Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Our room was nice and clean...there were some stains on the carpet, but the bedding and bathroom were good. The free breakfast was good too. It had scrambled eggs, a waffle machine, cereal, and other items. There is also a small pool and a bunch of print out pictures to color for kids. If you're thinking of staying here to go to Sesame Place, DO IT!!! Parking is $15 a day here, but it's literally a 5 minute walk and to park at Sesame Place is $40 a day. Well worth it. I would definitely stay here again the next time we go to Sesame Place! read more

I gave this hotel 2 stars because it was conveniently located to Sesame place. In order to park your car there, you have to pay extra (daily rate) for a parking tag when you're already paying for a room. The room was scary. When I set the deadbolt on the door, the post didn't slide into the slot at the door frame. I didn't feel safe. I could only rely on the standard door lock. The bathroom took up most of the room and the tv was on a table far to the side of the room and difficult to view from the beds. The shower was sub standard. I gave 2 stars because there were no bed bugs. Other than that, the room was clean but I never trust hotel rugs. The walk in closet was big and dark. It would be helpful if it had a light to see inside. The reading light attached to the bed was broken at the base with exposed wires. The light worked but I was afraid my kid was going to get electrocuted. The couches in the lobby were worn out and dirty. This is not a high quality hotel. They need to replace that furniture. Would I stay again? Maybe, but not in that room. read more

This hotel/motel is a matter of convenience. It is right across the way from Sesame Place and saves you on parking. Just give them a ring and ask for a parking pass if you arrived before 4 pm check in. Definitely bring a stroller for the kiddos as it is a bit of a walk to Sesame Other families stay here for the same convenience so don't be surprised if you see other families crowd the free continental breakfast in the morning. It is pretty gross - but they have oatmeal, fruit and yogurt as well as some coffee. read more

The hotel was easy to access and had a plethora of restaurants near by. The bedrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. A couple items to note, the breakfast had amazing toppings for waffles but lacked little things like butter and peanut butter. My rating goes more to the fact they charge separate parking. I'd understand if it was due to Sesame Place, a city or near an airport but we are off season. This feels very penny pinching to me...just change the rate if needed and don't have an upcharge. read more

Best location for visiting Sesame Place! Rooms were clean, staff was great , the continental breakfast was a great variety (staff was busting their butts to keep everything full! So appreciated!!) and you can't beat walking across the street to Sesame Place! We did a King room with pull out bed which is actually a trundle bed - great for a family of 4! Only Downsides - 1) paying for parking ($15/day during peak season) , but honestly 2 nights of parking is still cheaper than 1 day of parking at Sesame Place , which you would have to do if you stayed basically anywhere else . 2) Pool was COLD! The kids of course don't care but if you have little ones you have to get in with it's rough! Upside was the "hot tub" which was really like bath temp which is great- but gets crowded because everyone wants to be in it . Could use more seating too. This place was just OK. No usb ports in rooms, no water in common area, and the "breakfast" was pretty piss poor. Hubs asked if more hot breakfast would be coming, the lady just said "nope" and walked away. The tea and coffee urns were empty and we had to ask to have them refilled. The lady at front desk was the best thing about the place, super friendly and quick to offer up suggestions in the local area. This is just across the street from a kiddie water park, so if you have kids, I guess this would be a convenient place to stay, but for we weary travelers, it was just a tad NOT great. read more

First of all - Marriott - I expected better from you. As soon as we walked in, I wanted to walk out. The AC was on full blast in the room which made it ice cold. The tv and toilet didn't work. Checking in took forever because the woman at the front desk was rude AF. Also, for a hotel to be right next to Sesame Place, I assumed that ALLL rooms were equipped with bathtub /shower. I feel like that would make sense when bathing young ones but nope all we had was a shower. And of course there was nothing they can do because the hotel was booked up. Lastly, the pool looks NOTHING like the photos. It's small and grungy and the jacuzzi was out of order. No acceptable. The ONLY pro is that it's walking distance to sesame place. So if you're going just for a place to lay your head then it's great but if you're going for a full experience then it's a disappointment read more

Instead tells guests to resolve issues as she humiliates them in front of other guests and when an attempt is made by third party app to resolve it she refused to communicate. This hotel is filthy. Nothing like the pictures on their website. Pool is close due to covid. Rooms are outdated and look like they haven't been cleaned in years. The carpets are stained, the sofas are ripped and dirty. So gross!!!! Which is sad because the hotel is located in a prime location walking distance to sesame place and near every food chain restaurant you can think of. Staff was kind but property management has got to do better. Hire more cleaning staff and get rid of the nasty light fixtures, sofas and nasty carpets. read more

