We stayed one night November 2025. What a dump!!!! We were given a handicapped room - WHY? IT WAS HORRIBLE. The carpet was soaking wet, the couch (label was West Elm) was like sitting on bench of buckboard, a tiny, tiny sink, tiny microwave, dirty, poorly laid out, window that was left crooked and open so impossible to close, bad layout. There was nothing good about the experience. I called the hotel to book and was quoted a different price than online (cheaper) but charged the more expensive online price. Even my cat was offended. Last time I want to stay in a Marriott property. Run, don't walk, to Candlewood, Hampton Inn, I think the Motel 6 would be a better bet. read more

Came into town to do a little bike riding on the C&O canal towpath (that was a very good experience). We got there about an hour early on Friday, checked in quick and easy no questions asked. [Take notes Best Western, Elizabethtown,PA and your $20 early check -in "policy". We mentioned our bikes and I am sure that the excellent staffer taking care of us (throughout the stay the staff was flawless) put us in a 1st floor room right off the entrance area. The suite easliy fit our two bikes in the entryway, they were never an issue during the two days/nights. The room was clean, bed was the good firm standard Marriott that I prefer. The shower was good, we had no issues with the room. The breakfast is pretty standard for this kind of setup. There are a couple of hot options and plenty of other things to choose from. The most finnicky eater can find something. They should consider reorganizing the couch in suite (and get a more comfortable one). It's hard for two people to watch TV in current location. We used it for an hour or so on first day, but spent the rest of the time in the room on and off the bed. There is road noise becuase the hotel is adjacent to a main highway and a mall. If you are looking for a quiet mountain cabin look elsewhere. There was one issue that the staff on hand had no control over but it should be corrected as soon as possible. My wife choose this hotel specifically for the advertised (and in the existing photos) hot tub/spa. We like to have that available after the rides we do. It's a nice treat for the non tour de france crowd after a long day on the bicycle. When we got there no spa. They had "recently" remodeled [still shows as existing on the signage]. We could see exactly where it had been. The pool was slightly heated and we did enjoy it briefly after our longer Saturday ride, but it is not the same, nor what we had specifically [paid] for. If in the area we would stay again, if we didn't want hot tub access. I prefer Marriott properties and they are consistently good, as was this location. read more

Very nice staff, beautiful hotel, well kept up and close to almost anything you would need nearby. Every single person we met who was working there was friendly, polite, and more than willing to give us tips about the area and make suggestions for meals and outings. The place is also dog friendly which is great, and I never felt like our pups were being sneered at which does happen at some places. Also the laundry in the basement works well just be sure to bring quarters. read more

After 3 years of patronage to this establishment they removed the hot tub, despite it being the best feature of the entire hotel. The blankets are wildly uncomfortable, the A/C was extremely loud and came on at the most inconvenient times, the shower looked as if it has never been washed, the t.v.s placement was inconvenient, the charging ports didn't work, the snacks at the front desk were overpriced, the breakfast was abysmal, one elevator hasn't worked in over a year and the other shakes and rattles like the cable will snap at any moment. I arrived about an hour prior to the posted check-in (just after 2pm) and the woman at the front desk was great. She asked if I wanted a high floor and I said yes, so she assigned me a room. Unfortunately it was on the side facing the interstate and it was LOUD. I can deal with a bit of traffic noise, but this felt like I was sitting in the middle of the interstate. I ended up calling down to the front desk and asking if I could be moved to the other side of the hotel. The woman at the front desk (maybe her name was Sylvia? I wish I remembered it) got me into a room on the other side. So definite A+ as far as service! As a note, the odd number rooms overlook the interstate so it's VERY loud over there - definitely request an even number room to get more quiet as that side overlooks the mall area. To maximize the quiet, request a low number room (like 300-312 - even numbers only) as the higher the number, the closer to the interstate you are on the side. That's the one reason I took a star off - the noise. The rooms themselves are nice enough. I got the king and it's got everything you need - mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. It was clean and the bed is pretty comfortable. There was more than ample hot water, which is a plus because sometimes in hotels the water doesn't get hot enough or stay hot long enough. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash also smelled nice. The amenities seem good enough but I didn't partake of the fitness center or pool, nor did I eat breakfast since I wanted to sleep in. The lobby is nice and clean and cozy. The location is unbeatable. You can walk to the mall, Starbucks and some other shops. Target, Sam's Club, Walmart and even more shopping are very close and the outlet mall is only a few miles away. There's a ton of restaurants as well. The price was pretty good - especially considering that I booked the day before I was staying. All-in-all I would definitely stay again when in the area, but I'd ask for a room in the more quiet area. read more

