The room itself was relatively clean and very spacious. We had two queen beds plus a pull-out sofa, which made it super comfortable for spreading out. That layout is honestly one of my favorite things about SpringHill Suites. There were just a couple housekeeping misses. The shower could definitely use a deep cleaning. There was slight mold in the corners and somehow a half-consumed bottle of wine was left in the corner of the room. (Needless to say, I passed on the mystery beverage. ) On the positive side, the breakfast bar was well stocked with sausage, eggs, oatmeal, and yogurts, so it was easy to grab something filling before heading out. I also appreciated that security patrolled the parking lot at night. Overall, not a bad stay, just a few details that could be tightened up to make it a better experience. read more

This is a very lovely hotel that is surrounded by highways and other hotels. I really like it. I love how cozy it is and no fuss. The rooms are comfortable when you walk in, it is a respite from the heat and rain. I was treated to my first visit after I had completed surgery and my sister didn't want me climbing up the stairs. It was such a sweet gesture. The beds are so soft and enveloping when you bury under the blankets. The blankets feel so cool on your body and clothes. This hotel has a gym that is always in use which has a lot of nice equipment to work out on. The lighting is good outside. They serve breakfast every day and so you have that option if it interests you. The staff here keep the place clean and sanitized. They are friendly and professional. When you walk in the front lobby you are greeted with some fresh made lemon and lime water to refill your water bottles, just follow instructions. I really enjoyed my two visits to this hotel and will use it again just for me or when family is in town and I put them up in here before they spend the night with me. read more

Marriott brands never disappoint. Here in town for my parents dual citizenship appointment at the Philippine Consulate. Everything was done virtually except for the part where you sign your certificate in person. We came a day early since their appointment is at 10am and none of us wants to get up at 4am to make sure we are not for their appointment. Our night was comfortable in addition to the fact that there were maybe less than 10 guests in the whole building. You don't hear a whole lot of banging of doors from other guests coming in and out of their rooms.our room is updated with plenty of room and even a small walk- in closet. Fridge, microwave, and disposable utensils, plates, and coffee cups are also available in room. We didn't have to request for it. They also gave us hand sanitizer wipes when we picked up our door card. The hotel is located less than 3 miles away from the Consulate. Near China town but unfortunately we didn't get to explore the food culture since we are still very careful eating out, going out and about and just bring around a whole lot of people. read more

Was excited to reserve this place since we like trying out newer hotels. It was convenient in a way since we were stopping by Chinatown area and it was literally right near it. Its located very convenient off Sam Houston Tollway and Westheimer. There's a nice Starbucks and Jimmy John's by it. You can miss it if you aren't looking for it. Check in was smooth. Cordial and ok. No complaints. Room in itself was standard and a bit small but it will do for just 1 night. Some things that stood out was that their pillow was tall and not too comfy. There's not a cold setting for the shower either which is ok better than no hot lol. But just odd because it was rather hot or warm hot. Closets are huge. A.C. was stable at 1st but then it got cold. There were stains on the towel like blood stains that didn't wash off. That's not that great to me especially for a Marriott establishment. Thats a pet peeve of mine. Cleanliness :/ The breakfast was good though as usual. All in all it wasn't a bad place for a night. Got a great deal with our rewards but will we stay here again? Not sure unless we are around this area. But it was a good 1st night of our road trip stop. read more

My go-to hotel at Houston. I only hang out at Chinatown and the museum district during any vacations at Houston. This hotel is at the perfect location for my vacation needs. Just like houses, hotels are worth more if they are at good locations. The stay was rather average, but I'm not picky as long as I'm provided a room that's clean, breakfast, and has a toilet that works. This location fulfills all of those requirements. read more