The rooms aren't very clean, the entire place smells weird, and they put some sort of immobilization device on my windshield because they forgot to give us a parking permit when we checked in. The breakfast was quite poor and there isn't much in the way of coffee or tea except at breakfast, although there are urns out. The only real pro is that it is literally across the street from Sesame Place. They also have fresh cookies around midday. That's really about it in terms of positives. Having our evening ruined by having our car immobilized sort of negated the positive experience we had earlier at the park since we were stuck there and ended up missing the movie we promised our kids. read more

This hotel protects Child Predators' and victim blames. Backstory... I booked the hotel from December 25th, 2024 to January 2nd, 2025 for a family vacation I had planned with my 5 grand children. I travelled from out of state, and had only seen this hotel online. I initially picked it because it had a large enough room to accommodate all of us and there was an indoor pool. The hotel was very outdated and has a moldy smell, however, we arrived to Philadelphia at 10pm and got to the hotel at 12am. Between getting our luggage and the car rental it took a while and the kids where exhausted so against my better judgement I decided we stay. We were in town visiting family and I figured we would be out most of the time anyways. The first couple of days were fine, it seemed pretty quiet. On New Years eve we spent the ball drop with family and returned to the hotel at approximately 12:30am. I parked the truck at the front entrance to let the kids out and to bring in some bags that we had. My oldest grandson (16yrs old) walked in with the other kids, bags and the key. I went to go park the car. I parked and the front desk concierge Ashley let me in and I walk up to the elevator door waiting for it to come down. When the door opened there was a man with a ski mask on blocking the entrance so I ask my grandson if everything was ok and he shook his head no. The guy moved out the way and my grandson pushed the cart out and was visibly afraid. The elevator door closed and I asked him what's going on. He proceeded to tell me that the man in the elevator was making sexual advances towards him, soliciting him to go to his room and touching himself in a sexual manor exposing himself to my grandson. We notified Ashley and the Police were called. About 7 officers arrived on scene and took a report. Ashley advised me that the man with the ski mask on had come in with a woman and two small children about 20 minutes before us, took them to their room and began going from floor to floor suspiciously and that he was seen on camara (this is important). After the report was filed we returned to our room and i asked my grandson when did he first notice the guy and what exactly transpired. He then told me that when he and his sisters went to the room he didn't notice anything strange but when he came back out of the room with the cart he noticed the guy about to knock on a door, turned around behind him and followed him onto the elevator. He said he didn't want to make it weird although he did find it strange that he wore a ski mask (the kind robbers use to conceal their face) and was dressed in all black but he tried to remain calm. When the elevator door opened we were face to face and I looked him in his eyes. I could also see some skin around his eyes. The next day after a very restless night I went downstairs to speak with the manager Melissa Thomas because she wasn't there when it happened and the GM Shaneka Rolle was out on vacation. After speaking with Melissa it was very apparent that her only interest was to protect the hotel and not the safety of her guests. The first time I spoke with her she said that if we felt unsafe that she could accommodate us to another hotel. I told her I wanted to talk everything over with my daughters and that I would give her a response once we came to a decision. After speaking with my daughters I went back to Melissa to ask to get relocated and she said the best she could do is refund me for two nights and that there was nothing else she cold do. So we decided we were going to check out early and stay somewhere else. As I was standing at the lobby about to go back upstairs I am overcome with emotions realizing that I am face to face with the same man that last night was wearing the ski mask, However, I could now see his face. He still wore the ski mask, but as a skull cap but you could clearly see that it was the same one he wore the night before. I could see the eye cut outs. He was also wearing the same clothes/shoes he had worn just a few hours prior. I proceeded to tell Melissa that's him, that's the guy. He had a woman and two small children with him. Everything lined up. His wife heard me and started screaming, what do you mean that's the guy. How dare you accuse my f**king husband. She said he was with her all night and cursing was at me. His demeanor was calm and he kept telling her relax babe, relax, relax. In a very calm voice. Melissa started screaming at me to go upstairs that she would handle it. But she did nothing. In fact she began began defending him, apologizing to them and essentially took their side. When I came back downstairs I asked Melissa if she called the police she said she did not. I asked her if the police got copies of the camara footage and she said the hotel only has two camaras. One in the lobby and one ill the pool area. I know it was him and no one did anything. If you're going to Sesame Street, this is the most convenient hotel ever. It's literally a very short walk away and there is a pathway leading right to Sesame Street. If you're not staying for Sesame Street or dislike kids, you may want to pick a different hotel. There are kids galore at this hotel, running up and down the hallways, living their best lives. That part was pretty frustrating, especially when you hear an elephant stomping above you in your room. But that's more towards the parents responsibility and not the hotel staff. The room was clean and the staff was so friendly. The indoor pool is nice and had a little Jacuzzi as well. They have towels at the pool also. They had breakfast every morning and a good selection of food. If you're not a light sleeper and don't mind kids, then this hotel is great. I travel quite a bit for work and stay primarily at Marriott properties when I do. Obviously there is going to be some inconsistencies based on location, type of property, and time of year (if it's a busy time in the warmer months, since this is very near Sesame Place) Most of my coworkers stay in Newtown at the Hampton Inn, but I am still loyal to Marriott so I chose to stay here. It is actually in a pretty busy area, and if you drive around the corner down Lincoln Hwy you will find a few diners, restaurants, and other shopping options if you need. My stay was pretty uneventful. There were some issues I had with the stay and after checking out and not receiving a bill I was disappointed. However, the Assistant GM Kayla Kunde happened to send me an email asking how my stay was that evening when I returned home to Chicago. I explained what went wrong, and how I felt a little disappointed. Everything was resolved to my satisfaction. This location is probably best in the summertime when you want to be close to the park- but it is November and the hotel wasn't busy at all. Good option if you're a Bonvoy Member and pre-pay for the room. Free breakfast in the lobby in the morning. As a salesperson, I appreciate when there's feedback whether it is positive or negative, so that I can try to address my customers' concerns and try not to let that happen again in the future. Called because I had a problem checking in on the app, was told I can't do that despite the email saying otherwise. Got an attitude on the phone when I called for assistance. The air in the lobby and hallways is like a rainforest, super humid. Checked in, the website says the pool is open 6am-12am, it closes at 8:30. An hour after checking in the key cards didn't work, just one thing after another. For paying $300 for a night plus $16 parking you would expect a non bush league hotel. I get Its still summer and next to a major family attraction but this is unacceptable. And I don't blame the on site team, they have a fan behind the counter because its so unnecessarily warm in the hotel and they're doing what they can. read more

