They charge me $10 to write a prescription. And they were charging me $150 for medication that only cost 30 bucks.

They go above and beyond to make both pets (and pet parents) comfortable. While a flower delivery and sympathy card weren't on our mind from the vet, that's just a single example of the thought that is behind everything they do. They truly are a class act and perfect example of compassionate service in Orlando. I send all of my friends here when they're in the market for a new vet. Not only are the doctors kind and thorough, but the techs and front desk staff are what really make the difference. They get to know you and your pet and are always rooting for your furry companions. I fully believe they are a large reason why my girls have lived so long - they do routine bloodwork and have caught so many underlying issues throughout the last 6 years between the 2 of our girls (high blood pressure, hyperthyroid, all the things you don't think of for a cat). We've shed a lot of tears in Garden Vet recently, and I want to thank the whole team for taking such good care of Darla and us. Grief is not linear, and can be absolutely overwhelming. We're still healing, but we know Darla was in the best hands.

I always appreciated their care. The way they treated me on the final day of my fur baby's life is something I will never forget. I had been in a month before assessing my (almost) 19-year-old Maltese, and while my mother, sister, and mother-in-law were all vocal that "it's time", my husband and I wanted to do her end-of-life care at home. On the final day, I called the vet's office and asked for a different cough medicine because it wasn't working anymore. Jessica was super kind, and I felt like she almost felt sorry for me because it was clear to everyone that we were holding on way past time. She kindly said she would get with the vet and call me back. I called her again with another follow-up piece of information about the cough's increasing intensity. And finally, when my husband and I faced the fact that she was likely in heart failure or in some other way at risk of a painful death (TMI to list all symptoms here) - I called a 3rd time and could barely utter the words "hi, it's Nellie's mom again. It's time". That was all I could get out. She didn't ask questions; she only facilitated a time that was best for me. We brought Nellie in, and the veterinary assistant and the vet could not have been any more compassionate and reassuring. I've had two other dogs, one euthanized over 10 years ago, and another one died in the OR, and no other vet and team was this compassionate. The kicker, I just received a handwritten card from their doctor and staff. I really don't have time to be writing a novel today as I prepare for a trip and on Super Bowl Sunday before company comes, but for those who are fed up with the corporate-run, money-first, pet-last, pushy clinics, this is the place to go.

Thank God these emergency clinics are open 24/7 because they were able to see her and admit her into their hospital. When I called the emergency number I was answered right away by a very kind person who listened and responded to my frantic questions. The staff was very calm and reassuring knowing that this is my baby. Once we got there the long wait began. I was there for about 4 hours, including an hour in the waiting room, before I was sent home without my pet. The male doctor who came to talk to me promised to send pictures of my puppy receiving treatment throughout the night and next day to reassure me but never did it. I'm a worried mess and calling to check on her is a challenge, I was on hold for over 20 minutes before I could talk to a live human. The building itself is very clean and cold! Bring a sweater if you are going to be here for a while. Every room I saw had a wash station and the staff was very accommodating by providing absorbent pads for my bleeding pup. At this time we are still waiting to see how she will do. She lost a lot of blood supposedly due to pancreatitis. Emergency care is extremely expensive so I advise getting pet insurance before your pet gets sick or injured. They do take Care Credit to help pay for costly treatments.

I'm very grateful that my cat, Beau, is okay, and I want to be clear that the veterinarian who…read moretreated him was kind, professional, communicative, and took the situation seriously. The medical care itself was good. Unfortunately, the customer experience was not. I brought Beau in after witnessing him swallow hair ties, and I was terrified he might have an intestinal obstruction or need surgery. While I was sitting in the room crying and waiting for answers, a staff member came in to discuss pricing in a way that felt extremely cold and transactional, with almost no acknowledgment of what was happening or the fact that I was visibly distressed. I later specifically asked the front desk that this staff member not be sent back into the room. That request was ignored. She returned to address my complaint directly and told me, essentially, that this was "just her personality." In an already stressful emergency, that made the situation significantly worse. The veterinarian handled my concerns appropriately and apologized, which I appreciated. But emergency veterinary care requires more than competent medical treatment. People are often walking through the door scared, upset, and worried that they may lose a member of their family. Basic compassion matters. I'm thankful Beau is safe, but I left deeply disappointed in how I was treated. If you have another emergency veterinary option nearby, I would seriously consider it to avoid having a similar experience.
