I called and texted multiple times to the number on the main front door. No avail. We had to stop a woman doing a ghost tour to let us in the side door. The room was exceptionally hot. 3rd floor. Very poor communication. I was texted a new number, "try this" an hour later. Not at all what we paid for. Please try to improve communication with your patrons.

We were hoping for something closer to actual decoration of the time not uncomfortable paintings and dolls. When leaving (we left early for a family emergency) I emailed (which is the fastest communication they said. Explaining we were leaving. No reply, sent another email, no reply. Then finally in the morning I wanted to confirm they got any of the emails, and finally one came back. Communication isn't the greatest. Also, the parking is horrible. If each room has a spot. There should be a sign that it is that's room parking spot. There is no signage and if you get there in the dark your screwed to even know it the right parking lot. I had high hopes for this B&B but it definitely fell short. If you're looking for a "spooky" place this may be it. It all seemed a bit fake to me. I did appreciate the 2 fake fireplaces we had in our room. It hit under 40 over our stay at night, these were great. If you have neck/back problem-bring your own pillows or whatever you need. The pillows reminded me of the deflating hospital pillows. Also, there's a shareable hot tub and we didn't know about it. Maybe because it was off season, things weren't running smoothly? Not sure.

The location is good. The breakfasts were uneven: one outstanding, one pretty awful (a cold Egg McMuffin and cottage cheese?), and one so-so. But perhaps they had a new or temporary cook, because other reviewers did not seem to find this to be the case. We did not find a book in our room with information? Instructions on operating the thermostat would have been helpful, as it got quite cold the third night. Parking is very generous. All in all, we would return, as this was definitely the nicest of the three B&Bs in which I have stayed in Gettysburg.

We made reservations at the Brafferton, and it was the best choice ever! We were greeted by the owner as we pulled up to check in. We were given a tour. We were shown where they put the free cookies for guests, and there is 24-hour coffee and tea available in the main room. After the tour, we relaxed in our time-appropriately decorated room. It was beautiful and very comfortable, with a separate sitting room and exclusive access to a deck. After a great night's sleep in our quiet and very comfortable room. We went down for breakfast at our chosen time. There were numerous options on the menu. All were freshly made to order and delicious! Do NOT pass up on the Brafferton Inn!

Mrs. Emily Secules, the proprietor was gracious, very helpful, and made our sumptuous breakfasts' to order. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The Manor is an older estate in wonderful shape. Emily and her husband have spent many hours and lots of work maintaining and improving the house, assisted by a lovely young student temporary resident named Katelynn. The fruits of their labor are apparent. The water is hot, the bedding is comfortable and cozy, and the towels are the best I have ever used. The Manor has at least 8 bedrooms/suites available, each with its own unique ambiance. Its location almost directly across from Wilson College makes it an ideal destination for parents when visiting students at the college or when visiting the area searching out civil war destinations. The Manor has a civil war history of its own which Emily is happy to share. I cannot recommend this Bed and Breakfast enough.

A cute front porch covered with two chairs and a covered picnic table. We arrived and checked in for 2PM they have a little camp store with some items, and they also sell ice cream from a local ice cream shop. The man at the front desk was great. We also got some homemade cookies, which I thought was a great touch. They had an activity on Saturday which was nice, they had clean restrooms and a nice pool. The game room was a little sad, and nothing was turned on when we went up. The owners are super sweet as well. I talked to the wife, and they have been running things for 60 years!