A standard go-to spot for us for our Sesame visits. It's a solid place. Usually very friendly staff and this time was no different with the guy at the desk being super pleasant. Also nice to have free breakfast. Still, the hotel's not great. Not super clean, although not too bad. Small sofa bed and no division between the rooms, and the light in the bathroom illuminates the whole room. Because of these reasons, not an ideal room to have kids and adults together. We typically try and stick with Marriott affiliated hotels, and this hotel was the closest to the location where we were going. I was a bit hesitant based on others' reviews, but we were very satisfied with our stay. The room seemed to be updated, and it was clean. The sliding door for the bathroom was a bit difficult to open and close, but it was fine. Due to COVID, there was not housekeeping service during our stay, but we were cool with that. Great place to stay as long as you are willing to do your own housekeeping. We were told upon checking in that housekeeping would be in on day 7 (we were there two weeks). Day 7 came and went and no one showed so then I called and was told I had to request housekeeping services, which I did, TWICE and still no one showed. I had to go out when I heard them entering other rooms around us and take the toilet brush off their cart with some cleaner; I also had to grab toilet paper off the cart and if I could find clean towels, I'd grab them too. I take care of this stuff all the time at home but I certainly do not expect to have to take care of it where I'm paying a pretty good price to stay somewhere where services are supposed to be provided. We will not ever stay here again; for the money you pay, you would expect better than that. read more

