Came here for the Texas GOP Convention in June 2026. It's a big convention hotel, but my room was topnotch - a "Corner King" with signs of recent renovation. Everything worked and they're back to daily maid service. They have a fine breakfast buffet in the lobby, with eggs and omelets made to order. The only drawback is parking - the usual self-park garage was closed during some nearby construction, meaning that if you're staying here this summer or fall, you'll have to choose between valet parking ($80/night) or else a pretty hefty hike to garages that allow overnight and in/out parking. Note: Indoor pool only. Not nearly as cool as the rooftop pool and lazy river at the other Convention Center hotel. read more

I didn't stay here, but was here for an event and it was great. The staff in the large Ballroom of the Americas (which would make a great underwear brand name), was amazing. The bar staff was friendly and engaging and the food provided was great. The staff was also amazing at keeping the venue clean and clutter free with a bunch of attendees leaving plates and glassware everywhere. The lobby area was spacious and inviting and it had a Starbucks in the lobby. There was also a skyway to the convention center on both the 2nd and 3rd floor. It super close and hopefully your convention is on the same side as this Hilton, otherwise, you have a long walk to the other side. read more

It would be five stars but the valet service was a nightmare. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. I love Hilton products...the smell is amazing. Of course the location is at the convention center so there's lots of things nearby. Just fix the valet. They tell you to call down so they can pull your vehicle, but they never answer so you're stuck sitting there waiting. read more

It was my pleasure to return to attend events in downtown Houston this year. Particularly, I attended 2 events at Hilton Americas Hotel. I didn't stay at the hotel this time though. This review is based on the convention events. Parking seems to be easier than 8 years ago. I always use the skywalk to cut across the street because Houston drivers don't stop for you if you jaywalk. Great spot next to discovery green for Xmas lights. Staff is helpful and room was clean. Could use some more plugs. There is some street parking if you don't want to spend 65$ for valet. Not much but there is some. The buffet had enough variety. Surprised the bread pudding was really good. The pancakes tasted like beignets. Service friendly and attentive. Was very surprised that this hotel experience went as well as it did. It was very clean, service was decent, and room was great! Great location, and the lobby bar is the absolute best! Not so good: 1. I did not appreciate the locals coming in into the hotel "selling candy for their fake football team". Very uncomfortable and awkward for guests 2. The gift shop selling $7 chapstick. Absolutely ridiculous 3. The waiters offering orange juice or coffee, but not telling guests that it's a charge. They came to our table immediately and said "welcome. would you like some coffee?" I said sure thanks so much. But once they brought the check, it was not free. Maybe that was my fault for assuming, or not asking. But I thought they should let a guest know. read more

Visited Downtown Houston for the Full/Half Marathon. Hilton Americans was promoted as the preferred hotel for the race so it was an easy decision to book with them. The race offered a discounted rate but be prepared for the 17% tax here. The hotel as a whole is impressive. The lobby is grand, there are two elevator banks (east and west) to maximize room access. It is also located near a lot of restaurants, the Discovery Green space, has many conference rooms and connects to the Convention center via skyway. Check-In and Check-Out were very easy. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We loved that they branded a welcome message on the tv for us! The hotel was nice about special accommodations offerings a special runners dinner buffet, opened the starbucks/hotel restaurant early for guests, had branded key cards, and offered late check-out by request. They know hot to handle a large event and had the perfect location to be steps away from everything going on! I would definitely consider staying with them again while in the area next! read more

Time for an update: Just stayed here this past weekend. Times have changed and a lot of the restaurants we used to eat are gone. But its a great location if you're in town for the Astros game. POOL. We finally took our kids to the pool. This place has an indoor pool on the 24th floor. It is very nice, a little narrow but goes from 3-5.5 feet in depth. My babies had their floaties and luckily all the kids splashing water for sport left by the time we came back in from our recon mission. My kids loved it. GYM also on 24th floor and huge. plush. treadmills for days. and nothing but the best, PRECOR. weight machines i haven't had the pleasure to work out on since pre pandemic. After babies I couldn't return to the gym so i bought a treadmill and les mills equipment to bring the gym to my house. BED. comfy. BATHROOM: well i will deduct one star for the sliding barn door. I hate that. In the middle of the night, all you hear is the rattling. Please bring back a real door. Also, the toiletries... come on nobody wants the dispensers. It doesn't say luxury. it says ... hampton inn or holiday inn. Is this the hilton or not? BREAKFAST: we were given free breakfast with the room. It was delish. roasted veg, tajin citrus yogurt, wheat muffin, oatmeal with sugar, cinnamon and pecans... yummy. cream cheese and toast for my 3y, and yogurts for my 4y. inside hotel restaurant: is now pappasitos. right across the hall is pappadeaux. a fan favorite but not really kid friendly. read more

This is a baller-ass Hilton Americas with epic views of the Convention Center and a park in Downtown Houston. They had an event called "CERAweek" going on that showcased how nice the hotel was. Also, there is a convenient FedEx Office (reviewed separately) on the 3rd/4th floor and various seats you can sit at that overlook the park. Very cool place worth checking out and checking into (which I will do one day, soon)! read more

