Stayed here for six nights in November on a business and leisure trip. Enjoyed the electrical control of the sheer window blind! Odd numbered rooms face north and have some traffic noise from the freeway. Even numbered rooms face south and are likely warmer in summer. I used the tray as a mouse pad because my optical mouse did not work well on the white desk. Park in front of the hotel to keep the car warmer in winter. Or park behind, north of, the hotel in a shaded parking area. Without sun, your vehicle may have more frost and ice. The guest laundry worked well but had only one washing machine. For the laundry machines, put two quarters in each slot. read more

I had not stayed at a Springhill Suites before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was on business, and usually stay at a Marriott property, as I am an elite member. My preference when staying in suburban areas is to find a Residence Inn as they feel homey and clean ... and avoid Courtyard by Marriott as they don't offer free breakfast. I was going from NYC to DC for meetings and needed a spot in between to break up the drive without breaking the bank as I'd check in by midnight and be out before noon. I was not enamored when I first arrived. The lobby walls looked like they had seen a flood and the hotel lobby was a bit messy with trash on the tables. It turned out they were doing a lobby renovation the next morning. The welcome was pleasant enough and soon I was on my way to my room ... which had two beds, even though we had booked a king. I was told that was all they had and I was offered concession points, which I gladly took. We hoped to stretch out in a king bed after the drive but we made the best of it. The room is incredibly spacious and long ... for a standard-sized room it was huge and modern/clean. It was like a cross between a Residence Inn and a Courtyard in that it had a small counter with a microwave, sink, etc. and a little area with a desk. There was a sofa (sadly ... and icky ... it looked like it was cum-stained) and a coffee table and the two beds. The bathroom door was right at the foot of the bed, which I hated. Not sure why they didn't place the bathroom at the far end of the room and the kitchen/office where the bathroom was. The bathroom itself was great. No combo shower/tub with a shower curtain, which is my pet peeve. It was a glassed in (full with door!!) shower in a separate room than the sink/vanity and toilet. The bathroom was spacious and someone could be getting ready at the sink while the other person showered. Plenty of towels and just okay toilet products. The thing I most hated was the housekeeping. I had my Do Not Disturb sign on the door and they knocked aggressively at 11 a.m. though check out was at noon ... and I was given an extended check out of 1 p.m. by the front desk. I asked if they saw the do not disturb sign and they said yes. At noon, there was another knock ... they said nobody told them about the 1 p.m. checkout and went away. When a Do Not Disturb sign is up, why would you knock on the door? It'd just annoying. The breakfast was boring ... mostly cheap yogurt, bagged cereals and the type of bagels that are an insult to bagels. And it was packed up and completely gone by 9 a.m. Maybe because renovations and painting of the lobby were in full swing. The pool was small and right off the lobby, so you had to walk through the lobby/past the front desk in your towel. Fitness room was typical and internet was fast and easy to connect to. Overall, for what it is, the hotel was nice. The spaciousness of the rooms and the clean, modern design won me over.It was just a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel itself is in a quiet area about 2 miles off Route 95. No traffic, no noise and there is a small plaza next door with a bar and a barbershop. Gas and restaurants are nearby but not right next door. read more

Loved loved loved it. Very clean open space. The staff super friendly and helpful soft beds and clean towels. Staying at places like this makes it worth the money which I used my hotels.com points on. They have breakfast and coffee bright and early plenty of parking and the water pressure is to die for i love a hot shower and they do not disappoint big mirrors for plenty of selfies stop by if you get a chance read more

Meh. In many ways staying at a hotel is a lot like drinking wine. At first they all seem the same but after a while you develop a taste for a specific type or flavor. I hate this animal that I've become. Two years ago I would have been pumped to stay at a hotel like this because it has a fridge and microwave. But quote Timmy Aces, nevermore.... nevermore... The walls at this hotel are the thinnest of any hotel I've ever been to. It's rare that I have a problem sleeping as I've become accustomed to ambient sounds. Here you can hear EVERYTHING, and I literally mean everything. The bedding and linens are what you would expect at a springhill or fairfield and are quite subpar. The water isn't that hot and the porcelain in the tub is cracked. The internet is butt slow and the temperature is either the arctic or sahara. I would avoid this hotel as everything here stinks. Well, except for me... for once in my life I actually smell manly. read more