Decent hotel very near to Sesame Place. Expectedly, kind of a zoo and overrun with kids. Stay here for the convenient location and tempered expectations otherwise. We stayed here because it was across the street from Sesame Place, had a free hot breakfast, and was a Marriott. Only one of those three really worked out well. The location is amazing to visit Sesame Place, you literally walk 2 minutes across the road and you're there. No parking hassle, no getting kids loaded up and unloaded. Just go over there. You can come back to the hotel to rest, change or whatever and head back to the park however much you want. That part was amazing. The breakfast was insanity come 8a. There were kids everywhere, even getting to the normal breakfast line was hard. The waffle irons were just not possible. The trash cans needed to be emptied about twice as often and they needed to have more regular (vs. high top) tables for families with high chairs. They know that they're catering to families going to Sesame Place, they should cater better. The second morning, we went at 7:30 and it was better, but not great. I'd say aim for 7a if you want it to be reasonable. Pretty much everything else wasn't up to my normal expectations of a Marriott. The room was on the fourth floor and had a constant low-frequency pulsating humm going on. Maybe from the HVAC because we were on the top floor? We were tired enough that it didn't interrupt our sleep, but still kind of frustrating. The room had a sofa bed, which our 4-year-old slept on, which was really nice, but the sofa was pretty filthy. There were outright stains on both sides of the cushions and one cushion was torn and had stuffing coming out of a corner. There was also no fitted sheet for it in the close nor any extra pillows. We made do with just a top sheet as a fitted sheet and the extra blanket, but again not quite up to normal levels. During the whole day, we were only in the room for about 30 minutes and it was the only time they were willing to clean our room, so we didn't get a clean room. They said they were doing the last few rooms and wouldn't be there still 30 minutes later, but when we left to head back to the park, they were still cleaning rooms. Again, not the end of the world, but frustrating. The hotel has complimentary valet parking--I think because otherwise, they're just a parking lot for Sesame Place, but there was also a space or two open whenever we were parking, so we didn't have to use it and wait for our car whenever we wanted to leave. read more

Staff did nothing for me other than offering me towels to throw over the issues. Heather at front desk was unless as was the general manager. If other nearby hotels hadn't been sold out my family of 6 would have left. Don't stay here, you will regret it!! We love the SpringHill Suites chain as we have stayed at many locations in various parts of the US. This one, however, wasn't up to par with most of the others. It seemed older, but updated. It was super hot out during our visit, and they didn't even have ice water in the lobby for guests (only bottled water available for purchase). The hotel room was clean, however there were stains on the carpeting and rips/tears in the fabric of the furniture. One of the lights on one of the beds was not working. The toiletries in the bathroom were the bare minimum, and didn't have the dispensers of shampoo/soap as had been in other SpringHill Suites locations I've visited. Lastly, the included breakfast in the morning was merely bagels and some pre-packaged muffins and cereals. Other locations have waffle making stations, eggs, bacon, and other fresh, hot breakfast items. Although it was not up to par compared to other locations, it was super convenient to Sesame Place which was the reason for our trip. We had 2-day tickets and needed a place to spend the 1 night in between, and this place was directly across the street. It was so easy to walk right over (and cheaper than parking in the Sesame Place lot). If you are heading to Sesame Place, I do recommend this hotel for its convenience, however I wouldn't recommend it for non Sesame Place trips. read more

Never again! I stayed here for one night and it was one night too long. Booked this place because it was close to Sesame Place. We walked literally 5 minutes to get to the Sesame Place front gate. But it was definitely not worth it. The second we got to our room, we were short towels and the TV didn't work. With small kids this is a huge problem. We left a message at the front desk and left for Sesame. We came back 4+ hours later and NOTHING was done. I called the front desk and was told to wait for the TV and towels. After an hour, I called back. I was told to unplug the TV, wait a minute then plug it back in............. REALLY? Fine, I did it. Still nothing and no towels. I was then told to wait for a reboot (by the front desk, I guess......). Still nothing after another 1/2 hour. With kids driving me crazy, I logged onto their wifi and started streaming Nickelodeon on my laptop. I called back. Insufferable wait for a human voice. Same guy. He said he would come up and fix the TV and bring towels. A half hour later, he shows up empty handed (no towels) and unplugs the TV. After 15 minutes of not getting it working, he says he will call and get it replaced that night; and have someone bring up the towels. LIES! ALL LIES!! The next day, I grimly checked out, trying to put the night behind me. And wouldn't you know it -- the front desk clerk (woman this time) tells me that I have to pay an additional $5 for the wifi service I used. The "free" wifi login was a another lie. Apparently, you are charged if you select "enhanced high speed". REALLY?! As I was loading up the car, another unsatisfied customer says to me, "you look like I feel". I smiled and said, "Never Again!". This place cost too much for such an awful experience. Next time I am thinking Sheraton. But I will check the Yelp reviews first though. We booked our stay at the Springhill suites in Langhorne, PA through expedia.com because we could never get through to the hotel, or we'd sit on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up in frustration. The night before we called to see if we could move our reservation back a night because of the projected storm and our sole intention for visiting langhorne (though lovely) was to take our toddler to Sesame Place. After another 20 minute wait we got a reservation specialist on the phone who was located in Texas who explained that the hotel must be busy so the call was transferred to a central hub. After looking up our reservation she told us that our booking through a 3rd party wouldn't allow them to alter anything for us. Ok, that's understandable. They have an indoor pool and hot tub, we'll shop in the area, grab a bite and hang by the pool. Well, the pool was getting its monthly maintenance which takes 24 hours... someone has to test it should be open after 6pm. Ok, I'll take them at their word. They're all nice at the front desk. We head down to our room which is on the same floor as the pool and is a neon green color. I head back up to the front desk and ask the young man at the counter if he was sure about the pool opening and expressed my concern over the color, he tells me the color is from the lights in the pool to provide "ambience." I look the hotel up on my phone and show him the crystal clear pool from their website. He stammers something unintelligible and scurries away to the back office. I would have preferred outright honesty to making up stories. As for the rest of the hotel, it was ok. standard fare for the continental breakfast, nicely decorated. Our room on the other hand: We stayed in room 017. The room had a musty smell, cobwebs on the ceiling and a noisy air conditioner that gave off a smell like the filter was cleaned in a long time. Thought the decor in the room was modern the layout is poor at best. light switches that don't operate anything. The TV wasn't centered with the bed, and the bathroom was the worst. a giant sliding barn door that didn't close properly nor have a lock was oft putting, no privacy allowed. The bathroom was a long rectangular shape with a stand up shower with mold at the hinges and on the far side of the bathroom a toilet. Again, there's no privacy afforded to the guest. The bathroom also lacked a waste basket and a cup for brushing your teeth. This is cost cutting at its finest. For the price and closeness to the theme park it's a decent choice just don't expect the ability to use the bathroom in peace if you have kids and if you use a 3rd party booking company like expedia or hotels.com you will be treated like a second class citizen. read more