I'm only on my first night but 5 stars for customer service. There was a slight problem with my room and they upgraded me to an executive room, gave me appetizer vouchers and executive lounge access. The bellman that moved my stuff was super helpful and kind. I'm a Hilton Honors member but not that high, just gold, and they really worked to make everything great. Most hotels have really gone down in customer service, but every staff member I have encountered so far has been helpful and kind. And the hotel is beautiful. read more

This is a beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Valet parking is offered. The valet team work tirelessly and efficiently to ensure traffic moves along. Upon entering the hotel, the hotel has touchless door openers. Bell service is offered if you need to keep your bags at the hotel prior or after your check-in/check-out. Check in was seamless. Starbucks is located across from the main lobby desk. There is a bar and hotel restaurant located across from the main entrance. To the right, Pappasitos restaurant is located beside the east elevators. You will need a room key to access the upper floors. The room was very clean, safe and comfortable with an amazing bathroom. The room was stocked with coffee, water, fridge and safe. The city views were amazing. The indoor pool, terrace, spa and sky lounge are located in floors 23/24. You will need a special booking to access the level 24 offerings. Reservations are recommended for the spa. We met two amazing staff members, Mark and Ivan. Both were so helpful in giving explanations of the hotel's offerings. The Hilton Americas-Houston is centrally located and we were near a lot of restaurants, conventions centers and arenas. Ride share drivers were always close. The hotel earned every star. The hospitality was like no other and I will definitely stay here again for my next visit. read more

This hotel is right in the heart of Houston, and we had the chance to stay for one night. The experience was simply amazing. Starting with the pool: it's indoor, but with such a beautiful panoramic city view that it feels like you're outside. The hotel has several restaurants you can easily reach just by taking the elevator, no need to step outside. There's also a Starbucks inside, perfect for coffee lovers. One of my favorites was their breakfast buffet--super complete with options for everyone, including gluten-free choices. You can tell they really think about every detail to make guests feel comfortable. For parking, you can choose valet or there's a parking lot right in front if you want to skip the valet fee. About the price, I can't say exactly since we got our stay through a giveaway, but if you're thinking about staying here, I highly recommend it for its cleanliness, food, and especially the amazing views. Had such a great and seamless check-in experience with the Hilton Honors app. First time checking in on the app and my room was even ready a little bit before check in time. I picked my room as well and was hoping to get a room facing the park and unfortunately the diagram was a little misleading lol ended up facing the convention center, but oh well. Just be careful if you leave the curtains open because the rooms to the right of you may be able to see you. I appreciate it that you can request a microwave to your room. There is a $25 fee though with taxes. Self parking is $38 a day at an adjacent parking garage. It connects via a skybridge on the 2nd floor. You can add the fee to your overall hotel bill. I had checked in on the app and was using the app key to get into my room, so you just need to have the front desk give you an actual key to drive in and out of the garage. Spacious king room. Huge TV and I love the light up large mirror in the restroom and makeup mirror. Overall the staff was excellent, room clean and it was super easy to communicate via the messaging in the Hilton app. read more

If you are attending anything at the Toyota Center...this is the best hotel to stay in because of its proximity. As others mentioned you can self park or valet. Spent four nights here for a business trip recently. Short cab ride from the George Bush international Airport, this hotel was very welcoming from my first step onto the property. Check in process was smooth and effortless. This property is huge. There is an east wing and a West Wing. I stayed on the western side and my room had a great view of the city. Minute Maid Park is just a few blocks down and the Astros were playing their final home stand of the year. Lots of folks in the downtown area, sporting Astros jerseys. Several great restaurants within walking distance. The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job of timely room, turnarounds and keeping the room spotless. Checkout process was also effortless and I really enjoyed my stay. Looking forward to the next time I travel to Houston. read more

It's a very nice hotel and well kept up. I've been staying here for over 20 years, and they have kept things nice and up to date. They get docked a star (at least) because like so many hotels, they've either eliminated room service, or used COVID as an excuse to make things crappy. Yeah. Crappy. You order room service and now it just comes in these crappy little to-go containers. Like, what the hell, man?? Give me the cart with the table cloth and the covered dishes. Covid is over. It wasn't an excuse during covid (you presumably washed the dishes, right?) so it isn't an excuse now. It's just tacky. Same with the every other day housekeeping. Y'all's stock price is just fine. Give customers good amenities again. Rant over. It's a nice hotel and it is comfortable if you're here for business or staying over after a game. read more