A brand new SpringHill location that is just off of Beltway 8 in the Westchase area and within a business corridor that contains the likes of Jacobs Technologies, CGG, Quest Diagnostics, and a host of others. And plus, a Starbucks is within walking distance (around 45 seconds). The parking area on all four corners of the property is also quite plentiful, and the area around it felt safe to be in. Spacious lobby and bar area inside, as well as patio seating outside (for you smokers). In addition, a large gym with free weights & a few machines accompany the indoor pool as the hotel's amenities. The SpringHill offers a standard-sized breakfast of sausage/ham, eggs, waffles, bagels, yogurt, etc. Not a Las Vegas buffet, yet sufficient. The rooms are standard SpringHill-style: white and emerald color scheme (particularly the emerald sofa that is a pull-out bed), beds that aren't too hard or soft, stand up shower, bureau, 60-inch flat screen television, microwave w/mini fridge, small coffee tables, and a large desk area with glass partitions that you can slide in or out in order to see the natural outside light from the room's window. With good & efficient customer service at the front desk and a quiet calm throughout during the week, this SpringHill is a convenience for the individual on business, or weary traveler. We had a great overnight stay here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. Rooms were quiet and happy that we had the option to login to our Netflix from the TV. There were 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. The staff going in and coming out of hotel were very nice and greeted us each time. I really liked the fact that after hours the hotel is secured and the only way in is with a key. Breakfast was included and it was ok. Much better than other hotels we've stayed in before. This hotel is fairly new and decor is modernish. 4 stars given because of food. read more

We chose this hotel because we read it was somewhat new compared to the other hotels in the area. When we first got there Friday 8/13, the front desk person was super friendly. He was polite and professional even in the morning. We got to our room and noticed the toilet was not wiped down. It looked like house keeping sprayed cleaning solution all over the place and forgot to wipe it down so there was residue all over the place. Now fast forward Saturday at 3:30am when I arrived back at the hotel. I could no get through the doors because I forgot my room key upstairs. The girl at the front desk too her time and didn't even acknowledge me even though the customer she was checking in made a gesture that I was waiting at the front but she didn't even bother too look at me. I had to then ring the door bell again after she was done with them. She was very polite but I just brushed it off since it was 3:30am. Since my wife and son was asleep I decided to crash on the couch. We used this couch only to put our luggage on and never sat on it. I slept on this couch for about 2 hours until I heard my son wake up so I decided to crawl into the bed with my family. I remembered I couldn't sleep because I was 1 too big for the couch and 2 i was itching from something but tried not to wake my family. When I awoke, we got ready for check out, showered then left. On the way back to Dallas I had a itch on my thigh but didn't think Of much as I was just scratching. Got home and changed to more comfortable clothes and come to find out I had bug bites on my leg. I put some cortisone on it and crashed to bed since I had work the next day. I woke up super itchy again and now the bug bites are so much worst! I had gotten bed bug bites all on my right thigh (the side that was touching the couch). It has gotten worst over the last 2 days since sleeping at this hotel. I have been trying to contact the hotel but I cannot get through. I just want to warn people to be careful and inspect it before sleeping. I was in room 202 just in case you do plan to stay here and want to avoid this room. This review got 1 star because of the nice gentlemen that checked us in. read more

Respond to Hurricane Harvey was Horrible - Disputable owners - Heartless bad people. I hope they are ashamed of themselves. I am a Marriott Gold Member who was required to evacuate due to fast rising water. We made reservations at my favorite hotel, Marriott. We fled with only the clothes on our back and our pets and navigated the storm and high water to get to the Hotel. We were welcomed by a rude clerk who informed us we couldn't check in because they had a strict no pets policy. We begged her to please let us stay one night so we didn't have to head back into the storm. I offer to pay a $500 cleaning fee to cover the dogs in the room. She refused to let us into the hotel. Sent us back into the storm and told us that "If we had wanted to stay at her hotel we should have left our dogs behind." To drown. The worst human beings ever. Even the people in the lobby and standing in line behind me were begging her not to turn my family back into the storm. She simply said No, get out of our hotel. We eventually found refuge in a non-Marriott hotel that was more than willing to break their no-pets policy. They even had towels and hot coffee for us at the door. I will be trading in all my Marriott points to another brand immediately. Please join me in boycotting this hotel and letting Marriott know what an awful franchisee they have at this hotel. read more