Hotel is just okay. Typical Springhill suites and looks the same in every city. This was built in 2001. It has not been renovated since. Wall paper in the bathroom and a few other spots is lifting, lobby looks dated, beds looked a bit worn, coffee table had nick marks...but the room was clean and bright which made up for some of the other stuff. Tv is nice big flat screen. I would stay here again if it were convenient but I would prefer driving a little further for a newer property if given the choice. read more

Highly recommended. With the fear of Covid-19, it is a wonderful feeling to feel cleanliness-safe. Our room was immaculate, new, comfortable, and looked and smelled lovely. The desk person (Darla) couldn't have been nicer and more attentive to our needs. The hot breakfast was well-supplied and cooked items were great. The renovations are done, and the bathrooms are very clean. Unfortunatly, the ability to regulate the temperature in the rooms is very poor. The light can't be turned on in the exercise room without the glare making the tv unreadable. The woman at the front desk threw her boss under the bus, saying that the manager had failed to check my colleague in, or give her the message that was waiting for her, and that she'd need to run the card again. There's nothing wrong with that message-it just could have been delivered in a much more professional way. Ample parking, there was a pool and a whirlpool. Rooms were a good size, but I knew what I was in for from the point where my directions read, "It's just behind the Cracker Barrel." read more

Its always refreshing to find a hotel that genuinely focuses on customer satisfaction. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It made it easy to spend a week here. Not all hotels are quiet. Never heard a sound. The breakfast was great. Always ready at 6:00 am. Enjoyed every bite. The hotel is located close to Baltimore. It was enjoyable to go down to the harbor district for a meal. I recommend this hotel without reservation. read more

Not a bad hotel. There's nothing nearby except a Cracker Barrel. The beds and sheets are little rough, but so are most Marriotts. Breakfast is ok, but nothing spectacular. Just your average Marriott. At least you get 10 points per dollar if you're platinum. read more

Really a 2.5 stars review. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by tons of other hotels. The room was OK, but it was oddly shaped and felt cumbersome. The were very sparse on towels and toiletries for a 2-person . We had to move rooms because the air conditioner's compressor was broken. The breakfast is decent - they have hot and cold foods and a varied selection and free wi-fi. We left a day early because the hotel was kind of depressing (were there for a wedding). read more

I have stayed here around 10 times over the last two years for business. I would stay somewhere else if Marriott had a closer property. The convenience of the location is one star and the standard breakfast is the second star. The staff is not as attentive as i would expect for a Marriott property. Being a platinum member, I have seen way better service at similar properties out away from the city. Don't stay on the third level if you are a non-smoker. The maintenance crew smokes in their work room, so the floor reeks of smoke. read more

Terrible experience. It's a none smoking hotel but as soon as you walk in the room the odor of cigarettes greets you and you will be the blame for it and they will charge with a smoking fee. Don't voice your opinion or complain, the management team doesn't care, is rude and very aggressive with shutting you up and hanging up on you. Also their jacuzzi jets don't work but that's not there problem neither. The rooms are out dated and not very clean. Based on this one experience with how rude and poorly they treated me I would never stay at any Springhill Marriott hotel again and would never recommend anyone to waste their money here either. read more

This hotel feels like someone bought an old Motel 6 or something and converted it to a Springhill Suites. The walls are so thin you can hear people talking (and snoring!) in other rooms. They are in the middle of "renovations" which really means that they are painting the rooms and making a lot of noise at 8am in the morning. In fact, it appears that the entire hall I am in is being "renovated" at one point or another, which really makes it hard to sleep in on the weekend or walk down the hall without having to dodge ladders, paint buckets, and workmen. I booked for 3 weeks and you would think that they would have made sure that I was in an already "renovated" part of the hotel, not in the middle of their workmen, but apparently that was asking a lot from them. read more

