From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel welcome and were friendly, professional, and happy to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated having a separate sitting area, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything in the room was modern and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus, with a good variety of hot and cold options that made mornings easy before heading out. The hotel's location was also perfect--close to restaurants, shopping, and major highways, making it convenient to get wherever I needed to go. Overall, I was very impressed with my stay. The combination of excellent service, clean and comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made for a great experience. Was supposed to catch Dionne Warwick in Bridgeport on Saturday but she canceled at the last minute due to a medical issue (she's 82). So a night of dining in Milford and a night at this hotel. Quite roomy and surprisingly quiet considering it's right next to one of the most traveled highways in the Northeast (I-95). It served its purpose... nice staff. read more

This was a pretty good hotel I'm a say of they have good breakfast in the morning the service at the front counter was decent and they have two TVs in the room so that was good so I got to watch one TV and my daughters and wife can watch something they were on the other and also the couch and the bathroom was pretty good too so overall good hotel read more

I have stayed there several times before without any issues. I stayed there mid September 2024. The incidental charge was reversed, but a month later an incidental charge showed up on my credit card. It was a tedious process fonding the person responsible to correct the problem. Then thay wanted a screenshot of the credit card. You cannot screenshot bank transactions. It got corrected, but they didn't have the courtesy to notify me. Can't fathom how this was an accident one month after the stay. read more

Room with queen size bed is compact but not tight. Room was clean not overtly dirty when did sanitizing before getting comfortable. No "just right," happy medium setting with a/c, either freezing cold or one temp near 69 degrees and air system goes to heat/hot air. Elevator was out of order for most of stay during weekend, except day checked in. Long hallways to get to rooms from elevator. Since elevator out, used stairwell closest to Room at end of building. Staff at front desk was pleasant. This hotel is in line of motels/hotels on same road (Residence inn, Red Roof). Hotel conveniently located between neighboring CT towns for eating/shopping. read more

The place is just okay. For a quick business trip, it's fine. Nothing was major wrong, but also nothing stood out. The front desk staff was not very friendly or hospitable. Not rude or anything just didn't seem to enjoy their job or be happy to work there. The rooms were okay. I thought that they had a pool or at least a jacuzzi, but we were told that the area was being renovated or converted into something else. The front desk person was not very clear. Back in January, I had a situation where I had to be out of my house for a bit, so I spent a lot of time moving from hotel to hotel and staying with friends. I booked here after realizing I wasn't ready to stay at my place again and drove here around 9 pm and made a reservation using the SPG app while in the parking lot. I say all of this because I shared my entire story with a very sweet member of the front desk staff and she just let me talk; I think she knew I just needed someone to listen. I've stayed at many SpringHill Suites, and I like the set up of the rooms, I especially enjoy having the small kitchen setup, and I prefer the bathroom layout. The decor here is probably a bit dated and could use a slight color pallet adjustment, which would brighten up the room and make it look more modern. You can adjust the temp, and I was very comfortable setting it at 65 degrees. The room has no view, but the mattress and bedding is great and I didn't hear a thing from any neighbors or people passing in the hallway. I was only here until 7 am the next morning and check out was simple and easy. There is free and ample parking and is directly located next to another SPG hotel, the Residence Inn as well as the Red Roof Inn. I didn't know Milford needed so many hotels in one area. read more

It was okay, the pool was nice but the hot tub had a weird smell. The room was large but definitely could have been cleaned better and the hand washing sink had no hot water. However the staff is impeccable, very friendly and accommodating, I would return because of them. read more

Not too thrilled with the cleanliness of the bathroom, which is VERY important to me. It looks as though they renovated the rooms recently. The carpets look fresh and new and the decor is up to date, but it looks as though they completely left the bathrooms out of the renovations. I was happy with every other aspect of our room and stay, but the bathrooms really need to be fixed up. At the very least, they need a GOOD cleaning! I found mold in the toilets and bathtubs. I didn't feel comfortable giving my children a bath in the tub. read more