This place was very nice. It was semi clean better then most places. It was not a busy time. The counter person was great nice and helpful. It has an inside pool which is nice. The rooms were nice and had a lot of room. Very contemporary. Now for the reason I could only give them 3 stars. The pool closed at 10 and it was 9 and the key card would not let us in. We went to the front desk to find out why and there was only one person working so we ended up waiting in line for 30 mins. He told us because of daylight savings time the clock was off and they had not changed the time on the key machine so he would have to open it for up. We lost 30 mins of swim time. On the up side he allowed us to stay 30 mins longer. The women in the breakfast area need some lessons on how to talk to people. I witnessed one of them arguing with a customer about milk and yogurt In the breakfast area there was no milk out but I guess the customer opened one of the cabinets and there was a frig with milk and yogurt so he got some. Then a lady comes from a room across the hall and starts yelling at him that he shouldn't be in there. Then he asks why they are not offering this stuff (milk & yogurt). She just turns to another lady and loudly says where are the keys so i can lock the cabinet. Than she stands guard by the cabinet critiquing how people are making waffles on the waffle machine. At this point I just got my stuff and went to my room to finish eating. I didn't want to be around if this was going to turn into a brawl. Both sides were feisty. Maybe the guy shouldn't have been going through the cabinets but she could have approached this situation differently with other people around. Besides isn't milk part of breakfast. I know I would have like to have some. Why would they be holding out? read more

This is a newer Springhill Suites and it absolutely delivers! The rooms are well cleaned and everything seems fresh. But the BEST part, BEDS! The beds here are THE BEST I have ever slept on in all my travels, heck, it's better than the one at home! Customer Service? TRIPLE CHECK!!! The whole staff, from the happy housekeepers, the friendly breakfast attendant to the awesome front desk staff! Everyone is friendly, happy and helpful! This group TRULY knows customer service, big shout out to Matt O, he was working their Front Desk at my check-in and he went OVER THE TOP and ABOVE AND BEYOND to keep us happy, smiling and satisfied with the process. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and kept that way for the 4 night stay. One complaint the bar staff was not very friendly seemed as if we were annoying him when we ordered a drink. We were in for a business meeting with several people in our group. We could not get very good service The bar closes at 10 but they stopped serving 15 or 20 minutes before, which was inconvenient. Otherwise the hotel was nice. read more

Loved my stay here. Staff was kind and helpful. (I'm very serious when it comes to good customer service) I do have a few things I didn't like but wasn't too awful. The hotel was very clean! The one thing that bothered us badly was the bathroom door. It is a slide door, sleek and modern but ours was not flushed with the wall so when someone is showering you can have a peek through the opening straight into the shower. Just a heads up. Security was around but sometimes we worried because we didn't see them or anyone in the lobby especially past 10pm. Maybe they were outside? And lastly, the pool is smaller than pictured. I believe its 3ft and its good for you and hubby to chill but don't expect to bring your family of 10 here The place is not really abundant of children of you're looking to relax this is your place. Warm breakfast every morning. Toast, croissants, bagels, pound cake, muffins. Eggs every morning. Ham, sausages, cereal bar, diy hot oatmeal bar, yogurt, milk, OJ, apple juice, cranberry juice. Cold water at the front desk! Ice is down the hall. If they ran out go to the next floor. Decent sized gym not too big but still roomy. Did I mention how clean the place is? Bed was fluffy and comfy. If you sleep by the AC you're sleeping in Alaska! If you like it freezing haha! The lobby was very pretty. The hotel itself is nice however cars were vandalized during our stay. We were the first to report it to the front desk. There were two cars with broken windows and obvious evidence of their things disturbed in their car. My car was used as leverage to enter the car next to mind. I have several car dings from them swinging open and my car is dented. Jon, the manager, is less than helpful and interrupts you when you speak. Great temperament for a manager!!! I left all of my information and no one contacted me after a week. Like all cowardly owners there is a sign saying they are not responsible for anything that happens to your car although the hotel is positioned in a location that is great for criminals. There are businesses next door that are not open in the weekend therefore the criminals were not interrupted. Also there is great access to the highway. Lastly the pool is beyond ridiculous. It's basically a kiddie pool. Will never stay there again. Stay at your own risk and remember nothing will be done if your property is damaged at their hotel. read more