Clean and quiet, located near the intersection on I-70 and I-81. It's also right next to a shopping mall and there are a half-dozen restaurants within easy walking distance. I've stayed in SpringHills before and this one is the same sort of format. Free breakfast in the morning with juices and eggs and the like. Coffee. The room is a decent size with a half-divider between the bed and the work/sofa area. The sofa does extend to a proper fold out bed. There is also a mini-fridge and microwave plus coffee service. Wifi worked well. In the bathroom, they've traded floor space for shower size. It's a nice large shower with the usual curved shower curtain rail but the toilet is so close to the tub that the curtain is nearly in your lap. I do generally avoid the SpringHill only because of that free breakfast. The free breakfast tends to attract families and kids. Kids make noise. I was fortunate that there was no large noisy group this week. The housekeeping staff reset my room well. A good stay. read more

I give this hotel a meh. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy, but all the pillows are down so you wind up lying flat on your mattress. The breakfast is very nice with something for everyone. Tho do NOT get a room facing the highway. Is is crazy loud (even tho the surly front desk people may say that it's not). Wifi stunk. We checked in and couldn't get connected to the wifi after dealing with marriott tech support. Kept getting failure message on our two iphones and ipads. Sooo odd. Pool and whirlpool were nice, and towels plentiful. For one night, we were OK, but anything more I would stay somewhere else. read more

My wife and infant daughter stayed here for 5 nights during the holidays this year and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this property. First off, the previous reviewer, for all her stated travel experience must not stay in hotels very often. Marriott brands are consistent across the country and Springhill is probably Marriott's lowest end option except for Fairfield Inns. As such, you'd have to be pretty out of touch to expect room service here or have never used the internet to look at a hotel's website before. It would be like going to a Econolodge and complaining that there was no concierge available to book your cricket lessons. Now that I am done ranting, we happened to arrive at the hotel at 6:30 AM on the day of our reservation. Since we were exhausted from driving through the night with our baby, I took a shot and tried to check in that early. The manager was extremely helpful and decided to check us in since it was the holidays. Bonus point #1. We also requested a crib and within an hour a portable crib was in our room and up, making our lives much easier. Bonus point #2. The breakfast area was just big enough to host a large number of people in the hotel. Every table was full but we never had to wait for a seat. The food itself is what you would expect from an economy hotel with a free, hot breakfast: waffle maker, bagels, muffins, sausage, and fake eggs. However, the staff were great about keeping it filled and clean and we only ate breakfast outside of the hotel 1 day. Bonus point #3. The hotel is located right next to the Valley Mall with shopping, food court, and some bars/restaurants. My only gripe with the hotel at all was that there is no walking path from the hotel to the mall, making pushing a stroller almost out of the question. Overall, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were exceptionally clean and with free parking and breakfast, you can't beat the price. It will be our go-to hotel when staying in Hagerstown to visit family and friends. read more

