I went in for a manicure/pedicure. The pedicure was great. However, the manicure was not as good. The very next day all of the polish just popped off of my little fingernail. I went back the next day and expected them to remove all the polish and refund the manicure portion. They only removed the polish and no refund. I've been going here for the past 8-9 years but I've finally had enough and won't go here anymore. I went for a mani/pedi (w dip on my fingernails) the day before leaving on a 3 1/2 week vacation out of the country. Within a few days of the vacation (on a cruise), I had a nail chip & break. This was the first of 5 nails chipping/cracking and breaking. I spent way too much time on vacation messing w my nails - gluing & filing trying to save what was remaining. They looked awful! When I went in after vacation, Donna gave a quick sorry as she did my nails. I think the problem was the previous person was dipping several fingers in a row vs. one finger at a time. However, Donna didn't seem like it was that unusual or apologetic. when she finished my nails & had me wait 7 minutes before leaving. Later I discovered my thumb nails were smudged and clumpy -- again I'm filing & fixing my nails. This was the last straw -- I'm done with them. Previously during a pedicure, they have jabbed under my big toe nail so bad it bled and hurt for awhile, they've cut my fingers when filing, etc. It seems like they've just gotten too rough (from hurrying?). Plus, I think they try to hurry and dip several fingers in a row vs. doing one finger at time. It's a shame, they are nice people. read more

I had a new lady who has never touched my nails before and i just had a gut feeling that they weren't going to turn out the way i wanted them too. I've only visited once so far, will be going back either tonight or tomorrow. Got a full-set of acrylic nails (french) that have stayed on and beautiful for almost 4 weeks! (I haven't been able to get in for a fill which is why I'm going back.) I have problems with nails that come off during the first week of look really bad by the end of two weeks. I've been here many times. Sometimes I just get the acrylic dip and sometimes I get the dip and a pedicure. When getting both, they will work on your nails while you're getting a pedicure. I have noticed that getting my nails done at the same time as a pedicure in the pedi chair will result in my nails not looking as good as they do when I only get my nails done and am sitting at a nail desk. I had never had a pedicure and gel nails done before so I called around town to compare prices. I walked in and they basically had me just pick from a bottle of fingernail polish to paint. They were rude,two different people just pulling on me at once and never once talking to me. The price they told me was $25 more than what I was quoted on the phone. They even charged me $15 to paint my 4 yr old's nails (no frills). Then they rushed me out-picking up my purse and standing there with her hand out for a tip. The place was crowded and dirty. Took my teenage daughter here today for mom and daughter pedi's. The were fully staffed and got us right in. I was disappointed because once we sat down and put our feet in the bath, they started taking polish off etc. For me, part of the spa pedicure experience is being able to sit and relax but they were too focused on getting us out to allow us time to soak. I'm surprised this place has such high ratings. I've been there twice. The first time, I had just moved to Blue Springs and wanted to try a place closer to home. The salon was filthy, crowded and hot. At first, the staff was polite, but after a while, some of them starting staring, pointing and giggling (I'm 'different' looking). That made me uncomfortable and it was rude. At least wait until I leave before openly making fun of me. I may not speak the same words, but I know what pointing and laughing mean. A few months later, my mother-in-law, not knowing of other salons in this area, bought a gift certificate for me and unfortunately, it was Spring Nails. I decided they were worth another chance so I went back. Same situation, filthy floors, filthy tables, everything just crammed and crowded wherever it would fit. I was beyond grossed out. I got a manicure because I thought it would get me out the door the quickest. The tech was nice enough, no sneering, pointing and laughing in my face this time. It was still uncomfortably hot and humid. Her station hadn't been dusted or cleaned since her last client and the files and implements she used didn't look like they were clean either. I had a manicure and pedicure here for the first time. The service was very good and I was in quickly even though I had not made an appointment. The only downside was so many didn't speak English and having nerve damage in my feet, I had some problems communicating about being very gentle with the scrubbing. I have had wonderful pedicures here for years with very nice associates. My granddaughter recently started going for nail dip manicures. First experience was great. Second time nails were not correctly dipped. Went with her this morning to correct. Male associate very rude and said he could do nothing. female associate finally removed dipped nails, and she was pleasant. dip had been placed on cuticles, cuticles ripping and green under nails. Anyone can make mistakes, no big deal. It was however, very disappointing to be treated they way we were by the male associate. Neither of us will ever go back to this place. It is too bad because there are some nice people who work there. read more

