This is a great hotel! We used our AAA discount and it was very reasonable. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It is located in a great area within walking distance to great restaurants. The front desk staff was very welcoming and able to provide things we forgot to pack. The pool and hot tub were were heated and we were able to enjoy them on 50 degree days! The breakfast buffet was amazing!!!!! You get a large selection of items for breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes, french toast, waffles, oatmeal, vegetables, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc.) It had everything you could ask for including Almond milk for those allergic to milk. The breakfast buffet alone is worth the price of the hotel. We will be sure to stay here every time we come to Los Angeles!!!! read more

Good clean hotel. Bed was a little uncomfortable, a little more on the hard side. Room was very well cleaned. Why the 3.5 stars ?? Well because of the beds and breakfast was not that great :/ Beds were uncomfortable, for a marriot and for the price I expected to sleep more comfortable. Pillows were extremely soft. At the beginning it felt good, then as you laid down your head would hit the mattress. I would wake up with aches. The breakfast during the week starts at 6:30am-9:00am. I've stayed at other hotels and breakfast would last till about 10:30am. No body was there to be cleaning the tables as other people finished eating, on that part we had to clean the tables ourselves. Dining place is very limited. Breakfast is blant :/ Know I know that it is true of other yelp reviews. On the other hand customer service was friendly. The housekeepers did an excellent job in having our room clean. So overall Marriot you need to step up your game in more comfortable mattresses and better breakfast. Especially for the price we paid.. read more

I typically don't write reviews but this place deserved one. We have visited LA (universal studios) 3 times now in the last 6 months and have yet to find a hotel we all like, until now. We are a family of 5 ages 4, 17, 18, 33, 38 and we all love it. I'm currently laying in the super cozy bed on our last day to write this. I typically don't sleep well on vacation because the bed, bedding, pillows are uncomfortable but I slept like a baby!! Extra pillow and blankets in the closet came in handy cause the hubs likes to steal the pillows and blast the a/c. Cozy couch, tv has Netflix (AWESOME!), Hulu, crackle. The staff was all super friendly, pool area was fantastic too. They have life size chess, ping pong tables, pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The breakfast had something for everyone. But the only tiny complaint I would have is although there was a lot to choose from the food didn't taste all that great, but that's just me nit picking. The coffee was very tasty though, best I've had at a hotel. This will be our go to hotel from now on. I highly suggest staying here. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights for a visit to Universal Studios. We were very happy with our selection for lodging. We chose this hotel because it was part of the Marriott chain. The hotel I think is less than a year old. We didn't care for the sliding bathroom door and the fact that the vanity was not separate from the toilet/shower. The room was comfy, a good TV, refreshing pool/spa. The free breakfast maybe the best free hotel breakfast I have ever had. If going to universal studios this is a good place to stay. It was at most a 15 minute travel from the hotel. A big plus is that there are lots of dining choices within walking distance if you walk 2 short blocks North. read more

SpringHill housed many families who were re located after the Porter Ranch gas leak late last year. The facility was extremely welcoming to us & I stayed there 2 months. I really wish I would have read the reviews. Horrible, horrible staff. I arrived for a 2 night stay and booked through orbitz. At $300 a night I booked a double queen room with a sleeper sofa because we had 5 people. When I arrived they had the audacity to tell Me my room was not available and that I had to stay in a room with a King size bed and a sleeper sofa with 5 people. 3 of which were adults a 10 year old and a 4 year old. Then they go on to tell me my room is not guaranteed and that all hotels do this. Really?! Wow. I was really amazed at their treatment. We arrived after midnight and their website says room check in until 2am. They then tell me the manager will be in the next day. What manager? They told me this for the night I arrived and the next day. I could not leave to enjoy my vacation because I was stuck waiting to see if they would be able to switch me to the correct room and no reimbursement. Thankfully orbitz was amazing and refunded me the awful night my family and I spent cramped in one bed! Parking?! What parking?! If you arrive after hours be prepared to circle the streets because their garage area is packed and their excuse is that they are close to Universal. Worse experience ever. Stayed at this hotel for a mini family weekend getaway and was very pleased! The hotel is clean and new and close proximity to tourist attractions...we planned a day at universal studios! The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the free Internet and complimentary breakfast...wish there were more options as far as hot food choices however, it served it's purpose... As business travelers we stay in a lot of hotels. This is an excellent hotel. Hannah was very helpful checking us in and even helping us with our luggage. Juanita and William of the maintenance department were also very helpful. Kudos to the hotel for hiring a female maintenance person. In all the years we have been traveling and staying in hotels this only the second time we have encountered a woman in that role. The room was very clean and spacious. The layout was excellent. The hotel has a bar which is rare in these kinds of properties. The mattress was very good. The pool is big and well maintained. On the con side, the breakfast was not that good. Eggs were not that flavorful and the bakery was stale. The wifi in the room was very spotty and the lobby area is almost completely dead for wifi. But the pluses outweigh these issues and we will stay here again. read more

