INCREDIBLE!!! Amazing hotel. We stayed on the drive back from Florida. From check in to breakfast to check out. Everyone was so delightful. Anissa and Tara did a good job keeping up with the huge crowd at breakfast. Anissa was very responsive when any food was out and so polite to all guests, not just me. Computers and printer available to guests in the lobby for whenever needed. Beds are SO COMFORTABLE; I had a better night of sleep than I did on vacation; shower and bathroom were super clean. First time staying in this Springhill Suites location. Very impressed. The property is a couple years old, but still has a just opened vibe. Really clean. Great room. But what really sells this place is their staff. Because of COVID, there are a lot of services that just aren't possible, but Jonica, who checked us in, came through every business service we needed on the road to pull off a critical project. The staff and officer were very nice and accommodating to me and my wife during a long road trip. We couldn't find a room to book anywhere on 95 SOUTH so they let us hang out in the lobby and bought pizza for my children. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Loved my overnight stY here. Very nice and clean property right off I95. Pretty decor and easy and quick check in. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Shower was nice and clean. Great water pressure and we were on the 4th floor. Breakfast was great and it was free and they had an assortment of choices . Free lollipops at front desk. The only negative would be is that the towels were not very soft. I will still stay here. read more

Just off of I-95, this is a fairly brand new hotel. Service was amazing. Rooms were clean, with lots of outlets for devices. The room had a small fridge and a microwave, and sitting area with a desk. Warning! Please be advised that this Springhill location doesn't live up to the Marriott name and standard. The stars reflected are misleading and recommend that you drive to the next available Springhill. The front desk and supervisors are rude and will lock to say no with terrible body language. It appears employees here don't want to be here or like there jobs. The front desk manager called my room after I called the bonvoy elit e member number to complain and he immediately start speaking with me like I was on the street at a corner liquor store. I simply requested a 2pm checkout due to my wife having a mandatory training that ended at 2pm. Understand that even as Platinum & Gold elite members late checkout isn't guaranteed, but upon checking in the night before I was told the late checkout would be no issue and confirm with from desk in the morning as they were sold out. I was told the reason I was denied a late checkout wasn't because of occupancy, but rather someone specifically booking my room for the day. The bonvoy elite customer service asked if I was given a non occupied room or access to the lobby and sadly the answer was no. To end this rant I will tell you that between the poor customer service the breakfeast was terrible. The bar had soggy boiled eggs, microwaved mini sausage biscuits in plastics bags, old oatmeal and uncovered waffle mix with Flys everywhere. Think about it. All occurred on 16 Jun 23.​ read more

I'm not sure why this hotel has so many good reviews but this hotel IS NOT CLEAN. Unfortunately, as soon as I arrived, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands to find out that the bath towels had stains. It was hair on the toilet seat. Can you say disgusting!!! Every hotel that has plastic on the remote control are suppose to change out the plastic and they fail to do so. The plastic looked like it never was change. I had to clean the room myself and I had to use the ice bag to put around the remote. Later that day my son went to lay down in my bed just to find something disgusting in the bed. It's COVID going around and yet the housekeeper fail to change the sheets on the bed. Please find another hotel else where. read more

You can't go wrong with Marriott period. Their locations, including this one, are always super clean and modern with those extra touches you just don't realize until you see them and say wow. As a previous reviewer stated this property is far nicer than it has to be, that's Marriott in a nutshell. You truly get your $s worth at any of their properties. We had a small suite with couch, desk, king bed and a huge bathroom. the desk breaks up the room so it seems more like 2 rooms, or some privacy at least. They think of everything when designing their properties. We didn't get up in time for breakfast which ended at 9am and was complimentary but coffee is always available throughout the day also complementary which is nice to be able to grab a cup whenever and get on your way. we're traveling home from Florida and this was our "halfway" layover. All the Marriott properties in Florence and Lumberton were booked full and this one only had a couple rooms left. only kings were available...oh darn! Slept like a baby. That's the other great thing about any Marriott, their mattresses and pillows are the most comfortable you'll find anywhere of any chain. having severe back issues I never have to worry about how the mattress is going to be. The staff at this property were top notch, very nice and extremely accommodating considering we needed parking for a truck pulling a travel trailer. read more

