We had an awesome time at the caverns! Every staff member we encountered was genuinely so nice. We had a lot of fun on the Zipline, the boat tour, and in the cave tour. The workers at the restaurant were also very nice and the food tasted good. Great time and can't wait to come back! Hopefully to do a float trip!

We just wrapped up the 5th Annual Boobs and Tubes Float Trip on July 5th, and once again Meramec Caverns delivered an incredible experience! Our group of 46 people felt like VIPs the entire day -- the whole team made it feel like we were the only ones on the river. Les was absolutely amazing -- attentive, organized, and so helpful throughout the day. Crystal, our bus driver, brought the energy with her fun and engaging personality, setting the tone for a perfect float. And of course, Carly welcomed us with her usual bright smile and warm attitude. Meramec Caverns continues to be one of the easiest and best float trips near Saint Louis. It's a quick, stress-free day trip, and the staff makes it feel like a summer tradition worth repeating. THANK YOU, Meramec Caverns, for another fantastic float! Already looking forward to year six!

My family enjoyed the tour more than we expected. The caverns were so beautiful and the path made it accessible for many people. Our tour guide was knowledgeable. It is well worth a visit!

We drove from Southern Illinois to check this place out. The various rock formations (stalactites, stalagmites, etc) were incredible. Our tour guide was awesome, sharing stories about Jesse James and movies filmed on site. The only real knock on Meramec is the cost. For two adults and two children, we paid over $100 after tip, for a one-hour tour. The boat tour of the river and the restaurant were also a bit pricey. It's worth doing once every few years.

We visited on a very hot day, and the cool air inside the cave was a welcome relief. This was by far the largest cave we've ever toured--massive rooms and expansive areas made for a visually impressive experience. Unfortunately, our tour guide wasn't very engaging. He spoke too softly for the size of our group, and it was difficult to hear much of what he said. The cave itself is fascinating, but the stories and delivery could definitely be improved. It didn't feel like the guide was enjoying the experience, which made it harder to stay engaged. There were quite a few children on our tour, and while that's understandable, it did make things loud and a bit chaotic at times. It would be nice if the cave offered a couple of adult-only tours each day for those who prefer a calmer, more focused experience. Overall, the cave is well worth seeing, but there's room to enhance the tour experience.

The tour was well conducted. Stories were engaging and made it more interesting. I do feel that sometimes there's too much done to keep the crowds entertained rather than just letting people enjoy what nature made as they are. There was a cartoon character at one point. There was an area where different colored lights were used to create effect. After the third color change, it got to be a bit much. The patriotic movie projected onto the wall of the cave felt a bit "propaganda-ish" Overall, I enjoyed it.

My family and I enjoyed our tour this morning. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and their spiel was peppered with cheesy but fun one last need that had the ring of having been well rehearsed. You can buy tickets online or at the caves. I'd purchased ahead of time but was very grateful that they allowed us on the earlier tour as our plans had changed. The cafe is paved and except for being a bit slippery in places was very easy to walk through, and the ceiling is high throughout. My 4 year old son was with us and he had no problems , although he did end up wanting to be carried towards the end. We camped overnight, which worked well. The sites are pretty primitive. You can buy firewood at the camp store (it was pretty bad yesterday and mostly smoked, had to work hard to get enough gland for my son to roast a marshmallow). It VERY buggy, so make sure you're prepared to deal with that. They have a playground and showers, which were pretty filthy (and also very buggy last night) but I had shower shoes so it was much better than no shower. But seriously, they could use a good scrubbing.

First time visiting the caverns even though I've lived in/around St Louis almost all of my life. I had so much fun and never wanted our tour to end! Our tour guide had a semi-bland and dry wit about her which made the experience that much more memorable. We stopped for ice cream at the end of our tour and it was delicious. I would have gone back again the very next day for another tour!