Housekeeping never came so I went down and I asked for replacement and was finally handed the towels. The bathroom door was a STRUGGLE to open and close. Got my arm work out for the day with that. And it seems like the staff are all over worked because they do multiple task for the hotel So let me tell you our concerns 1st- dirty, food crumbs on the pull out sofa bed, we asked for housekeeping multiple times but no housekeeping came so we clean the room ourselves.. 2nd- aircon is not working, we asked for maintenance or room change multiple times and what we got is a fan...they said there is no maintenance available and we can't do room change 3rd- ref not working too, did not even cool our bottled water 4th- seems like there are bed bugs, we all ended up with bug bites when we went home 5th- we asked for extra sheets but no one came, i have to go to the reception and get unfolded sheets and blankets myself...it seems like the receptionist is also doing the folding of laundry...ridiculous We are supposed to go stay for 3nights and 4days but we ended up going home after a night of stay because of all these things i mentioned...my husband's asthma got triggered, my kid didn't sleep...this is the worst hotel we have been...they perfectly ruined our vacation read more

Our experience at this hotel fine up until I got home and checked out my credit card statement online. Someone on the night staff at the hotel put 2 unauthorized charges on my card in the wee hours of the morning while I was asleep! When I called to inquire about these charges, I was told that the manager would check into it and call or email me back. I gave it a few hours then when no one contacted me back, the person I was speaking to asked if I had called in the morning. I said I had, and then she said, "the manager said those charges would be taken off". No apology, no explanation. I had asked for a printed receipt upon checkout of any charges put on my card, and only parking, which is ridiculous when you're staying there, was put on my card. Another reviewer a few days before me also stated that they unauthorized charges on their card! I believe the police need to take a look at what's going on at this hotel! We arrived at the hotel last Monday evening, and left this morning. There was a bit of an incident that took place Tuesday. It was around noontime, and we were coming back to our hotel room for lunch and to cool down. We had literally just unlocked the door to our room, and as I was standing in the doorway, their maintenance man (David) asked "Can I look in your bathroom for a moment?" Without giving me a chance to answer him, he slides past me, and proceeds to walk toward the bathroom. At this point in time, my 5 year old son had already made it into the bathroom, had stripped out of his wet Bathing suit, and was going potty. I quickly asked the maintenance man to wait a moment as my son was using the restroom. He opened the door anyway, looked in the restroom where he saw my naked son, and said "Okay you're good.... he's just going pee pee." And quickly walked out of the room and down the hall. As soon as my kids were settled in, I left them with my husband so I could speak to the manager downstairs at the front desk. Supposedly there was a leak of some kind that flooded down into the managers office, not that that matters, or that I care truthfully. The manager said she gave David specific instructions to inspect the rooms to see where the leak was coming from. I told the manager I understood his reasons for inspecting the bathroom, and that I had no problem with. However the manor in which he handled the situation was very inappropriate. She tried arguing about its urgency, and I explained that him waiting an additional 30 seconds so that way my child could finish up/be decent wouldn't substantially affect the overall outcome anyway. She apologized and said she was going to speak to the maintenance man regarding the incident. Upon checkout today, the manager said she would be compensating us for our parking fees ($15 a day), and that is yet to happen nearly 12 hours later. (My bank immediately releases refunds/deposits, so it's definitely not an issue on our end.) read more