On August 30, I posted a review about an incident that occurred during my stay at Hilton Americas-Houston. Shortly after, I received a call from +1 (832) 819-9578. The caller identified himself as a Hilton employee and specifically told me that the bracelet my wife purchased for me as a wedding gift had been found. He apologized for the delay and assured me I would be contacted soon with instructions to pick it up. That follow-up call never came. Out of concern, I contacted the hotel again and spoke with Supervisor Benjamin. I provided him with the date, time, and phone number of the call. He later informed me that the employee admitted making the call but denied ever stating the bracelet was found, claiming instead that he was only following up regarding my original review. The problem is that I had the call on speakerphone, and both my wife and my mother-in-law clearly heard the gentleman say the bracelet had been located. For him to now deny it not only adds to my frustration but also deepens my disappointment with how this situation has been handled. This bracelet means more to me than just jewelry, my wife worked hard to buy it, and it represents our wedding day. To have it lost is painful enough, but to be misled by an employee has only fueled the frustration. I truly hope Hilton Americas-Houston addresses this matter seriously and prevents other guests from having to go through the same experience read more

Terrible , wouldnt allow me in without holding my keys withoutany receipt. .im trying to check into hotel. No offer for receipt jusy wanted to hold my keys to walk in to check in and would remember me. Threatened to towe my car while literally chased me in turning doors to enter. Front desk manager than said I couldn't complain because my name wasn't on the reservation. Then proceeded to say yes they needed my keys. Such an odd Ill hold your keys and remember you system to check into the hotel. This has got to be one of the best hiltons I have stayed at. I have stayed at Hilton's all over the world. The staff was very friendly and helpful upon check in. The hotel is very clean, everywhere you go. The gym is expansive! Weight machines, ample working and clean cardio machines with TV screens that work! Ample towels and they have chilled damp towels perfect for post work out. The only problem was that, there were no wipe's available. The containers were empty. My room was spacious and comfortable! The black out curtains were actually blacking out all the light. It was very dark in the room. The shower was awesome. Almost spa-like. The shower head was forceful. There are certain things I look for in a hotel room, clean, comfortable, nice shower, good TV. Pillows are always not my preference. So I bring my own. Lastly, I was missing a bar of soap for the bathroom sink. Annoying since I am only here one night, not worth calling down to front desk. I just used the body wash in the shower to wash my hands There is a chocolate Christmas display made entirely (or mostly) out of chocolate. The lounge on the 26 floor is open to members with status. Very comfortable and offers breakfast here. I am very impressed with this hotel and will come back next time. read more

I love this hotel! It's in a great central location downtown and is in walkable distance to many of the must-visit places in Houston such as: Discovery Green, Minute Maid Park, Convention Center, and a host of cool restaurants. We stayed here two nights for my bday weekend (the same weekend of Beyoncé's concert) and my family and I had a great experience! The valet staff is top tier and the staff was kind, professional and accommodating; our room was nice and comfortable with an excellent view. The restaurant on the property, 1600 Bar + Grille, was a good/convenient breakfast option for the family with menu and buffet options, and the Pappasito's inside was a fun place to end the night for dinner. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff, in an awesome location. We'll be back! read more

Hotel is nice. But my food experience was horrible. Day one I had breakfast in their lobby (full service) restaurant. I ordered the yogurt and pastry. It was $17. I received a $2 yoplait cup of yogurt and a 2" diameter danish. Later that evening after missing dinner because of meetings I ordered room service. It was a club sandwich with fries. The club sandwich had bacon only. What the heck? Did I complain? No. I just went to sleep. I ate at the airport the next day. Superior in every way to the Hilton's food. read more

Stayed here for a 2-day conference happening on site and had a good experience. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I have to remark on how much I enjoyed the shower, it had amazing water pressure! I got a chance to visit the gym and was impressed by the variety of cardio and weight equipment available to guests, it rivaled the breadth you'd find in a commercial gym. Main downer for me was no in-room food service options, which I assume is a holdover from Covid. I noticed even the vending machine down the hallway only had drinks, no snacks. Location is wonderful as you are right in the heart of Downtown and have immediate access to Discovery Green, multiple fabulous restaurants and even the Ball Park! Our room wasn't what you would expect for A Hilton. Stayed in Floor 6 and had easy access to the elevator but our room was muggy . It was clean but old. There's an indoor pool but nothing special to it. Even tho the hotel was super busy due to a conference Service at the bar and restaurant was PHENOMENAL and room service was super fast! read more

This is a great hotel in a really good location, especially if you are attending an event at the Toyota Center. The hotel was clean, not to mention HUGE! This place felt like a massive spot, and I can't imagine it at full capacity! Our room was comfortable. It had a mini fridge rather than a minibar, so we could store leftovers. I also liked how you could choose your room and check in and out without ever having to go to the front desk by using the Hilton app. I am sure other properties do this, but it was my first experience with it. There is a great Tex-Mex restaurant and a Starbucks in the hotel, as well as a hotel restaurant, which we did not try. The lobby bar is really beautiful, and I regret not grabbing a drink there. There is also a rooftop bar and other amenities that we didn't even get to see during our short stay. The self parking is a bit of a trek, but there is a skybridge from the garage into the hotel - and it is cheaper than valet! All in all, I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in downtown Houston for something, especially if it was an event at the Toyota Center! read more