I went in to spring nails because I had a manicure appointment set for 12:30. I didn't get started until almost 30 minutes later. Right as soon as I walked in it reaked of sweat and acetone, AND the floor was covered in other peoples nail clippings. Needless to say I was already on edge about this. I was with both of my sisters and the lady who was doing theirs cut them both multiple times and had one of them bleeding all over the rag. Once my manicure was done and we already paid, they said that the amount they charged the card was wrong and that we needed to add an additional $16 to our total. After we left I took a closer look at my manicure and was very disappointed. There was nail polish all over my hands, the lines were completely uneven (I got a French manicure) and last but not least the whole time all of the workers were talking and laughing at us. I'm in a chair with usually no wait time, my feet are always cleaned up nicely without having to ask for extras, such as calluse removal to be done, and they are very friendly. I am VERY surprised that this place has such high ratings. I was very disappointed. As a special affair, I brought my 15 year old daughter in for her 1st pedicure and for the 1st time in years I decided to treat myself to a full set and a pedi also. The salon was crowded and dirty. I will say that the lady who did my pedi did a decent job and was very nice. The only thing that upset me about my pedi was the use of a razor! I thought those were banned!? The lady who did my daughter's must not have spoken English because she didn't speak at all and she didn't seam to understand the difference between when my daughter said it tickled or it hurt. I could have just cut and painted my daughters toes at home and had them look the same! The lady RUSHED thru it (no doubt to get to the next client), didn't use the scrub or massage her at all. She just slapped on the lotion practically wiped it right back off and painted her toes in a hurry! My daughter and I were both very disappointed. I wasn't very happy with the lady who did my full set either! She just went so fast! And was not delicate at all! I came in with teal blue polish on my natural nail which stained them. She used the dremel (grinder) tool to grind the stained part of my nail beds off, which would have been ok except for she was going so fast that around the edges there were places that made me yelp because she went so deep you could see the purple of the meat underneath. Then she acted like I was being a baby and said she was just going to have to leave in in some places because I said it hurts! If she had taken her time and done it evenly instead of letting the edge of the tool grind into my nail beds, it wouldn't have hurt! To top it all off, My nails didn't even last a week! They looked horrible!! They were even different shapes! Some looked square a few oval and a few round!! I told her oval or slightly round... at least they could have been uniform! I honestly wasn't even going to write a review, but then I went to a different nail salon in Blue Springs and they were so awesome that I had to report just how bad Spring Nails was. :( read more

I cannot believe this place is even in business!! My best friend lives in the city. I don't live close to this place but we decided to go get a pamper day. BIG MISTAKE!! The place is so disgusting and dirty! The ladys kept staring at us and pointing and laughing!! They were talking in their own language so we couldnt understand them. The prices are outrageous. They are rough and rush thru everything. When I got there the girl brought over a bowl of clear cloudy liquid to soak my old shellac in. When I was done it was gross and had all my polish in it. The girl proceded to suck all my liquid back into the bottle that it came from!!!! I was Appalled!! That means I soaked my hands in the last persons germs!!! Than my bestfriend got her eyebrows waxed and the lady burned her and didn't say sorry...than ripped the wax strips off her eyebrows...she is in pain. When my best friend tipped three dollars at the end the girl yelled to the other lady..three for both of us!! We will never go back. Please be aware!! read more
