    Dirty floor

Terrible. This hotel was dirty and disgusting to stay at. My bed had a huge dent in it which made it hard to sleep. There was food and crumbs and dirt on floor when I came in. My lights were broken and there was smudges on walls and mirrors. My room door was uncooked when I first arrived and lock didn't work. DO NOT COME HERE!!! It's cheap for a reason

Unfortunately this place did not meet expectations from a cleanliness standpoint or just from a staffing standpoint. I have never stayed at this hotel before but frequently stay in this area. Unfortunately the room had some really bad stains on the floor, a ton of mold in the bathroom, a giant patched hole in the ceiling in the bathroom that's never been painted, etc. Just a really bad showing in addition to some very non-customer focused employees.

We stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Our room was disgusting. There were stains EVERYWHERE, the carpet, the furniture, ew. There was dirt on the bathroom floor and the fridge didn't work. There was no remote for the television and when we called the front desk we were told they didn't have any extras. I went to the exercise room and the TV on the treadmill didn't work. I turned on the TV on the wall and that didn't work either! oh and the dresser was broken !! There are so many other hotels in this area, you really need to up your game!

This hotel was a last minute quick find. I booked a suite with two queen beds. Check in was super fast. The room was clean and cozy when we arrived. We needed more towels which we were promptly given to us. Also, the AC was on full blast upon arriving. It was nice because it was super hot outside. There was an indoor pool and hot tub. They supply towels specifically for the pool. The room is muggy and smells highly of chemicals. The smell is obviously from chlorine but it was strong and one of my travel pals got a bloody nose from it. The rest of us got stuffy noses and headaches from the smell. The next morning we checked out the breakfast station and it consisted of basic items like cereal, toast, muffins, eggs, sausage, yogurt, and juices. Strangely they leave the butter and cream cheese out, not in a bowl with ice like I've seen other hotels do so the cream cheese was warm and undesirable to put on my bagel. Also, part of the bagel was hard before I even toasted it because they let the breads sit out uncovered. The best part of the breakfast was the cinnamon muffins. Overall this hotel was fine. It is near a lot of stores and restaurants. The highway is just a short drive away as well.

    Dirty pillow cases

Terrible and rude staff at the front desk this time around but last time was okay. Girl at front working on 10/16/22 at about 7:45pm said they had no extra pillows or pillow cases, really?! I simply wanted extra because the ones ones that were on the pillows were paper thin and didn't look clean but this girl with a sloppy unprofessional appearance who's name I won't post but management should be able to figure out made me feel like I was being ridiculous for thinking this was gross. How dare I want to feel clean and comfortable in a room that I'm paying for. Was never given pillows or cases

dresser drawer broke w/i 10 min of arriving in room and was not fixed during our stay

If you are a member of Marriott rewards and stay at Marriotts frequently, you will be sorely disappointed with this location. The front desk service is lacking, customer service is nonexistent, the pool area was dirty, the pool itself was so cloudy that you could not see the stair entering the pool, there were no pool towels. I had to go to the front desk to get pool towels. The furniture in our room broke and was not fixed during our stay. The TV did work correctly and we were informed that there was nothing that could be done. When our room did not get cleaned, I called to ask why and was told, because you did not request it. I asked that clean towels be provided and was told I could come to the front desk if I wanted clean towels. While we were there the girls Villanova college was staying at the hotel and instead of being properly staffed to handle the volume of customers, the front desk was staffed with 1 experienced staff member and a new hire who was being trained. The hotel manager should have properly staffed the hotel when this type of volume is expected and not use short staff and use this as a training event.

Located steps from the University of Scranton on the main drag of Mulberry Street, The Colonnade's meeting/reception rooms are beautiful as is the suite I stayed in for two nights. The original structure was built in the 1870's and it looks like much was done to preserve as much of the original woodwork, fireplaces and tile work as possible. High ceilings, curved walls, beautiful chandeliers...Joshua and Paul have returned the property to its former grandeur, yet have decorated the space with whimsy. In the Music Room, featuring an antique grand piano that came with the property, the blue walls are covered with lots of fun art work. My suite featured a separate sitting room, beautifully tiled bathroom and a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed with soft, luxurious bedding. Flat screen TV, free wifi and continental breakfast also come with the room. Several family members in town have attended functions from private baby showers to special holiday brunches at the Colonnade and report that the food and festivities were wonderful. There is parking in the back, and be forewarned - the property is off busy Mulberry Street - so for those not used to city noise should be prepared. It can be noisy in the early morning. So, while I have family I can stay with next time I'm in town, I will probably opt for staying at the Colonnade again.

This was by far the worst experience I ever had. When I…read morechecked in, everything was fine, until we got into the room. As soon as I opened the door it smelled like mold and mothballs Which is not a big deal, I kinda expected from an old hotel/repurposed train station. However what I didn't expect were the carpet floors being slight wet/moist and finding toe nail clippings. That made the whole situation feel worse. On top of that when we first arrived on Saturday night There was an open water bottle sitting at the corner of the black bench on the fifth floor where we stayed.. when we left on Monday late morning 11am, the water bottle was still there. I had to take a picture of that before leaving because it just proved to me how the cleaning crew and staff management manage their cleanliness in the building. When I first arrived with 40 min of getting situated, I had security knocking on my door checking to see if we had kids and if they were alone. Apparently there was a noise complaint saying they only heard kids and no parents and were concerned. That felt very odd to me. I informed the front desk how I felt and if I could just leave that same day and not stay over night, the lady said she will still charge for the room regardless of my experience. I DID NOT want a refund for 1 day , I just simply wanted to cancel my over night stay and not get charged for the 2nd day. The front reception lady was rude and didn't seem to care. I kindly ask to speak a manager or any supervisory on duty to see if there's a way I could just simply leave and not pay to stay the night if I left the same day in the early afternoon so they can resell the room and make their profit. The front desk lady rudely said no they don't have any manager and said I can leave a voicemail. I am disappointed because I traveled from out of state to stay in this hotel because of all the fun cool haunted stories. I didn't care that the room smelled like moth balls or mold. I just didn't enjoy walking on wett moist carpet and old toe nail clippings. The first room and the lack of empathy from the staff member. This could have been easily resolved with any supervisor or manager. But the lack of care resulted in me putting my real genuine experience.
