We stayed here 3 nights. Pros: The view of the ocean was amazing. The rooms were clean and towels were refreshed daily for us. We had a few drinks and the bistro lunch/dinner was pretty good. The pool was perfect and it was nice having access to the other pools and waterslides for the kids. We were within walking distance to many restaurants and were able to walk down the boardwalk area to shops or other restaurants. One of the families with us did have an elevator mishap on day 1, but staff was alerted and promptly closed the elevator until it could be repaired and reopened. Cons: the circle in front of the elevator got pretty hectic when we went to leave. There was a staff member directing people and he helped load our stuff (so bring tip money because he certainly earned it!) but the other guests were just being dumb. The hotel advertises that there is EV charging, and there is. But it's 70 cents per kWh when the supercharger down the street is like 40 cents per kWh. They need a better system for buying snacks. When you wanted to pay for snacks you had to stand in the guest services line which often had people checking in or out. They tried to double charge us for parking. It was listed each day as "self parking" and also "garage parking", each with their own charge. Had I not actually looked at our bill at checkout, that's $60 extra we would have paid for nothing. read more

We found ourselves in need of an unexpected overnight in Myrtle after our flight was cancelled. Springhill suites was a great choice. The hotel is ocean front and the views are amazing. Literally amazing balcony views. There is a complimentary breakfast on the second floor for Springhill guests. There is a 24 hour fitness center too. This resort is right on the beach but they do have several pools. They share pools with the breakers resorts. So there is a lazy river multiple hot tubs. Out door pools and indoor pool options. There are towels for the pool but not for the beach so plan accordingly. There are several dining options within a 2 min walk. We ended up across the street at a uis ale cocktail bar restaurant and finished the night at Ben and Jerry's. Lots to do and more than zero could get to in one day. read more

$20 per day parking which sucks due the price of the room ($1k for 3 nights). Feels a bit petty. The location was amazing / on the beach. The pool and lazy river were very cool. The room was beautiful with a view of the beach. The breakfast was tasty. The staff at breakfast just stand watching you as you get food. Maybe they are waiting to clean or replace food but a bit creepy with them (3-4 people) just staring at you while you get food. Get a rag and wipe a table to look busy. They were nice just creepy. Side note parking is $20 a day that they don't tell you about until you check in. And if you have a Large Truck or SUV, parking might be a problem, because the spaces are tight and only designed for Sedans or Small SUVs. That's the only negative I had about staying here. read more

If you're used to the Marriott experience, this ain't it. Anywhere else and I'd maybe give it four stars. This building is nearly brand new, so there is no excuse for the bathroom to look like it does in the image I am posting. And I've been to much nicer Marriott's that were older, thus the drop in rating. We also started off on a bad foot, when we arrived and staff acted as though we hadn't had this booked for a year and spoken with someone ahead of time to ensure our families rooms were close together. Before speaking with management, they tried to tell us it was impossible to even be on the same floor because they were fully booked. While they did ultimately put us on the same floor, it took a lot of arguing before they accommodated us. The amenities are nice, and guests are free to use the pool areas of the establishments on both sides of the hotel. The breakfast is free and standard SpringHill: waffles, oatmeal, eggs, muffins, gravy biscuits, coffee and juices. The staff is nice aside from the initial experience, but I probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was a great deal. read more

We are extremely happy with the hotel, our room, the staff, the view, etc. Check-in went smoothly. The hotel was clean and newly renovated. I like that it is on the beach and we have a beach view. I enjoyed hanging out at the bar, lobby and outside around the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again if I was to travel back to the area. read more

Great hotel on the beach. Our ocean front room with the balcony was very nice although the layout was a little different. The bathroom was directly across from our bed. Rooms were cleaned daily. The biggest issue we had was the parking was down and across the busy street. Not convenient at all. Pools were great however I don't really think the heated pool was heated. read more

This place was awesome and great with outdoor pool and lazy river. Indoor pool with connected lazy river along with two indoor Jacuzzis and the waterslide. Absolutely heavenly. We found a great deal on Booking.com for oceanfront with parking, a complimentary breakfast and late checkout. The entire staff from the front desk to the breakfast nook were delightful. Starbucks available in the lobby, fitness center and free WiFi. Pros - nice front desk staff and the place looks clean. Ocean front. Gorgeous view Rooms have refrigerator coffee maker and lots of room! Closets with hangers, microwave, good size bathroom, lots of light! Cons, and if you used to staying in nicer hotels or you remember Marriott Bon Voy in the past you'll understand, otherwise scroll on. no luggage person bellhop or even anyone to open the door for you when you come in. Cars are stacked up in the driveway and people trying to push their own luggage , it's going everywhere old people handicapped trying to manage their own luggage. Waiting in line at the front desk no greeting and "I'll be with you in a moment" No help up to the room with luggage. Patio of room coated with in a very sticky substance like Coca-Cola or candy and it got all over our feet and shoes. Hotel website advertise an EV charger at this hotel which is why we booked here yet it is a pay EV charger and it is not working. We had two women alone at night in a garage trying to make it work. At least it wasn't just one woman me. Had to drive to the mall in the morning instead of going to breakfast with my friends to charge the car. Was told by staff at "looks like it's charging cars over there"Tried it again midmorning still doesn't work. It's charging a different type of electric vehicle on the other side not Tesla. Oh well. Only Starbucks available in a hotel lobby have to travel to get a good coffee. Pool looks cute but tons of kids just a heads up if you're here as an adult with other adults. Again everyone here is really nice and pleasant )just maybe not all trained for a higher end hotel which is what the price reflects) and Marriott seems to be skimping out once again to save money read more

