IF YOU STAY HERE, ASK FOR A ROOM ON THE TOP FLOOR! I'm currently staying on the 3rd floor, and every time the guest on the 4th floor flushes their toilet, it is loud in my room. The plumbing is running right down the wall behind the tv, and it has become a constant disturbance. Who thought of this design should have wrapped the pipes at least. If you are a light sleeper or don't want to hear toilets flushing and the plumbing noise from the floor above, I strongly recommend requesting a room on the top floor. My wife and I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chambersburg while we were in the area for a funeral. We chose this hotel because of the Marriott name and the convenient location. One thing that I found strange was the pricing. I originally looked at a king room, but it was almost $50 more per night than the room with two queen beds. To me, that doesn't make much sense. A room with two beds can accommodate more people, especially since these suites also have a sofa/trundle bed. You could potentially have 3-5 people staying in that room, compared with a king room that would generally have fewer guests. Since breakfast is included, you'd think the room accommodating more people would cost more, not less. I realize hotel pricing is based on demand, but the difference still seemed backwards to me. The outside of the hotel could use a little attention and cleaning up. However, once you walk inside, it's a completely different story. The hotel was very clean, there were no unpleasant smells, and our room was exceptionally clean. I also really appreciated the little personal touch from housekeeping. There was a note from the person who cleaned our room, which I thought was very nice and showed some pride in their work. The location is very convenient, with plenty of shopping, fast-food restaurants and other dining options nearby. It's an easy place to stay when you're in Chambersburg and need everything close by. Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is clean, the location is convenient, and housekeeping did a very nice job. But if you stay here, I would definitely request the top floor because the plumbing noise from the room above is loud enough to be a real disturbance. read more

Beautifully designed room made my stay very enjoyable. I'm not too familiar with the Springhill suite brand from Marriott. When I travel solo, I more towards hotel enmities like a pool and coffee in the morning. Springhill delivered and what made it nice was the surrounding area. Everything you can think of was very close, chain restaurant heaven! The check in process was easy and the front desk person was very helpful. She told me about a 10% discount at Texas Roadhouse as well as her favorite Mexican spot. I thank her, grab my key and overnight bag and head upstairs. When I opened the door, look at my pictures. The room was large and very much in charge. From the comfortable bed to the updated bathroom, my stay gave me an extra pep in my step. Who wants to stay in a hotel with bathroom fixtures from the 70s? I lived in the 70s, an avocado colored sink gives me an ice cream headache. My shower was updated, even the towels felt new. The next day, coffee and a nice continental breakfast was available to the hotel guests. Springhill Suites, it was a pleasure to stay at your hotel. read more

The most heavenly beds you will ever sleep on! I've gotta say I was pleasantly shocked at the comfort and magical nights sleep during our stay. We stayed in a 2 Queen suite that had a separate living room area with desk and couch/pull out bed. Mini fridge and microwave made keeping snacks and small meals on hand easy. The room was clean and maintained well (furniture in decent shape without stains). Breakfast came with our stay, but we learned the waffle maker only comes out on the weekends - a big deal for some in our party... Otherwise, dry pantry items, fruit, hot eggs and sausage patties did just fine for a complimentary breakfast. They also have a full bar, plenty of communal work space, and an outdoor patio with a propane fire pit. The minus one star is because of the pool temperature. Don't get me wrong, the seating area was clean, the water was clear, but the temperature was frigid. So much so, the little ones lips were purple in no time. It clearly didn't stop anyone from splashing around but being heated would've been a complete 5-star package. Staff was wonderful, both late night check-in and midday checkout. read more

Mostly clean (some mold in our shower) with large rooms. Close to interstate and many restaurants. Very nice, accommodating staff. Bathroom has odd frosted door and NEEDS a nightlight. Breakfast didn't start until seven, and was kind of sad. Green bananas. Very little protein except microwave sandwiches. Coffee was lukewarm.... regardless, I'd stay here again if in the area. read more

