Nice group of hotels in an area that's a short five minute drive to Magic Mountain. There's three hotels brand here (Springhill, Residence, and Holiday Inn) that share a common lot and parking so it appears they're operated by the same franchisee. The hotel is new with lot of high end West Elm furniture. Lobby area is spacious and has bar but no on premise restaurant with plenty of chairs and dining tables (for their free breakfast). But, the staff here allow you to bring outside food and use their dining area. Marriot does try and promote the use of their app with a digital card key and app check-in but it wasn't working for me when I got there. Not a deal breaker as the staff here were friendly. The rooms are spacious with a living area and bedroom area separated by a tall desk stand. Mini fridge, microwaves, and coffee makers are standard, and the in-room A/C worked well (if you open the window, the A/C will shutoff). The bathroom vanity area was a bit cramped and the faucet had low water pressure. Our sink was clogged but a call to the front desk and few minutes later, they sent someone to fix it. Our room wasn't cleaned even though we didn't hang our "do not disturb" sign and after the cleaning person told us our room would be cleaned later in the afternoon. We ended up settling to just have them take out our garbage and give us fresh towels. There are some on premise entertainment including a pool and an outdoor fire place. Their game room has a ping pong and foosball table (you have to leave your ID in exchange for the ping pong paddle and foosball) but the game rooms A/C didn't work and after 30 minutes, it just got too hot.

Jaonn and Grace were both helpful during check in and made the process at ease. I have been traveling during the pandemic as an essential worker and since the reopening of the economy, I have witnessed hospitality workers specifically in the hotel industry verbally abused during my check in experiences. I want to specifically address these two workers for handling such an incident with professionalism, as well as all hospitality workers! Clean property, convenient location (especially across from Six Flags), and affordable prices; $172 a night before taxes mid weekday.

I stayed here for a visit with my daughter while we enjoyed sequential visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. It was nice to stay at a hotel close to the amusement park and not have to drive all the way back home since we were visiting the park multiple days. Now admittedly, I had a difficult time writing this review because there were really positive qualities along with some rather annoying attributes during my visit here. First let me start with the positive qualities. Upon entry at this hotel, one will immediately notice how well decorated it is here throughout the premises, especially in the hotel lobby and the dining area. In addition, careful attention to detail has also been made in the hallways and other guest areas. The hotel is also very clean throughout, so kudos to the cleaning staff! For their guests, this hotel provides almost everything you can imagine that you would want, and then more. All the staff members I interacted with while we were here were friendly and professional, from my initial check-in to my final checkout. Most importantly, this hotel met all of my primary requirements for staying at any hotel, including safety, cleanliness and quietness. And, the best part of my visit here was that we were able to stay here entirely for free because I'm a frequent guest/customer at Marriott hotels. I love free stuff! As mentioned earlier, unfortunately, there were also some annoying attributes I experienced during my stay here. First of all, it took me way too long just to figure out how to turn on the television and some of the lights in my room because part of the power in each room requires that you insert your room key in a special slot near the room entry that permits power. When someone has just checked into their room and they're tired, they really don't want to have to figure out these annoying things. Second, there was a small portion of the carpet that prevented the bathroom door in our room from properly closing because of a poor installation, and this carpet eventually ripped just so we were able to close the bathroom door. Third, there was a light fixture that was broken in our room, and it would have been nice to have light in that one part of our room. Fourth, I found the hotel room layout to be rather awkward with the placement of the office/work area, which is placed in an attempt to separate the "bedroom" area from the "living room" area. Finally, fifth, it was also rather annoying to find a small trail of ants in our hotel room, apparently looking for water in the bathroom because of the excessive summer heat outside. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential, and all the pictures I've posted will only show how nice it is here. However, there were also just too many annoying aspects I experienced while we were here that caused me to diminish what would have been a stellar rating for this business.

Stayed here twice for one night each time, as a launching point to making the dreaded I-5 drive north. It's ok but would like to try some place else next point. Pros: - First floor rooms. After a week, I get tired of needling to take the hotel elevator. - Breakfast has options. There's cold brew, oat milk, granola bar, things that sound good but I didn't try. - New ish. Still smells good. - Convenient location near freeway. Cons: - In room AC is freezing and super loud. It's super cold in the bed next to the unit but ok temp far across the room. - Bathroom is located right in the middle of the room, so it's really difficult to not disturb the other half of the room's occupants who sleep early or sleep in. - Too much light in the room from the window and bathroom nightlight at night. - Shower spits water everywhere. - Small refrigerator was not cool at all. Other: - Small ish underground parking. - Luggage cart hard to find.

The hotel appeared to be less than half occupied, yet we were first placed in a room directly behind the elevator. We have a child who is very sensitive to noise, so we asked to be moved to a quieter room. Instead, we were moved to a room facing the main avenue, where an ambulance immediately went by and scared our child. When we went back to the front desk, the only other option offered was an accessible room. Unfortunately, that room was not acceptable. The toilet was visibly stained, the towels were incomplete, the AC was noisy and did not cool the room, there were spider webs in the ceiling corners, the curtain was hanging off and letting light in, and the bed and bedding were extremely uncomfortable. It is 3:36 a.m. and I am fully awake. If I were not traveling with kids, I would have left. This felt far below Hyatt standards and not at all like the experience I expected from the "World of Hyatt". A budget motel may have offered the same comfort and cleanliness level for half the price.