Everything was good until the food gave my wife food poisoning. When you pull up the parking garage is under the hotel making it easy and accessible to the front desk to check in. Upon check in the staff was friendly and prompt, got us check in within a few minutes. One thing I didn't like is that they charge you $15 a night for parking. So, make sure to factor that into your search when shopping around for a hotel. The room we were given was great very spacious. But the top duvet cover must have been reused because there was pieces of a lollipop stuck towards the bottom of the covers. The second morning of our stay my wife has breakfast downstairs as they serve a continental breakfast buffet, and that's were our stay here went sour. Neither of my other family members ate breakfast that morning and good thing we didn't because we all would have been out of commission. Really disappointed with as much money spent here you'd think we wouldn't have an issue like this. read more

Very clean and spacious rooms. Upon check in on December 26 - we requested to change our room from 2 queens to one King. It wasn't available when we were booking online but front desk was able to find me one. It was done with a smile, and the cost of the room actually went down. When we first got there we weren't able to find an accessible parking spot - we have a family member who is in a wheelchair. We parked in a regular spot but the front desk person immediately found us a handicap spot that had just opened up. He saved the spot for us until while my husband went to move our car. We ate dinner at the bar/lounge - and there was only one server/bartender - we order a full dinner with pizza/chicken wings and drinks. The food came out very quickly and our server was so attentive and nice. The rooms are huge, new and clean. My kids were actually sad that we had to check out fairly early the next morning for a Warners Brothers tour because they wanted to lounge around the hotel room in the morning because it was so comfortable. The breakfast area was modern too and it had a nice variety of food. The kitchen staff was also friendly. Only a couple miles away from Warner brothers and not far from Hollywood. Excellent hotel! I booked a standard suite with 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch and it was more than enough space for me and my 4 girlfriends. Both the room and bathroom were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds in particular were very comfortable- good support but also plush. We had great staff service- were able to check in an hour early and towels were brought to our room w/i 15 min of requesting them. The complimentary breakfast was great. Lots of food options- eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, fruit, tons of pastries, a waffle bar, coffee, orange juice,etc. It wasn't the best quality of food but I appreciated the variety and that it was in included in the room stay. A short Uber ride away from Universal Studios. Very close to downtown Burbank. Wonderful time staying here! Couldn't have asked for a better or more convenient hotel for this area. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights with my son and other half. We wanted to be close to Universal Studios. Wasn't next door but wasn't too far. Don't pay for the parking. There is plenty of free parking around. For a suite I expected a bit more I guess. The sitting and bed area were pretty much together with a tv oddly placed between. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows. ihome charger was nice. Everything worked. If you have anyone that gets up in middle of the night to use bathroom might want to bring a night light. When anyone turns the light on in the bathroom the glass door lets the light shine right on the beds. Pool and spa could have used a cleaning. Could see dirt on the bottom. Breakfast was pretty hohum. Cereal, bagels, couple of pastries, oatmeal, eggs, turkey sausage, juices, fruit had pretty much ran out. Didn't see any waffles. My son was hoping for those. Not horrible but not great. Would have probably not bothered me if I were traveling by myself but with a family... read more

