much $ this is going to cost me to fix this problem. Short Version: Len is a great guy who did a quality install of a quality garage door opener for a great price in little time. I HIGHLY recommend him for any garage door operation. Long Version: It's SUPERBOWL SUNDAY and I discover this morning that my garage door opener won't open the garage door. I call "Business #1" I find on Yelp and was quoted $$$$$ because Sunday's invoked an "emergency charge". I was going to settle for the $$$$$ quote but figured I'd call one more place just to get a comparison. I find Sprint Garage Doors and Gates on Yelp and give them a call. Len picks up, and after a small exchange of information (including what he charged upfront for a service call, which was 50% less than the $$$$$ quote) , he's at my door in 30 minutes. Len inspects my garage door opener and in less than 60 seconds sympathetically deduces that I'm going to need a new motor. He lets me know he has all the equipment on with him for a full replacement (garage door opener, sensors, rails etc etc) and quotes me a $$$ price for the install. I wasn't expecting to need to do a full replacement and was taken aback by the $$$ price, so told Len I'd do some research on my own and give him a call if wanted him to do the job. He understood completely, wasn't pushy, respected my decision. I paid him the service fee and he left. I did my research online, confirmed that the brand of equipment he was offering to install was pretty bad ass, and confirmed that his $$$ quote was reasonable for parts + labor. I called Len back and he was back at my place ready to install in another 30 minutes. Install took about an hour, and voila I now have a high-quality garage door opener installed. Len walked me through how to program it, gave me manual, informed me of 3 year warranty ... he also clued me in on some at-risk parts of my garage door and gave me maintenance tips ... all-in-all, VERY pleased with his work and service. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but the quality is top notch and Len's work was exceptional. He had the old one out and the new one in and operating in less than an hour, he worked with the kind of speed and expertise that only someone who has a lot of experience could, and it showed in the expert quality finished product. The owner Len came out almost immediately on a Saturday afternoon to diagnose a problem that rendered our garage door inoperable. The hardware on our bungalow-style garage was extremely old and the original wooden door was very heavy. The wood beam that the hardware was attached to had shattered. Despite other workmen that had looked at the old assembly over the years and determined that an upgrade would be extremely expensive, Len showed us how he could install a modern steel backed aluminum door with electric operator with no problem. We went over features and styles with Len - his prices seemed very reasonable for his quality product and the install was scheduled within a week.