We were staying for one night, and our room was in the corner on the first floor--comfortable, quiet and exactly what we needed. Upon check in, the front desk also provided us with bottled water and a snack (mix of chocolate, trail mix, etc.) Breakfast was delicious but we woke up late and got there with 20 minutes to spare, so we were able to get omelettes, milk, and whatever else we needed. They are pretty quick to close things up so be sure to get there in time!

When staying at a hotel, one of the things that bother me most is extreme outside noise. A couple…read moresources of it were extremely thin walls & road noise. Thin walls: I read previous reviews where it was mentioned, "it sounded like kids doing cannon balls", etc. So I made sure to book the top (4th) floor for my 5-night stay. Oh my, without even having anyone above, it sure sounded like! I couldn't believe guests walking in neighboring rooms could sound so loud from mine (and sound like they were coming from above, which wasn't possible). Additionally, I lost lots of sleep as I could clearly hear my neighbors conversations each night, past midnight. They were speaking at a normal level too! Road Noise: To add on to picking a room location with no upstairs neighbors, I assumed the more quiet side of the building would face Newhall Ranch Rd. rather than I5. Well, that road was extremely loud too... I'd hate to hear what it would be like facing I5! TIP for parking: I read a review that they were charged even for street parking. That is that reviewers fault. During my 5-nights, I parked on the street (culdesac) nightly, saving the $15/night. You only pay for parking if you accept their parking pass! I couldn't believe how it seemed just myself and 1 or 2 others parked on the street (it's safe). It's not like the hotel parking is gated and it is footsteps from the street parking. Heck, street parking is can actually be closer to the entrance than most of the hotel parking! Laundry: Dryer #2 is a money sucker! Fortunately the contractor who operates the machine is responsive & reimbursed me quickly. But it was a major inconvenience as I was prepping to pack and having to wait for the 2nd of 2 dryers in the room to become available. It took 3 attempts to dry 1 load. Staff should take the machine "Out of Order" until the contractor fixes it! Appearance: from the outside & all aspects of the interior until you get in the elevator, this hotel looks pretty nice. But once those elevator doors open to your floor, you're in a different world. The hallways were so dark & gloomy and I often thought how it looked like a haunted hotel. Fortunately I didn't notice any odd odors in the stretch of hallway to my room but when I ventured through other areas, there were some real pungent odors. This hotel is in need of a makeover, especially beyond those elevator doors!!!

Our rooms were very clean, quiet and adequately stocked. The beds, pillows, and linens were all so fresh and clean. I had asked for a very quiet room and that's what I got. The pool is also clean and well-maintained. Parking can be a challenge, slightly narrow stalls, but that's common in California. The grounds are well maintained and manicured (I have never seen any garbage/butts laying around outside). Even the hallways/elevators are clear of garbage and debris in this busy place. I cannot say enough for the incredibly friendly, professional, and kind team members! I could give names here, but I don't know everybody that I met that works here. From the maintenance man to the night auditors, the room cleaners to the kitchen staff...absolutely stellar! This year the price for the laundry went up to four dollars per wash or dry. That was the only bummer. But even the laundry room is clean and well maintained, 30 mins each and taadaa! I feel like I'm coming home at this place. Highly recommended. The location is ideal, close to many restaurants, a small Walmart, etc. The breakfast is good, basic, hot, served in a very clean eating area. There is refreshing iced water in the lobby with excellent coffee. Every time we've stayed here. (I read another review about the breakfast tasting "like crap" and not having soap bars under the pillows and something about Young kids talking to the ... what a bizarre and irrelevant review!) Very wheelchair accessible. Good - dog friendly . If the team and manager read this, once again, great big huge thank you!!!

Just a couple mns later I received a message in my email from the hotel saying they were able to accommodate my request. I really loved getting a message ahead of time. Easy check in. They have a store, swimming pool, hot tub, breakfast 7-10am, basketball courts, laundry room and more! The only thing we were a little iffy about was the person wandering in circles around the building with no shoes and yelling. He was going straight through the front desk area across to the other side of the building, out the back door and around the building again. While we were outside, he went around 4 times and then we went to our room. I know theres probably not too much they can do about that, but it made us worry about our car a little. We really enjoyed all of the small things that were accessible in the room. They had all the utensils you need to eat and cook with, pots, pans, cutting board, bowls, plates, cups, toaster....everything. They also already have dishsoap and sponge in the kitchen. They also have Netflix on our TV which we really enjoyed. Overall, even though we havent left yet, we're extremely enjoying our stay and its been a great last HOORAH, coming back from our disneyland trip. We would definitely come back to stay again.