As a loyal marriott member I travel a lot and prefer this brand. Needed to stop quick on a work trip, and this place was in a good location. When arriving 6/7pm weekday- I was greeted by a lovely representative and assisted by another- these gals were friendly and helpful. Hotel room was clean- simple quiet. Hotel towels were SUPER WHITE!!! SUPER CLEAN!!! They looked almost new and fresh. Big plus there. I believe this hotel has both an indoor whirlpool and pool- I did not use. Laundry available on site 1st floor. Fitness center also available I did not use. They had a bar open with simple eats during the evening till 11pm great for a quick bit. The market was quite stocked with lots of options. Breakfast had lots of choices available. I did take off a star bc there was a creepy crawler roaming around and I just don't do bugs!!! read more

Pros: The hotel is very new, nice building. Mattresses are very comfortable. Ken, who checked us in, was very gracious and professional. Complimentary breakfast. Cons: I-95 was right outside our bedroom window, trucks going by all night long (tip: ask for a room on the rear side of the building). There is only one elevator, and it's very slow. Meanwhile, the exit stairs are down at either end of the long room corridors. So, it's a long wait for the elevator, a real bottleneck. Saw a silverfish in the bathroom. The bathroom sink is comically small. The sink area is outside the shower/toilet, which is fine, except that both are situated right next to the beds, so if someone is up early and shaving, for example, it's hard to not disturb other people still sleeping. The breakfast menu seems to feature scrambled eggs and sausage patties every day; how about some bacon, people? There are bagels, but no toaster; say what? read more

My family and I booked a suite for 2 nights, and the first unpleasant thing was when we opened the room, the musty smell, when we opened the sofa bed it was full of food remains, even a hair tie, the towels were never changed They didn't even come in to take away the garbage during the time we were there. The only good thing was the front desk, they were always friendly. If you ask me if I go back there my answer is NO. read more

2 stars for location, close to beaches. Came with two children who were looking forward to the pool only to find out they closed their's to open a conference room which doesn't make sense to me. Guests enjoy the pool more esp with children. We stuck it out got settled in and 30 mins maybe an hr into our stay our kids found a dirty pair of boxers under the ac unit! Had they not been being kids and playing around we probably would have never noticed! That is beyond me since we couldn't check in early due to our room being "cleaned". I requested a refund and went somewhere else. My blanket on the bed was dirty with makeup as well. Housekeeping needs to be revamped as well as the establishment. This is an ok hotel. I would suggest it for a woman traveling on business alone. The location is great for restaurants, etc. but most guests are construction workers and contractors (no offense). The bar opened tonight so that's an advantage. The 'suite' room is a stretch. It's smaller than most Courtyard standard rooms, so don't be fooled by this. Overall, it's an 'ok' place to stay but I won't be back. read more

Comfortable stay, however in need of updated decor (especially wallpaper and carpets which seemed a bit run down not only in my room but in some public areas). Room was clean, with comfortable beds, and a nice sized sitting area with desk and kitchenette. The gym equipment is kinda sad, they need new machines (2 treadmills and an outdated precor climber). I've stayed here before (for work) and will stay again (not luxurious but comfortable),.. The neighboring motel with the (ahem) red roof is totally gross. We had an overnight stay at this hotel for my brothers wedding. It is located right off Rt95 which makes it very easy to get to other places if needed. The room was a average size and was very clean. The two bad things we didn't like are the walls between the rooms are not much letting you hear everything in the adjoining room. Also the breakfast buffet could be held a little later than 9:00a.m. With some bacon included along with the sausage patties. The staff was very accommodating in our request to take pictures of our family and also about directing us to the wedding venue. read more

The rooms are clean, showers work great, and you can stream your own Netflix, Hulu, etc. upgraded technology is important. WiFi is reliable and consistent. Currently in this hotel and cant sleep because of the HORRIBLE noise from 95! We originally booked Residence Inn which is next door while here for our son's graduation from Yale. Residence Inn called and asked us to switch to this hotel due to overbooking. HUGE MISTAKE! During check in my husband specifically asked for a room in the other side of the hotel. The blonde female manager assured us we would not be on the 95 side...well, here we are, right beside 95! I am also listening to my neighbors conversation because of the poorly insulated walls. Also, the room stinks...literally! Lastly, the bartender is rude. We have 1 more night here...UGH! STAY ELSEWHERE!! I certainly wish I was! One last thing...my daughter is sleeping on the sofa. Went to make up her bed and the sheets and blanket in the plastic bag have hair all over them. Just awesome... read more