We really enjoyed our time here! The rock mining was very fun along with the cave tour!! Staff was friendly and we felt very informed by our tour guide. Highly recommend

Fun experience for my 5 year olds! We will have to come back when they are older so they can do the ropes course. We did the tour which lasted an hour and then spent some time in the gift shop. It appears this place gets busy so I suggest going early or on a weekday.

Really neat experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The video played at the end was a bit odd, but overall, I enjoyed getting to see the cave.

Cool tour! I found it very interesting. We went during the off season so had a nice small group. Tour was about an hour long.

Three of us took the Delmar Loop food tour with our guide Tracey. First I would like to say Tracey…read morewas a wonderful guide with so much knowledge of the area. She told us the history of the loop, what's currently going on and what's up and coming. We could not have asked for a better guide. The food is important but having a good guide I think is equally important. Tracey went above and beyond. We loved her. Five stars for Tracey. Now on to the food. I will list what where we stopped and rate each individual place. SALT AND SMOKE- OMG THE BEST PLACE ON THE TOUR. They gave us brisket and Mac -n- cheese( which they just won an award for) I live on the East Coast and we are not known for good BBQ but being a foodie I do know good food and this place was slammin! The brisket was the best I've ever had and so was the Mac-n-cheese made with some ritz crackers on top. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. They showed us the smokers up close which was very cool. They have 4 different sauces to try all made in house and all delicious. Liked it so much we are going back for dinner. PI PIZZA- Being from the East Coast, New Haven, home of world famous Sally's and Pepe's Pizza I have high standards for pizza. This pizza was not what I'm used to but enjoyed trying it anyway. They served a small pizza for the 3 of us which is extremely generous on a food tour! SHAWARMA KING- kind of a dive place for college kids, kind of while in the wall place. Chicken schwarma was tasty and falafel was average. Owner wasn't talkative or friendly but that's ok. I would eat here if a broke college kid or drunk at 2am but not a place for a first date SEOUL TACO- Korean taco joint. We had a beef taco which was delicious and kimchi rice that was also good. I would go back to this place for sure. PICCIONE PASTRY- they gave each of us a gooey butter cake canoli. St. Louis is famous for gooey butter cake if u didn't know. The cannoli was filled to order and was very good. Very sweet but very good. The tour was about $55 a person and was well worth it. I've been on other food tours across the country and this one gave us the most food for our money. I've been to others where we left hungry but not here! If you take this tour at 11 am like we did I suggest you do not eat breakfast! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting St Louis both for the food and to learn the history. Lastly, the picture attached to my review is for Tracey. We ran into this famous guy as we entered our hotel right after our tour. We wished Tracey was still with us when we met him. Tracey we hope you see this picture and if the company sees this review please show Tracey the pic! Thanks!

We learned a little more about the area, the restaurants and of course the food. The food was great and abundant. Make sure you come hungry because you will eat a lot. The snow was coming down before we began our trip. Cindy our driver, and Glenda our concierge, were not only a fantastic team but made even the nervous passengers feel at ease. Glenda came around with candy for everyone and had a little trivia to pass the time for the up'ing travelers. Traffic was so backed up, because of the weather, but Cindy maneuvered around the traffic and got us to the show on time. It was wonderful to be dropped RIGHT at the door. The snow continued while we were at the show. When we came out, she was again Right at the door. How convenient! Especially with all the little "Elsa's" not completely dressed for the weather. We had to wait to start the snowy trek home. There were 3 passengers missing for quite a while, and Glenda went on a hunt for them. She and Cindy were patient and polite to the absent passengers, and Cindy attended to us waiting patiently on the coach. Cindy was an EXCELLENT driver and made everyone feel very safe. The driving conditions with crazy semi's zooming by was nerve wracking, but Cindy handled it with ease. Glenda brought the Frozen DVD to watch on the way home. It was a great distraction for anxious passengers and the tired young uns. When we arrived back, Glenda helped people clean off the 3+ inches of snow mounded on their vehicles. Cindy waited in the coach with passengers while their cars warned up. WOW....these ladies were impressive!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!