This is our second time staying in a Spring Hill Suites hotel and we were not disappointed with this one! The hotel is so new and clean! We could actually smell how clean and fresh the room was when we walked in! Staff was friendly- gym was GREAT with plenty of machines! Really great stay!!! Coming from someone who used to work at hotels, this hotel was super clean and everywhere in the building smelled great. Comfy clean beds.Elevator was 5 stars, no finger prints & no weird odor. The only "problem " was a random accident , at 7 am the fire alarm went off due to burnt toast in the lobby breakfast area.We all evacuated and when we came inside, the front desk girl didnt even say "sorry about that" or acknowledge it happened.. but other than that. I stayed overnight Sunday, March 6, 2021. The hotel was nice, but I was surprised to be charged a $50 pet fee. I stayed at Springhill suites, because during covid, I expected them to be extra careful. When I arrived at check/in about 10:45 p.m. the person behind the desk was wearing a mask well below her nose. In other words, not effectively. Being in my 70's with compromised health, I am quite concerned about covid. I said to the woman that the way she was wearing her mask did not inspire my confidence. Her response was, "I get off soon." She did not attempt to fix her mask. She handled my credit card etc., and I felt the need to sanitize everything she touched. I hoped she was not an example of the typical employee at this Springhill Suites by Marriot. Not my first choice for my next trip. read more

Arrived and found our in room refrigerator not working. Compressor was hot and pungent smell came out of refrigerator when we opened it. Notified front desk. They didn't seem to care. 2 day stay and refrigerator was never repaired, looked at or replaced. Front desk claimed maintenance looked at refrigerator and fixed it when we inquired about it again. So either front desk lied to us or maintenance individual lied to front desk. Rooms were not cleaned either during our stay. Front desk individuals really weren't concerned with our issues. Won't be staying here in the future. Plus toilet stopped flushing last day. read more

I just stayed here last weekend. There were a lot of hotels I could have chosen, and I'm so glad I chose this one. The property is amazing. It's just three years old, but looks like it was just built. Our room was so spacious and clean. Excellent sitting area with couch and private desk area. I've never seen a desk area like that. It's perfect if you want to work quietly and privately. You will love the walk in closet and the beds are so comfortable. The location is convenient...close to everything and all of the staff was amazing! I can't say enough good things about this hotel, and I can't wait to come back here and stay again and again!! read more

I stayed here for 2 nights. Arriving very late the first night. I was greeted by a polite gentleman that checked me in efficiently and let me go on to my room. Once there I realized I didn't give him my vehicle information so I called. He answered very politely and advised he didn't need it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom clean as well and modern. The following morning I was delightfully surprised to see the breakfast had food that was allergy friendly and well stocked. When I returned after a busy day and a rotisserie chicken from BJ's I was impressed further that I was able to obtain utensils to eat and the milk fridge was available so that I could have some anytime I wanted. After dinner I went to the bar to have a beverage and stimulating conversation with a lovely young lady that was working there and going to beauty school to make her dreams come true. All in all this is the best place to stay. I will be back in the future for another wonderful experience. To the management: your staff are very friendly and proud of the work they do there. Great hotel! Definitely worth the 5 star rating. Room was clean and plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and enough room for 2 adults to stay with out stepping all over each other. Shower was nice and bathroom was a nice size. Would be nice to have the toilet in a separate room but other than that bathroom was good. I didn't eat the breakfast but by the looks of it there was a lot to choose from. It was a great addition to the area. read more

I loved my stay here!!!! It was clean , the rooms were beautiful and the staff was very helpfu. You gotta stay here. The pool was smalll but if you don't swim this does not matter. Its close to everything.....Everything! It's a Sheetz on the premise. I want Marriott to know that the staff here are Leaders and use all hospitality skills allowed to make sure your stay is Great! My husband and I were traveling home to Charlotte, NC from upstate New York and found this hotel while driving as a halfway point. I was able to call and easily book a room for us and our dog on the main floor and hour ahead of our arrival. The hotel is new and the room was LOVELY! It was modern, but tasteful, not too IKEA-modern. Beautiful bathroom, walk in closet, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was advertised to start at 7 but everything was out and ready at 6:40 so we were able to eat quickly and get on the road again. We will definitely stay here next time we travel through Chambersburg! read more

We stayed here for one night while heading South to an event. This hotel is new and very nice, check in was fast and easy. There are many places in the area to dine or shop. The only downside is there is ongoing construction in the adjacent lot. Two thumbs up and recommended! read more
