Joyce Dugan from the Saturday Club was nice and easy to work with. Since they didn't have a Friday event, they gave us keys on Friday and allowed us to do set up Friday evening and Saturday morning. They did provide the tables and chairs and set them up on Friday for us which was awesome. The employee Chris was there in the office during the wedding if we needed anything. The place is really cute and was the perfect size for our wedding. We had just the perfect amount of room for the number of table and chairs we used and enough room on the dance floor. There is a little area/ private room near the bathrooms that serves as the bridal suite and also a great place to nurse my son and for other nursing moms. The price was great and I love what the money goes towards. I would absolutely recommend this for a wedding of 50-90 guests or for other events. This would also be a great spot for bridal and baby showers. And they worked so well with our caterer. We put the photo booth in the front vestibule area. Whatever problems people reported back then have been corrected by Richard and Dawn, who arrived after those bad reviews and turned things around. I hosted happy hours with buffet dinners two nights in a row this summer for over 100 members of a national organization. This is a first rate operation. The coordination with Richard and Dawn was timely, flawless, and very collegial. We visited twice for coordination and to vette the place - Dawn and/or Richard met us both times and stayed with us as long as we needed. They even opened the bar early just for two of us - bartender Steven was superb also for the banquets and our recons. Two of us stopped by unannounced a month or so before our event while on a trip to visit our bus company and dined at Fern and Fable - it was "Fabelous." Richard met with us without an appointment. That dinner helped me pick the amazing food for the banquets. Dawn and Richard were present for both banquets to ensure everything went smoothly to include the audio visual. Everything went off like like a well oiled machine. There is plenty of on-site parking. Their staff was first rate. and the value is exceptional. I received an overwhelming number of positive comments from our attendees such as: * WOW!!! Before dinner, someone gave me a snarky comment of "well, I'll bet we aren't having lobster" to which I replied, "actually, we are." Absolutely no regrets throwing away that 1st deposit because our experience at Anthony Wayne House was fantastic! They worked with us in every way possible to make the day special. The location is gorgeous. Our coordinator Heather was always responsive and patient with our million questions. The Penrose Suite was perfect for our makeup & hair stylists to prepare our girls for the wedding. The Airstream Trailer was a really fun spot for the guys to hang & do a little putting on the green before the wedding, and the venue pictures don't do it justice. The weather drizzled off & on all day, but at the last minute it cleared and the staff rushed to prep the pergola area so we could have the beautiful outdoor ceremony we had envisioned. Due to the unpredictable weather, cocktail hour was set up inside. Because the weather cleared, the staff was very flexible and set up tables outside - so cocktail hour was held both inside & out. And the food! It was awesome. Everyone raved about it and the beautiful location. Even the wedding cake was absolutely delicious! Changing our venue to Anthony Wayne was the best decision we made. There was enough room for an outdoor cocktail hour, with some high-top tables and a few normal tables as well. The reception space was an all-weather tent of sorts, with fans, stringed lights, and solid structure that has plastic walls that could be connected in the case of a storm. There was also a fire pit area, which was really nice. The couple chose to make this a smoking/cigar celebratory area, which worked really well. The cocktail hour was very good. Drinks were tasty and strong, and the hors d'oeuvres (many hot butlered plus a meat, cheese, bread, and vegetable table) were varied and delicious. The main course and desserts were very good as well- not standard bland wedding fare. Your place card corresponded to the dinner choice, so at the bottom of my place card was an outline of a carrot to denote that I had ordered the vegetarian entree option. This was an interesting idea (so that the waiters wouldn't have to double-check and take order), but the waiters did seem to have a hard time serving and looking to see what each person ordered and distributing appropriately.
