Even though no games were going on while I was there, it was a nice (and beautiful) change of scenery. When I checked in, I was impressed by the gentleman at the front desk; he was very cheerful and friendly! Without me asking, he stated that he gave me a room with a great view and far from the elevator so I wouldn't hear much foot traffic (always a win!). My room was, clean, comfortable and overlooked Ripken Stadium (I attached a picture of the view from my room). There was a nice indoor pool and even an arcade! Breakfast was great; had the standard bacon/eggs but a few extras like Brie cheese (which I always appreciate!) Overall, I enjoyed my short stay and would definitely come back if in the area--I wouldn't mind getting a room with that same view during a game!

As with other hotels, take down the Do Not Disturb sign if you want maintenance or housekeeping. * Laundry has two washer-dryer stacks that need quarters to operate. It would be good if they were cashless and could read the hotel keycard or a credit card. * Can easily walk to several shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, and urgent care. * Close to the Aberdeen Thruway Road (MD22) that leads to Aberdeen Proving Ground. On the weekends, it can be hard to enter from MD22, due to drivers entering Chick-fil-A. Take the next right from MD22 and circle back to the hotel.

A rear entrance to the hotel is unlocked and open for anyone from the outside to come in. There is a stairwell just inside the doors. Couldn't help but think anyone could be hiding in the stairwell. The extra security latch on the inside of my hotel room door is broke. The faceplate (cover) over the smoke detector in my room is missing. There are no face towels in bathroom. The stopper for the tub is missing (so can't use tub.) Oh, and when we checked in, the gal at the front desk said there would be no continental breakfast in the morning due to covid; they are only offering brown-bag breakfasts . . . I booked a suite room, which had two rooms a sofa bed, and a large kitchen area with dishwasher and fridge as well. Two TVs in the room as well. Breakfast was above average - well stocked in a different way than Hampton Inn's I'm used to - had sauces as well in bottles. Staff was friendly and texted checking in on me several times. Clean place - solid room, smaller bed than usual but I would stay at one of these if given the chance.

Lord knows what they added to the runny waffle mix, but it wouldn't even cook in the waffle maker, instead it came out as some sort of congealed paste - despite awaiting the 2+ minute timer. No fruit, no pastries, no options. This was at 8am.....an hour before breakfast would have ended, nothing was repenished. We grabbed a chocolate milk and left. It is a place to rest your head before moving on, nothing more.

The employees are friendly, treat you like they love their jobs and are happy to see you. The continental breakfast was awesome! You actually got real food, and there was plenty of it! The associate was always cleaning, refilling and making nice conversation. We are very pleased with everything La Quinta has to offer. Plenty of parking, pet friendly with poop bags available too. They think of everything! They even have elevators and carts to help bring your luggage up to your room. I highly recommend La Quinta!

There was good workspace and nice lighting that wasn't too glary. The breakfast buffet offered lots of options, including a variety of teas.