We did a lot of research before choosing this hotel. We are somewhat picky since we had some bad experiences that ruined vacations. Our goal was to have an oceanfront view, on the beach for an affordable cost. We took this vacation to watch our daughter play college softball in Myrtle Beach. A lot of the other hotels on the strand were negatively reviewed because they were in need of an update. This hotel is new and that was attractive to us. Check-in was smooth. The lobby was very nice. You could see the beach immediately. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and though the parking was across the street and cost $20/night, we were already happy with the hotel price so the $20 for parking in a busy area didn't bother us. It was directly across the street. No big whoop. We fell in love with the room. My wife asked me for beachfront/balcony/nice room to hang out in. We got it and more. The room was even better than I had hoped. Spacious. A desk for me to do my thing. Space for our suitcases. And a nice balcony, DIRECTLY facing the ocean. I assumed we'd be on the side with a partial view. Nope. Beautiful ocean view. The room had a giant TV on the wall and a small fridge/microwave/counter. Perfect for our needs. The bathroom was, ilke most Springhill Suites, in an odd place, directly facing the bed, but that was a minor detail that didn't matter to us. But from wherever we stood in the room, we could see the ocean. We were very comfortable and honestly, this made our vacation 2x better since the weather was cold and we spent most of our nights, after supper, hanging out in the room. There were 2 service opportunities, both of which they knocked out of the park. 1. Our shower drain became blocked. I went to the front desk and they called housekeeping in front of me and it was fixed within 10 minutes. 2. My wife wanted to play xbox and the tv on the wall, though it had an HDMI slot, did not allow us to change source to the xbox. She went to the front desk and later that night, they brought up a TV and set it up for her to play xbox all week. She was in heaven. Me, working at the desk, looking up at the ocean every few minutes was heavenly as well. The cost was less than $200/night when we booked. We are already talking about going back next year if our daughter goes back to play softball there again. read more

The hotel is beautifully decorated and on the beach. I had to call multiple times to get my questions answered and ultimately we opted out of staying here due to 1) inattentive front desk - couldn't be bothered to greet us, be friendly, or give me the time of a day after a dining mishap 2) we were told there were gluten free options in their bistro. There was only one other party when we arrived. The bartender was beyond friendly and deserves a raise. When I inquired about gluten free buns she said they could accommodate with bagels or buns. I said that was fine. She came back to say they were frozen and the cook refused to defrost or warm them. I never heard such a thing. She was very embarrassed and upset for us and in the end She ended up going into the kitchen herself to cook up the bagels for our sandwiches. Maybe we ticked off the cook because, besides the buns, our food came out inedible. I am talking chicken that could not be cut or bitten into. I had to start tearing into it with my fingers and it was so dry and stringy. We ended up leaving in search of a different restaurant 3) no one explained to us that the parking garage is ACROSS the street. It took me over ten minutes to get someone on the phone circling around to find this out. This in my opinion was VERY unsafe. We had someone following us at one point and there is only one way in the garage, the one side stair exit does not open from the ground floor. When we were coming back to our car (and imagining hauling all our bags from the third floor of this structure all the way to the hotel) we were followed again this time by someone in a car and observed by a second person who turned around to watch us walk into the garage. We felt extremely unsafe. We said there was no way we could stay at this hotel given the circumstances. read more

The Tv was not working at the room, I called them and asked to fix it. They told me that they will send a technician to fix it but no one showed up. When I asked morning time they said they are sorry and they can send someone now. I told them that I'm checking out and I don't need it all what they offer is to take the parking fees out. They charged me big money for a very bad service. I don't recommend the hotel. High cost for bad service. read more

The only reason I am giving three stars is because the room was clean and had a great view of the beach and the front desk was friendly. I would go e 1 star because the pool area was disgusting. There was a constant oily film floating on top of the pool the entire time we were there. I'm not sure the pool gets cleaned. Also anybody can walk off of the public beach and into the pool area making it difficult for guests to find a seat by the pool. Like most hotels Springhill should require a key card to get into the pool area. read more