There is an area you can sit with your laptop and make calls near the couch. The layout is very nice, clean sheets, towels, lots of pillows. 3rd stay at this hotel in a year, but 3rd time was not the charm. During our stay on Saturday, Aug 5, our car window was shattered and the car was broken into. Our car was parked at a parking space in front of the hotel in a well-lit area. Heard from others that ours was one of several cars broken into that night. Was sent off with a sorry-to-hear-about-your-mishap from the front desk and help from a hotel worker to put on some plastic wrap and duct tape to seal up. Had to drive 3 hours back to Austin with howling wind noise along the way, and pay $500 for new window glass. Complained to Marriott customer service. The hotel manager's response was a long explanation how it was a criminal gang targeting all the hotels in the area, and how the hotel is not liable because they have signage all over the parking lot. If this kind of break-ins happens a lot, you would think management would take responsibility and beef up security to prevent it from happening again and again. Browsing the various review sites shows break-ins have been happening repeatedly in the past year. Another funny thing is that I have always gotten a post-stay survey from Marriott in all the Marriott properties I've stayed at, except this time - trying to suppress our bad experience off the review? I'm leaving this review on every site I know of. I would have expected a more courteous response from Marriott - offering a coupon for future stay is the least the hotel could have done to keep a customer. I will never stay at this Springhill Suites again. Advise that you don't either. read more

Very rude customer service. Booked 2 queens and when we checked in they put us in 1 Queen (ok no big deal). We checked in past midnight then checked out at 10:00am the next day(business). When I looked at my credit card transaction later that night, the receipts they provided me did not match my charges. They charged my card an additional $30.00 dollars for whatever reason and when i called as to inquire the lady at the front desk was very rude and told me that there is nothing she can do about those additional charges. I've been coming to Houston for work a lot lately in the Sugarland area, and have tried several different hotels. I have to say that this location has been the best so far. My room was on the 4th floor right by the elevator which was a cause for concern initially, but it was incredibly quiet. I never heard the hall traffic, or the elevator. The room was nicely laid out, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. They share a parking lot with Starbucks and Jimmy Johns, so that was just another bonus for them. The staff was very polite, and happy to have a quick conversation with me when I returned to see how my day had gone. All of that plus the breakfast in the morning made for a very pleasant stay. Rooms are ok. Nothing nearlyby except a Starbucks. Tried ordering room service and got the worst hamburger I've ever had. It's like they cooked it until it was dry, then stuck it in the freezer for awhile for a little extra dryness, and then ran it through the microwave to warm it up and extract the last remaining bit of moisture out of it. If you're coming here without a car, order out or have your driver stop by some place for you to pick up food. read more

I had reserved 3 rooms and after 2 of these reservations were taken care of the 3rd reservation shows up and the lady in the front desk named Katherine Cojex says " I think k sold that room" Then she tried to sell me a different room for a higher price! I tried getting a discount because this was very unfair on her part I could not believe this because after she messed up I asked to speak to the manager and she said he was not working today with the rudest attitude ever. I asked for his business card or contact information she gave me the same number to the hotel. This is the last time I will come to this hotel and I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. I understand that his hotel is new but it needs employees that aren't rude up front and that know what they are doing. Very clean and inviting. Great room layout with separate sitting area. Nice touches like plug in outlets on the lamp bases and swivel TV to watch from the beds or couch Area. Comfortable beds and good water pressure in shower. Hotel pool is very small and 3 ft deep. Nice workout room. There is also a nice area outside of the lobby with couches and music playing near a small waterfall. That made for nice relaxation. Only negative was the breakfast. The staff could not keep up with the amount of guests. Long lines formed for the sausage and eggs and waffle maker. Please hotel management... Get a second waffle maker! That was the biggest complaint amongst the guests. Came down at 8:45 and no coffee, oatmeal, sausage or eggs. Juice was out by 9:00. Breakfast was served from 7-10. While everything was eventually restocked I spent 20 minutes in line to make 2 waffles only for the syrup to be out by the time I got them to the kids. What made it worse was the staff was cussing us in Spanish in the hallway and complaining about how we wanted everything. Note to staff... Some of us speak Spanish and can understand what you say. read more

My wife and I reserved a 4-day, 25-room group booking for our wedding guests this past March. We worked closely with the Hotel Manager Matt O, who maintained an open line of communication and ensured to respond within 24 hours. During the week of events, Matt and his team took care of our guests and accommodated all our requests. From providing us with meeting rooms for our special events to passing out welcome baskets we had prepared, the staff's hospitality was felt by all our guests. In addition, when guests misplaced their items (wallets etc.), it was found and returned with no loss or damage. A trustworthy and friendly staff in a brand new hotel, couldn't have worked out better for us! The stay at the hotel was the least stressful aspect of the wedding week and a lot of that success is a result of the hard work of Matt and his staff. Thank You! read more