Stopped here on our drive home from Florida. Found it on a whim and super happy we did. The place is completely remodeled and beautiful! Clean, spacious, modern. People who work here are extremely helpful and courteous. This place far surpasses the Hilton we stayed at in Naples Florida and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to rest your head and feel good about where your staying. Arrived early but our suite was available. Starting from the front desk to the service personnel everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Followed Covid protocols with face masks and hand stations in convenient locations. It was a busy weekend but the motel is very quiet and our room was around the corner from the elevators. Only stay here if you have a back up plan!!! Your reservation means NOTHING!!! We made reservations booked well in advance while traveling from New Jersey to Florida. The first stay was fine nice room no issues. At checkout we even confirmed our upcoming reservation in addition I received an email the day before to remind me about my upcoming stay. The return trip not so pleasant!! After driving over 8 hours from Florida, we were exhausted and ready to grab a bite to eat and get some sleep only to find out they overbooked and my reservation was canceled!!! No phone call, no email, nothing!!! They apologized but that isn't giving me a nice place to stay for the night. This is unacceptable!!! New hotel opened in November 2015. GM has done great job training. Rooms clean and well set up. Family of four comfortable in room. Beds are great and rooms quiet. Easy on and off I 95. I am Platinum Premier and this is a top ten SHS brand. Pool is indoor and a little small but you can sort of swim laps. Breakfast well done with smart lay out. Easy to get coffee and flows well. The staff was nice. We slept here one night only. The beds were comfortable and rooms were decent. When we arrived, my daughter opened the door in our room, believing it to be a closet. It was the room next door, with a man sitting on the bed! We quickly bolted our side of the door so that the man wouldn't come in our room! I didn't like that the doors on the bathroom were opaque glass. If one guest was using the bathroom at night and the other was sleeping, the sleeping guest may wake from light coming from the bathroom through the glass doors. The hotel was very full when we stayed here. Although this wasn't the hotel's fault, there were many guests taking breakfast food along with them in plastic cups & bowls. (I agree that the breakfast wasn't the greatest.) read more

We needed a place to spend the night on our way from FL to VA and picked this hotel out of all the hotels from this area based on yelp reviews. It didn't disappoint. The room we got was clean and everything also looks brand new. The bed was comfortable. But I wish they had breakfast later because 6am-9am is too early and we didn't get to try it bec we woke up late (9-ish). :( There was some noises from the interstate but it wasn't as bad as it could be considering how close it is to the interstate. It didn't bother us while we slept but the noise is annoying when you are awake and can hear it. They have a decent selection of channels and even have huluplus and netflix on their smart tv. Too bad we where only there to sleep and didn't get to enjoy it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would probably come back if we head this way again and need a place to stay. read more

We stayed here in March of 2016. Traveling north from Florida to New Jersey, we thought the hotel was convenient in terms of its location (about the right amount of driving for one day) and its location off of I 95. Easy off and easy on next morning. The hotel was very clean and recently updated. Helpful staff, a good cafe and a good value. The only VERY MINOR issue was that because of its location close to I 95 (a good thing), our room which was in the front of the building had some highway noise. Given all of the other good things, this was not much of an issue for us. I would stay here again. read more

This is the second time we have stopped here on trips South. Excellent both times. It's clean, comfortable, and the breakfast is decent. (Breakfast selections are limited compared to other hotels' breakfast offerings; hence, four stars not five.) The staff is very friendly and helpful. Obviously, it's not a Ritz Carlton, but is great for its mission. *** I want to clarify that we were NOT unhappy with the breakfast, not at all. New hotel. Super attentive breakfast staff. The only thing I don't like about the last three stops at a Springhill as a family of four is these new bathrooms. It's one area so you have no door between the shower/toilet and sink mirror. With a teenage boy and a girl it's just more ideal for the privacy. This location though has white no see through shower curtains unlike other new ones with glass doors (that leak). This a just a minor observation and doesn't weigh in our decisions on where to stay. We do wish breakfast had hard boiled eggs like Hampton!!! read more

A new, beautiful building. Comfortable room, comfortable bed, and good breakfast (fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, waffles, croissants, muffins, English muffins, and more). Rooms were large. We could hear RT 95 from our room since we faced the highway. There was a security guard there all night. It didn't look like an unsafe area, so it was good though to have extra security in the parking lot. Rooms and lobby all look very modern. Nice people working here too! The only reason we're giving 4 starts instead of 5 is because the rate was a little more expensive than other hotels in the area. read more