The Spring Hill Suites by Marriott in Milford is a nice tourist-class hotel close, but not located in, New Haven. This all-suite hotel is currently being remodeled, but it has free hot breakfast, an indoor pool and hot tub, and an on premises bar. They are right off Interstate 95 near Bic Avenue and Sub Way - yes, those are intentional names. My room was clean and spacious, although the bathroom was a little cramped due to a weird wall angle. Having the wet bar was nice for keeping snacks and drinks. They have a decent amount of cable stations and wifi for streaming. The hot tub was nice for a soak, even if the pool was overrun with teenage lacrosse players. The remodel looks great and will bring the hotel to the modern standards being deployed by Marriott. Staff and location are great, and the value is very good. Nothing fancy here, but they are a solid choice in the area. read more

My experience was a positive one.Given how close the hotel is to the highway ,it's suprisingly quiet.There is a refigerator and microwave.Breakfast is included.It's comfortable and clean with one quasi exception- the bathrooms could use a little sprucing up and the drain was almost clogged in the shower.One corner of the room could really use a light .There are no overheard lights.I would stay here again.By the way access to New Haven is a snap.Don't go on 95 .Download WAZE and backroad it. read more

This was the first hotel stop on our trip. Spring Hill Suites is pretty standard across their properties. Our room was clean and ready right away. It is super frustrating when a reservation is not ready by check in time m so that was good. The sink was outside of the shower/bathroom so it was nice. All of us were able to sleep well. In the morning, the complimentary breakfast area was pretty full, and tables were not wiped off consistently. There was hot food along with cereal/muffins/toast/fruit. The hot food was not that great. The Sausage was ok but the eggs were flavorless and chewy. Good for sleeping, not the greatest for breakfasting. read more

I stopped at this SpringHill on a trip to Newport since it got too late and my eyelids too heavy to make it to the Courtyard I normally stay at. A quick call to Marriott Reservations and they shifted my stay to here. The good points, the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, fairly new and decently sized and the hotel was right off of the exit from I-95. The bad, it was right off the highway and not well sound insulated, the walls to the next room were not well sound insulated, the kitchenette was very small and the bathroom light fixture/bulb was undersized leaving it dim. In conclusion it is a good place if you need somewhere to crash right off the highway. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if the need arose. However, in comparison to other SpringHill Suites I've definitely stayed at nicer ones, including ones close to major highways. read more

Not a bad place but disappointed in my experience recently. There was a visible tear in my bed sheet, one that should have qualified it to be thrown out. The floor wasn't vacuumed properly and I was standing in water during my entire shower because the drain was clogged. While the lady at the front desk apologized and indicated that she would take care of it immediately, I was still disappointed that they didn't offer to do something more given this experience. If you choose to stay here and if you are a light sleeper, make sure you request a room away from the road because the highway road noise might keep you awake. read more

Do NOT stay here. This appears to be a decent basic hotel but it is not. Our room was not cleaned and the bathroom needs major updating. We did not check in early either. We needed to be moved to another room. The breakfast is free but not worth it. The breakfast area is too small for the number of guests this hotel hosts, it is never cleaned and they run out of food quickly. They had a lot of hockey teams when we were here too. They have rules for the hockey families that are not enforced. The public areas are completely full of hockey team gatherings for dinner, drinks, you name it. Adding more to the dirt and grime all around this hotel. The teams did not clean up after themselves nor did the hotel clean up after them. The elevator was also constantly broken. Luckily we did not need it but if you do, you will be out of luck. While this place is not overly expensive we paid $120 a night. This hotel should be $80 a night, at most. I did not say anything about the location because it is both convenient, right off 1-95 but also right off 1-95. We are from Manhattan, it did not bother us but if the noise will bother you, be sure to ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. Do yourself a favor, stay someplace else, we are Marriott Gold Elite guests and this is how we were treated, I can only imagine how non-gold guests are treated. read more
