My husband and I stayed here to attend the Memorial Illumination at Antietam Battlefield about a half hour away due to the many positive reviews. We received exemplary service and completely enjoyed our stay. The room and any other part of the hotel we saw was spotless. The bed was big and fluffy and soft beyond belief for a great couple of nights' sleep. The free breakfast bar was kept well-stocked and was constantly being attended to and cleaned by several friendly and efficient employees. They even had ready-made omelets and scones in addition to every other breakfast food imaginable. Free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available 24/7 in the lobby. There were also snacks, drinks, and a small selection of beer, wine, and microwaveable meals available by the front desk all the time. We had a problem with the noisy people in an adjacent room and were very satisfied with the attention and compensation given to us by the front desk manager, Stephanie Milton. If you are visiting the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel. read more

This hotel is extremely clean and accommodating. The pool was just the right temperature and well maintained. The fitness area was small but nice. The morning breakfast offers something for everyone. The beds are comfortable and clean. We also found a number of places that deliver food which was nice since after a long drive we didn't want to drive to go eat. Clean and inviting! They actually answer the phone. Check in was smooth as can be. Stephanie at the front desk made it happen and gave us a room closer to the elevator since I was traveling with my elderly father who has mobility issues. The room and bathroom was clean. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast is convenient and looks very good. They serve everything from hot/cold cereals, yogurt, fruit, muffins, bagels, eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The waffle maker is always a crowd pleaser too. Totally impressed with all the other sides and accompaniments for the waffles and cereals. They really have it covered. Most importantly, the staff maintain the breakfast area and are always smiling and go out of their way to be helpful. Clean and efficient for sure. read more

Very clean, smells nice inside, everything is spotless! Very up to date with several outlets and USB plugs ins. Great shower good water pressure and gets nice and hot. Clean lovely heated saltwater pool and a nice gym, and washer dryers on sight. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. The breakfast in the morning is also great. With 2 kinds of waffles with at least 6 different toppings, oatmeal with toppings options, 3 kinds of cereal, muffins, scones, fresh fruit, 3 kinds of juice, eggs bacon sausage potatos, English muffins, toast, bagels, yogurts, fresh hard boiled eggs. Located next to I-81, I had a room that was not facing the highway. As such, it was mostly quiet with just a few slamming doors and hallway noise until bedtime and again in the morning. No noise through the walls. The room was clean and comfortable. I got to spend an extra day in the room as I caught a stomach bug. When I did venture out, I asked the front desk to have housekeeping strip the bed and when I returned, they had done a great job. Standard Hampton breakfast with eggs and bread for toasting, oatmeal, waffle maker and the rest. It was well maintained and organized despite being quite busy. Not much within walking distance. Although this is a very new Hotel, it was seemingly understaffed. Bathrooms dirty, trash barrels overflowing. Check in clerk noted that a couple staff members called in sick, so hopefully it was a limited time problem. The breakfast food was edible, but tasteless. Fleas! My sister and I stayed at this hotel from Friday 8/2 - Sunday 8/4 in room 338. We arrived on Friday afternoon, dropped our bags then left to visit family. I noticed some red, itchy bites on my ankles while out but thought they were mosquito bites. Later that evening when we got back to the hotel, I was sitting on my bed and noticed a flea land on my white sock! I thought perhaps it tagged along from outside, but then later saw another flea jump onto my foot, then several more as I set my foot on the floor. We let the front desk team know and asked them to vacuum the room and change the bed linens, which they did but the next day, we continued to see fleas in the room. I came home with a ring of flea bites around both ankles. This is a pet friendly hotel, which is fine, but there should be stricter standards and more thorough cleaning protocols for rooms where pets have been to ensure no fleas for the next guest!!! read more

I stayed here for a night and a half, as I met my parents for a little visit. Well it was quite a long trip for them, and only a 5 hour drive for me, but I was homesick and they gladly indulged me in my need for some family time. When they booked the hotel, one thing I didn't notice was the place was not pet friendly. Now, had i been traveling with my dog this would have been a problem. It's been difficult finding pet friendly hotels in the past and I was surprised this specific location wasn't. No big deal, at least this time, the place will never attract pet owners and their furry companions. Now, on to the hotel. The place was nice and clean, typical Hampton inn, with large plush beds and multiple pillows that fall flat when you lay on them. The a/c made some weird humming noise of course after I fell asleep, after a 445 am arrival time. I'm a night owl.... There is the continental breakfast that I dragged myself down to, which was pleasantly surprising and hot. And fresh. And yes, they had my go to staple of Cheerios. Bonus. No issues with checking in or checking out, and multiple doors with key card entry so one doesn't have to schlep the whole way down the long hallway. One tip: get a room away from the highway, especially of you're noise sensitive. Two tips: find another place to stay of you're traveling with a pet. read more

