Springer's is my favorite ice cream spot in NJ, hands down. I always make an effort to stop here while in Cape May County. The recipes for some of their ice cream flavors remain unchanged from the originals used over fifty years ago. My favorites are the Vanilla, Pistachio, and Coffee, always on a waffles cone.

Been coming here for 45 years, which is how old I am you can't find better ice cream! Be prepared to wait in line! There is nothing like real ice cream! We recommend the chocolate peanut butter cup!

the line wasn't long, so we stopped for yummy springer's ice cream. it's so hard to decide which flavor to get! they are all good, homemade and creamy.

Chocolate overload , banana fudge, chocolate chip , peanut butter banana.... All absolutely fabulous! I have been here in the past and remember being unimpressed, tried to visit a few times over the years but didn't feel like waiting in the long lines ... I wish I had waited! This ice cream is as good as it gets anywhere... super creamy , interesting flavors and a-lot of hype . Springers definitely lived up to its reputation as it was difficult to chose a flavor but they were all amazing. I would say the chocolate overload was the best and banana fudge was a close second. Do yourself a favor and wait in the long line , you will be happy!

Classic | Creamy | Options Classic - Springer's is a staple of life on the 7-mile island. There are effectively two institutions when it comes to ice cream, and this is the one in Stone Harbor. It is the quintessential old-school ice cream spot. You show up and when you get into the building you will be called to the front and will order from the big board. You have to go whether you have little ones, you are a teenager, or you are visiting family - you have to check out Springers. Traditional - They have traditional scoop ice cream here. Springer's has a set of staple flavors and a few seasonal flavors. Take your time whenever you consume because you will have a STRONG brain freeze if you rush. You can look up their flavors online. So, while you are in line definitely look them over because there are typically 25+ flavors on the menu. Options - You have a variety of options for toppings at the Springer's. You can add jimmies (sprinkles - for people not from the northeast), M & Ms, Oreos, gummy worms, etc. Pro Tip - There is limited parking. Therefore plan on walking over. You have to go during the day in the summer. If you go after 6 pm, there will be a line of 50+ people. Pro Tip - When in doubt - Get the BLUE THING. IT'S a calorie overload but well worth it.

We got the pineapple float which is pineapples mixed in with dole whip and pineapple juice. I'd love to try the 5 mile cake next time. It looks like there are 5 layers of pineapple treats. There's also açaí bowls which sound good. The service is fine, albeit a little slow.

I chose the small cone with watermelon whip and a small cone with mango whip. This looks just like soft serve icecream but it isn't. It is frozen fruit like an icy smoothie. It is all natural so it isnt all that sweet. Its basically pureed frozen fruit. A small cone or dish of just whip is $6. You can select protein extras and other health conscious add ins for extra cost. There are also combinations of all kinds. I basically thought of Tropical Smoothie in a cone or dish. It was very refreshing with a bit of brain freeze thrown in for good measure. Not sure how well it will do in this location with soft serve a few storefronts down, and water ice at the other end, but business seemed steady and best of all, the one employee seemed able to get everyone served without long lines. Will definately stop in again for that refreshing something different on a hot day.

Service was quick, lots of quiet younger workers but they were friendly and helpful. The ice cream was delish! I opted for the regular chocolate in a waffle cone and it so good. They have several special dietary options and are kind enough to cover and label those flavors so that there is no cross contamination. My brother in law tried the homemade cookie cup and while it was good it wasn't great. A little too hard and not the best flavor - go for the waffle cone instead. Vanilla peanut butter was also a fan favorite as well as the rainbow sherbet.