The restaurant has a small but yummy restaurant. Most of the food was good but the mixed greens were old and rotting. Please fix this. The room To small for two working adults. One very small desk. Most people need desks to work!! The beds, 2 queens are very comfortable!! Very soft sheets and soft and firm pillows that are great. They spent millions on upgrading. Lots of gray which is a depressing color and a bad choice when you want people to be up beat, happy and high functioning. Water bottles would have been nice too. But the most important was the AC did not work when we got there. We were hot. Needed to shower for a conference and only had 1 1/2 hour to get ready. After hard and long travel we were not in the best mood. This was important. We were comped 2 drinks- wine or beer. We drink neither. Finally the ac was fixed and very cool when we got back to our room. The man who fixed it was great! All of the staff was friendly and helpful!!!!! read more

MARRIOTT REFUSES to make a policy exception for 19 year college student old traveling from Boston to Florida. Springhill Suites in Lumberton, NC actually turned the student away at 11 pm last night and back onto the road after driving 12 hours. The 21 year old requirement would NOT be lifted under these extenuating circumstances. A call to another Marriott in Dillon SC would also NOT allow this young student to stay on their property. As a Platinum Elite member, I will NEVER stay at another Marriott property. This will also extend to my company and any others businesses that want to join me. BTW - Hilton waived the requirement without issue. read more

We stopped here on the way from NJ to FL. Super easy booking directly through their website, I reserved at 4 pm and checked in at 8pm. The front desk was pleasant and accommodating. Our room was super clean and nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. We were concerned prior to arriving about security as we had a luggage carrier strapped to the roof of our car. The parking lot was very well lit through the whole night and we were lucky enough to get a parking spot right under our window. The continental breakfast was a nice addition, however the we stuck to bagels and yogurt as they seemed the most appetizing. We would certainly stay here again. read more

My husband and I stayed here on our way back from Florida and we were impressed. The location was great right off of the exit however, being so close to 95 it was a bit noisy. The room was spacious with 2 beds and a nice sitting area with a desk and sofa. The only complaint I have is the tv was in kind of a strange place so that you really could not watch tv in bed. There is a fitness center but we did not utilize it. There is a indoor pool and hot tub which was nice. There also is a little business center which we appreciated because we needed to print out a few things. The breakfast was nice consisting of eggs, fruits, oatmeal, sausage, waffles, etc. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. read more

I can't say enough about this hotel! They have the most friendly and attentive staff, along with beautiful accommodations. We had the worst experience with another hotel, down the road, which forced us to move to Springhill, because of less than substandard conditions. The front desk attendant greeted us with kindness and empathy and quickly found us a room, at 3:30am. We had originally booked with the Best Western, not realizing a Marriott was right around the corner. Needless to say, Best Western was awful and checked immediately into Springhill. It was like entering the comfort of your home. Compared the Best Western which felt uncomfortable, sketchy, smelled, etc. Marriotts staff was very, very friendly, hotel was very clean and organized, the rooms were a little on the smaller side, but it was everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable (pull out sofa couch, not so much) the bathroom was very "trendy" and they provide higher end travel size grooming products. There is an outback right around the corner, a Starbucks, Panera, etc. the neighborhood itself definitely seems sketchy and probably wouldn't wander. However, to end your night with food and start your morning with some tangible food, if you don't want their free breakfast, everything is right there to start your morning off prior to continuing your journey. I just recently became a Marriott rewards member and I can honestly say that I am now a true member because I will only book with Marriott because of my great experiences thus far! read more

My daughter and I broke our drive down the east coast here. The hotel is very clean, chic and convenient to the highway. Our car was packed to the gills with stuff, so my main concern was security. The parking lot is extremely well lit throughout and we had no problems. The check in was speedy, although there was only one girl at the desk and had we come in five minutes later, we'd have waited a while. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The decor is updated and tastefully modern. The TV was in a strange position, facing a partition between the living room and the bedroom. I suppose the theory is that you could turn the tv to face either space, but neither is ideal. We were not watching tv, so it was not a problem for us, but if you want to watch tv and there are two beds, you will not be able to see it from the farther bed. Breakfast was convenient and fine. Typical buffet for a hotel of this caliber. It was all sufficient. My only comment is that the eggs are "bulk made" and scrambled, so they originate in some form of powder or something that gives them a grainy texture. They did have some hard-boiled whole eggs, though, so I was happy with that. Breakfast begins at 6:30, which was great for those wanting to get an early start. I'd have loved to see it ready by 6! All in all, very nice place. I would definitely stay again. read more