Staying here for one night. So far hotel is everything you would expect from a Hilton branded hotel. Spoiler alert. You will have to really search for food options. Exit 7 has some.. This exit is limited on food choices. There is a bar in hotel so that's nice for those that like to drink and pay a premium for domestic bottles. Free coffee and free breakfast in the morning. I stayed here for my wedding and the hospitality was great. All the employees were so nice. The manager gave me and all of my guests a discounted room rate. They let us use the conference room for a wedding after party and the next morning for breakfast. I'd love to stay here again if I'm in the area. read more

Beware of calling the desk for help....my friend was removed by the police the other night for complaining about a loud party in the hall outside her room. Instead of removing them or asking them to disburse, they called the police and had my friend removed. Not a great way to handle customers. They could have just given her a more quiet room. This hotel was the closest to the Whitetail ski resort for a very reasonable price. Also very close to the freeway. Staff were all very friendly. Room was a good size and very clean and comfy. Breakfast was good too. They open 6am-10am. Plenty of choices- scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, cereals, and i love the waffle maker. And for a coffee lover like me. I love that they have choices of either a strong, regular or a decaf. If you're in a hurry they could provide you a to go bag for breakfast. The only downside with this place is it is not walking distance to any restaurants. But there are plenty of restaurants around the area who would deliver to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely come back if I'm around the area. It is not a 5 star hotel but because of the price i paid for the service they gave, and the cleanliness of the place they deserve a 5 stars from me. read more

So happy I booked here on our trip to drop off a college student. Clean, comfortable and a good price. The breakfast was good, the coffee good and hot and will hold us over until our next stop on the road. Only complaint is the limited pool hours. When traveling long distances, we like a quick dip to relax before bed. Pool closes at 10. Why not keep it open to 11 or 12. No life guard anyway, camera in pool and front desk is staffed. Clean lodging in Hagerstown with convenient access to route 81. Looking for a place to stay on my way up north, I decided to stop in at the Hampton in Hagerstown due to having positive experiences with Hamptons in the past. This one was just as good or better than the rest. It appeared brand new, everything appeared shiny and nice in my room. The price point wasn't too bad either coming in at $110 for the night including tax. Amenities included a pool and fitness room. Breakfast was also included in the stay and was pretty decent as far as hotel breakfasts go. If you're looking for a clean, convenient place to stay that you'll feel safe in this is a good place to look. read more

Our visit here was the best experience I have had in years. We had a very short wait checking in. The staff at check in were courteous and professional. Our room was spacious and clean, and the housekeeping and maintenance staff are to be commended. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept soundly that evening. Although the breakfast area seemed identical to other motels, we found the appliances clean and well cared for. The food selection was well above average, with fresh cut fruit, delicious scrambled eggs with diced ham and cheese. We were traveling from Alabama to Ware Massachusetts. It was rainy and slowed us down so we needed a good clean safe place to stay. The Hampton Inn was all we expected and more. It was easy to check in and out. The rooms were clean and modern. We would highly recommend the breakfast. The variety of food was just amazing. A breakfast buffet like that would cost you 10-20 dollars easy. Sometimes hotels throw a little something out there to say they have breakfast-not the Hampton Inn. They had fruit, pastries, waffles, a variety of breads. It was a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel is easily accessible to Highway 81 and that was another bonus for us. The hotel was easy to get to, get in and out of. The hotel room seemed new or at least remodeled. The beds were new and comfortable. The color scheme was gray, white, and black very soft on the eyes, and relaxing to the mind. Great for rest. Over all the hotel has a comfortable atmosphere. This placed started out very nice. Was upset that there were no breakfast to go bags or never a cookie in the evening. I've come to enjoy the breakfats on the go since I am always leaving super early and would like something for a little later. Thsi was also under contruction and they shut the back door down so we parked out front near a curb and I stopped to tell the front desk and she was very rude about it. After I had a little fuss with her she got extra nice and took my room number down in case they needed me to move, she left out one big step, finding out which car was mine since there were a bunch of other cars parked like that. After a long day on the road, we were looking for somewhere to stay that would be clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. We found that and more at this Hampton Inn! Right off the highway but still very quiet. The breakfast was a step above the usual waffle maker and juice, with many options including scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast and oatmeal with fresh toppings and a nice assortment of breads and pastries. The room and bedding were very clean and fresh, great night's sleep. Nice little charging station for all our devices, too. Easy check in/out, would definitely stay there again!