clean hotel, walking distance to downtown Burbank, 15 min drive to Universal Studios and LA Zoo, and very close drive to Glendale Americana/dining service ok beds comfortable enough towels in the room but not enough towels at the pool, asked for towels and never came so only my youngest daughter got the towel to walk back to the room and all of us just ran dripping. breakfast better than expected (compared to the other reviews written) Outside patio was entertaining with large chess set and ping pong table. There are lounge areas with a fire pit but they're not turned on. Saw the gym but didn't use it. Frosted sliding restroom designed in the middle of the room was pretty but not functional for a restful night when someone needs to use the restroom middle of the night. probably won't be staying at this location ever again. We're a loyal Marriott family but the walls are paper thin at this location (should've read the reviews before our stay)! We had our 3 daughters with us so we requested a room away from the elevator (the bell and traffic always keeps them up)...so the person who checked us in puts us perpendicular to a hallway that heads out to the pool...not sure that was any better for my kids sleep. I wanted to ask for another room but was willing to try it out. We liked being on the same level as the pool...but On top of the traffic from the pool access the upstairs guests were soooOOOOoooo LOUD! Sounded like they were rolling bowling balls until 1am BOTH NIGHTS! PLUS the windows to the outside traffic was also not sound resistant. We could hear the drag racing at 2am, the trucks and cars near the freeway. I hardly got sleep then had to drive 2 hours home, my husband had to go to work, and my kids (who no longer nap) even slept on the drive home. I told the front desk in the morning and they waived the $16 parking fee ($32 for both nights). This was nice of them but it was not satisfactory. read more

I did not stay here but went to the Nineteen26 Bar and Lounge. It was great for a local place. Happy hour prices. Friendly bar tender, Arika, did her very best with our large crowd. Appetizer food was frozen that gets heated up but it tasted good considering. Biggest problem was food came out in shifts. Otherwise good place to grab a drink. They have a great outdoor upper area , perfect for lounging at night. read more

This hotel was overall a good stay. Friendly staff, clean hotel, great size rooms, good breakfast and beautiful Mountain Views. Parking too high, why charge $17 to guests, we r staying at your hotel. Elevators are way too slow. Beds very firm I personally prefer beds a tad softer. Pool good size but not good enough for the amount of ppl, hot tub was dirty. We got a room facing the pool not too noisy due to the fact that we were on the 5th floor. Liked the yard chess, table tennis, and fire pit was awesome. I asked for a bottle opener and manager came right up with one. Had to give it back right then and there which is fine, the response was quick, great service. Pool area ran out of towels had to wait a bit. Great location, close to restaurants, shopping centers and theaters. Would consider staying again. If you like fried chicken you need to try Gus's world famous fried chicken local eatery, close to the hotel. read more

I checked into the hotel on my first day, and then proceeded on to a full day of activities away from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and I was happy with the room. Upon my return to the hotel that night, I placed the "Do not disturb" sign on the door, so that I could sleep in a bit before check out time. Unfortunately, I was awaken not once but 3 times between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. by knocks on my door from housekeeping. I got up, got dressed, gathered my belongings, and went to the front desk to check out (40 minutes earlier than check out time) and reported the issue. Although the gentleman was apologetic, I was not satisfied with the response of, " We thought you had already checked out." Maybe I need to follow up with a letter to Corporate, hmmmmmm... read more

This hotel is amazing! I have stayed here for an extended period and had a full experience of everything this hotel has to offer. Their staff is superb and very friendly. Maydell, the manager, checked me in and was very helpful. I could list every front desk person and many of the housekeeping staff and they were all courteous, helpful and made my stay very comfortable. The pool, hot tub, and patio area, with giant, warm firepit, are wonderful to spend time in and relax. There is a grill as well that I have used and works nicely! The gym is open 24 hours a day and smaller, but well equipped. The breakfast is higher end for most hotels. Not just eggs and bacon. They have cereals, milks, yogurts, oatmeal, a few different breads and muffins, juices, and all the fixings you would want. I have very much enjoyed my stay here and will come again in the future for a staycation! Thank you Marriott and SpringHill for taking care of me so well! read more