2.5 This new hotel is perfect for a small corporate group to get together for a training session or a conference. A training group is what brought me out to the small town of Hagerstown, Maryland. I arrived at the Baltimore-Washington International airport and hopped in my company town car to be driven a little over one hour to this hotel. There isn't much to see on the way. A lot of nothing surrounded by fast food joints. The driver told me that about 35 miles from where we were was where Gettysburg occurred. Not being the history buff I really could have cared less, but it seems that is all Hagerstown is famous for. Upon arrival the check in girl seemed like she was the one who just traveled from one time zone to the next, very blah and uninformative. After check in I was ready to see where I was going to reside for the next four evenings. Not bad, but not WOW. I did like the swivel LG Big Screen, which never got turned on ironically. There's a fridge in the room, which is a huge bonus for me. Long business trips means long hours and being fed over salted over sweetened food. I like to find a grocery store and load up on fruit and store the goodies I usually travel with. After checking headboard for bed bugs I had to check out the "luxury sheets" the website was raving about. Eh, no biggie, they were comf but nothing to write Yelp about. One huge plus, the gym I made full use of, with big screen centered next to the indoor pool. One huge minus, no room service! Don't these people know business people get hungry too?! Thanks for the Pizza Hut recommendation but I'll stick with the stow away fruit smuggled in my luggage. The website makes the joint look swanky, but I guess this is swank to Hagerstown. read more

Very nicely kept hotel. Rooms were clean. We had a microwave, small fridge and wetbar area with a sink. Bathrooms were well maintained. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable and the gym had elliptical, treadmills, and dumbbells up to 50lbs which was nice. The breakfast was actually decent, and the front desk always had chupa chups or cookies to nosh on. Convenient location by Valley Mall. Nice mall with plenty of food options and stores. read more

Clean and convenient, nice staff. BUT the heating/ac unit in the room is so darn loud it's impossible to get a good nights sleep! It clicks, bangs and vibrates all night long!! At check out the desk staff was very kind about my complaint and said they get complaints often about the noise and offered a $20 credit. We only stopped there because we needed a restful sleep to continue our road trip to Boston instead we are exhausted! Unfortunately there are no full service hotels anywhere in that area and we needed to stop. Very frustrating! Manager credited back room charge but truthfully there's no credit good enough for being robbed of a much needed good nights sleep! read more

Went back and they're still awesome! In the middle of a renovation which should be finished in mid-January. Our room had been finished recently and was beautiful. Everything has been or is being updated - inside & outside the rooms, lobby & dining room, too. Aside from having to wait on the elevator and a little noise, the renovation didn't bother us. Service is incredible here. Friendly, fast, informative...! The entire hotel is clean and sparkling! The breakfast was perfect for me and my kids. Waffles, low-fat yogurt with fruit and granola, cereals, breads, eggs and turkey sausage. The coffee was the best I've had at a hotel in years. We've bookmarked this place and will make it a regular stop on our trips between NY and NC. Check Yelp for great, local dining options. Quiet and conveniently located this place is clean and affordable. A decent free breakfast and wifi are also pluses. The staff here from the front desk to housekeeping are particularly pleasant. My car broke down and I was stranded here unexpectedly. Quazell was a real gem helping make the best of a bad situation. Her pleasant and accommodating nature was fantastic. Accepted us without a reservation. Reasonable rate given proximity to DC. Lovely rooms, very nice hot breakfast. Pool and exercise room. Located right next to a shopping mall, near a family diner, a brewery, and Starbucks. Staff very kind and accommodating. A number of families en route to vacations were there. I forgot my favorite pillow there and they saved it for me. They could not have been any more kind or gracious. read more

Stayed at this property on July 3, after driving from GA I was just looking for a nice quiet night of sleep. I got into my room and went to take a shower and there was hair all in the bath-tub, called down to the desk, the phone just rang about 20 times, too exhausted I just ran the water and let the hair fall down the drain. Of course now how alert, I checked the bed, thankfully there was no hair. I had the AC set at a comfortable 70 degrees, at about 3am I was awoken but what I thought was a 757 jet outside my window, no it was the AC unit, it had stopped working, it was a relaxing 78 in my room, called the front desk, no answer, just put a cold towel on my forehead and was able to go back to sleep. The next morning I got up, went to the desk to check out and told the person working about the issues, she shrugged her shoulders and said-oh sorry, that was it, nothing else. Guess I'll look for another place to stay when traveling through the area again!!!! read more

This hotel was not to bad. They can add more tv's in the room to accommodate more than one guess. It's hard to watch the same thing everyone else likes...:). Very comfy sleeping arrangements for our big family, with a sofa bed and two queens in a sprawling studio room.