It is your basic Springhill, clean, right off the highway, new, modern lobby, much like many other Springhills we have stayed at. My good review is honestly based mostly on their breakfast. There are two areas to eat - the lobby or a back room behind the food serving area. This morning there are three little kids running around and a baby crying in the front lobby. I am happily and quietly enjoying my coffee in the back! The food spread is the standard hotel fair, premade pastries, make your own waffles, oatmeal, etc.... but they have it all and all the extras - whipped cream, walnuts, chocolate chips, hard boiled eggs, Nutella, salsa, shredded cheese, fresh spinach, deli ham and cheese... LOTS of fresh fruit (and not just the green bananas and old mealy apples!) there are fresh strawberries, cut melon, apples, oranges and bananas that all look fresh! The best part is that it is all spread out in a huge room. The coffee bar alone is well over 10' with multiple creamer stations. And that is in addition to the convenience coffee that have by the front desk. There are 3 attendants that I have seen coming in and out restocking and cleaning, and it a fairly slow morning. One the way out I caught one attendant (Jaida) to thank her and she was very friendly. Their effort really shows because the counters and dining areas are spotless and everything is fully stocked. I have eaten hundreds of hotel breakfasts, as I mentioned this is mostly the same old hotel food, but the fresh fruit, extras, huge variety and cleanliness make this one of the best I've experience. read more

Elevator certificate out-of-date, weird stains on some rooms' mattresses, poor air exchange/temperature regulation. Decent in-room "kitchenette," (mini fridge, no freezer, sink, microwave.) Nothing nearby...the restaurant at the bottom of the hill is mediocre and expensive, there is a Pizza Hut and Cracker Barrel within walking distance, but...that is about it. Staff is more interested in talking amongst themselves then helping you at the front desk. Had to correct employees two times for giving incorrect change. Hotel is clean enough, but...I've definitely seen better Springhill Suite locations. read more

Late at night with rain from hurricane Matthew, we were driving back to NJ from a trip to Richmond, VA, debating if we should stop on the way or drive through the night, trying to find an available room at a nice place / price. Finally found this property on the little screen of our phone. And glad we did! Checking in at 1AM the front desk clerk was GREAT - informative, quick, helpful and wide awake. Room was clean and everything worked. Interesting sign by the elevators about how they are strict about being quiet at night. Never saw it before elsewhere. I asked in the morning about that and the front desk clerk mentioned that there was a kids event at the Cal Ripken stadium nearby (the hotel was sold out) and they put the signs out proactively : ) (NOT as I joked thinking it was near a college or it's a 'problem' area). The fact that the front desk clerk could answer my question clearly and competently was also a nice touch - I find that hard to find typically. Breakfast was really good (and free : ) And stopping rather than drive home in the rain gave us the chance to rethink what to do the next day (rather than sleep at home 'cause we were up all night). And we did lots more fun things on the way home thanks to this hotel!!! Can't beat this place! Thanks! read more

I didn't appreciate opening the door of the room assigned to me and finding it already occupied (and by the way the man was naked). The front desk was not very concerned and just handed me a key to another room. What if they hand out a key to an occupied room and someone goes in and robs you? Don't they teach the front desk staff not to double book a room. This is the second and last time that I will stay here. The first time they had no hot water and now this. I am a gold elite Marriott member and am I this area often. I will NOT be staying here in the future read more

Stayed here two days around the Christmas holiday. Hotel was nice. Its location is very convenient near the high way.

I recently stayed here for my son's baseball tournament. Once there, the pool was cloudy and closed without obvious notice. It wasn't until the second day where the kids could enjoy the 4x4 pool in which they could barely act as kids. On top of this, was fined 250 for smoking in the room.. smoking in the room? With a ten year old? On the first floor? This was alotted for the stay as opposed to handling it when it occurs ?? Most of the time our door was open with the hinge lock in between! You can clearly see our guests going outside on multiple occasions to smoke. I was told there was evidence of smoking in the room because of tobacco found in the garbage and management refused to take into consideration video footage or word of their staff after conversing with staff while outside smoking. Without going outside to smoke, we couldn't have noticed the garbage in the parking lot by the basketball hoop as well as feminine products or all of the spider webs near the north side exit. To add, we personally took out our own garbage as well as vacuumed and cleaned the counters the night prior to check out. 0 customer service all $ . read more
