We love staying at Spring Lake ranch! We've come up a few times to stay in the treehouses. There are beautiful lake front views, the tack shop is fully stocked if you find yourself in need of anything, and the staff is so friendly & helpful.

On on of the hiking / horseback / bike trails overlooking some of the 700 acres of land and the private lake.

The most incredible vacation experience of my life. If we could give 10 stars, we would. We stayed in Tree House #1, High Hopes. A Tree House! With a Hot Tub! The views are incredible and there's always something new to see or do. We canoed on the private lake, swam, went on two incredible horseback rides, walked miles and miles of trails, met the goats and turkeys, watched the bison, hung by our campfire, soaked in our hot tub... I wish we could live here. The staff and owners are all incredibly kind and very proactive in dealing with any requests or issues. I think going anywhere else on future vacations will be a let down now.

A tree house! Gonna have to look into that next time...

What a cool spot for a weekend get away! As they say in the listing, it's a working ranch, so there are crowing roosters (but they didn't wake me up at 5am), horses, goats, even a cow on our front "yard!" Great to just walk the land a bit or watch sunset over the dock. The cottage was perfect size for a 2-gal getaway, but a family of 4 could make it work too. The appliances and finishes all look like they were just done in the last couple of years. I would have liked a more complete kitchen set, but I'm guessing not a lot of guests cool as much as we planned to. The tree house would be awesome for our next trip and they have plots in the land you can just camp on. Would totally recommend this spot to anyone looking to travel but be away from people or fuss. It was also closer to assume mid Missouri park walks. We loved Johnson shut ins and driving back through Caledonia for ice cream!

For $5 a person parking/admittance, we joined some others at their campsite for the day. The sites were well-maintained, the rocky beach was clean, and it was a joy to spend the day on the cool river. We didn't need floats, but TRL had them available for rent, had we wanted them. Afterward, we visited the shower houses (which were pretty clean), cooked dinner on our grill, and watched the kids play on the playground. Before returning our day passes, we looked around the general store at the t-shirt, river toys, rafts, and more, followed by two scoops of hard ice cream in waffle cones. I would definitely come back, and I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone looking to enjoy the river. Tech notes: I had Verizon 4G at the general store and at the campsite, but I was roaming at the river. There are two Pokestops near the general store.

Their equipment is always in excellent condition and their service is great. This trip was exceptional because they had just had a terrible storm over night and the owners had been up all night. The resort water was out, their internet was out. They were still awesome. Even though the river was up and a little fast, we had a great day!

Bip was not allowed outside that morning. She was not put on the ground outside of our home until we arrived at cabin. She was in her purse at all times for the entire trip. Got to cabin36B at 1532 (3:32pm) Put up pin in gravel 1st thing. Left her there for 15-20 min as we unpacked the car and put away groceries. A hour later she started vomiting what looked like clear/ white spit. We thought it may be her flee meds given the day before or constipation due to the weird circles she was turning. Other ideas we were thinking were vestibular attack, elevation change, or possible bug spray/poisioning. Went to dollar general at 8ish and got Benadryl to see if it would help. Got back noticed it didn't have a syringe to administer meds. I went to my car to see if I had a saline flush, at this time the lady from came pulled up and ask if we were warm enough. I told her we were, and told her what I was looking for that my dog was sick and ask if she had a dropper or anything we could use. She ask could she come in and take a look at my dog. She stated she looked like she was "acting like the people "down town" on meth..last thought on my mind. Ended up calling the emergency vet hospital Veterinary Specialty Services 45 min away! After exam the vet said it looked like meth toxicity, and recommended a cystobladder needle aspiration to get urine to which she had to be sedated for. While waiting on the procedure, I finally ask them for something to calm her bc we have had to hear her cry at this point for almost 7 hours. It was devastating. They came got her immediately to go ahead and give her something to relax her. After she was examined it was determined she in fact had meth amphetamine toxicity. She was then admitted. We got back to cabin at 4am. On the way there we called the police to file a report to see what we could do. I ask them if they could come search the property or bring a dog or anything and they said there was nothing they could do and suggested I contact an attorney. The following morning I contacted Alitta the campground manager and let her know what was going on and what the the police said, I told her I didn't want to contact an attorney or take this further that it needed to go and we could handle this out of court, and she agreed. She offered to give me the refund for Sunday because she didn't need authorization to do that but she would have to wait on the owner or HR to refund Saturday night. She told me Sunday that the owner authorized the Saturday night stay as well and she would be reaching out to me. She was hospitalized in ICU until Monday morning at 4/23/26 Got refund Spoke with Alitta at 1650 She was not willing to give me names of the owners. Said for legal reasons. All she would tell me was Jennifer. She got very agitated when I ask. She would not give me a number to contact her boss or her bosses boss. She said she gave them my number and they would contact me. But they haven't yet. 04/24/26 1250: Finally spoke with Jennifer. Said there was an open investigation and she was not paying vet bills. And she had a lawyer but wouldn't give me a name. I called the Police Department back. Spoke with a Detective. He said there is no investigation on this subject. So this is the type of people you're dealing with. Be careful staying here! It could have been a child getting into the left over meth!!!

(Walkins are welcome.) It turns out we didn't need them. We were the only campers we could see. Having them did give me piece of mind. There were lots of reservation plaques dated for the weekend. Campsite #9 is fairly ideally located. The vault toilets are located across the road. (Would have preferred flush.) We did not smell the toilets when we got there. Packing up the next morning, the smell was pronounced. If looking at the road, the Murdock is between the site, and the one to the right. The back of the campsite is yards from a flowing creek. The path is beaten in, so I'm not sure if other people will walk in the site to get to the path. Site #9 is larger than some of the other sites. It does get a lot of sun in the late afternoon. This made setting up extremely hot. The next morning was surprisingly cool and foggy. Each campsite has a fire pit with grill, lantern hook and picnic table. Aside from some cigarette butts, we did not see any trash around the grounds. No trash cans could be found. Make sure to bring bags to pack out trash. I did not have any cell service from the Red Bluff Campground sign. Other sites had mentions of that too. Make sure to download offline maps if using a phone's gps.