Don't book a pre-paid! Even if you test positive for Covid. The expectation is that you still visit the hotel or not receive a refund or a credit. You would think the policy would be flexible even with proof. No customer service - after filing a claim, I was just told no refund or credit would be given. This is THE place to stay when you're visiting Sesame Place. A short walk to the park entrance! Very modern rooms show recent renovation. Smallish pool and spa reveal the true age of the hotel, but well maintained - not a problem. Staff was able to place our rooms close together but we had to wait for 15 minutes for one of our two rooms to be made ready after checking in at 4:30. Friendly staff was eager to be helpful. After reading earlier reviews, perhaps some reviews were taken seriously and actions were taken. Continental buffet breakfast was adequate, make-your-own waffles and dry cereal were complemented with hot scrambled eggs and sausage. read more

For the convenience factor and its proximity to Sesame Place, it's great. Right across the street. Free parking for guests, and you follow the path and walk right over. Best part. Another positive: the rooms wre very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were comfy too (and you had the choice between foam and loft). Room design was cool and different too. The parking attendants and bellhops were all excellent, attentive, and friendly. The kitchen staff, or at least one woman in particular, was probably one of the most un-friendly people I have ever encountered, on the other hand. And now for the disappointment in our experience. They have a free breakfast that the reception desk told me was open until 9:30. At 9:15 my family and I went downstairs (we got in at 1am the night before, otherwise we would have made it down earlier) only to find that there was nothing left because the kitchen staff packed everything up already. I asked the one woman whether we could grab anything that was left because the breakfast was supposed to be open another 15 mins, and that's where I encountered a very nasty kitchen staff woman who basically told me I was out of luck and yelled at me for grabbing a disposable bowl and spoon so I could feed my kid cereal that we brought with us! I spoke with the reception desk, expressing my disappointment that we were told 9:30 and that wasn't the case. One of the reasons we were spending $210 for less than 12 hours' stay (we literally stayed one night and had to leave) was for the breakfast and the convenience to Sesame. The woman at the desk gave me a sing-song "oh sorry!" and no offers to rectify the situation or compensate us in any way. Same held true when we officially checked out and were asked how we enjoyed our stay. A suggestion to the hotel design staff: have a single light option for the bathroom. You only had the option of a dim nightlight on the wall switch or the equivalent of airport runway lighting blaring in your face. When it's 2am and you don't have your glasses, a single light over the tub or something like that...that would have been much appreciated. CONCLUSION: Nice, clean, safe hotel that's convenient to Sesame, but very pricey for families, their target demographic (even with the measly AAA discount). And be sure to get to the breakfast before 9am no matter what they say...with all the families, the breakfast area is decimated by 9am. read more

I've stated at other Springhill Suites and I'm so doubtful this one is under Marriott chain. The breakfast is cheaply, staff is horrible in giving you any answer or be helpful in anyways. The rooms are nice & spacious so here goes the 1 star but the smell of cleaning materials will make your skin burn & if you ever go during Friday to Sunday, expect a nursery / kindergarten. That says it's perfect for these visiting Sesame Place. So here is the second star for other people not me. read more

Decent hotel just off of Rt. 1. Their rates are good however even though we are all work colleagues with a group of maybe 6 or 7 each of us had a different one for the one night stay. How does that work? The range was about $35, from a low of $104. Check-in staff were very pleasant and the hotel reasonably clean. Parking is plentiful and close to entrance. A free breakfast is included. The décor in the rooms is what I guess I would call modern but strange in a few ways, for example the bedroom area is separated from the bathroom by a large sliding door with translucent plastic (I hope) door panel. Upon entering the room you are immediately in a sitting area with kind of a desk set up. The sink in the bathroom is rectangular. For me the best part was the mattress which was firm, unlike in some hotels where you wake up wondering why your back feels like it does. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would have. This has to be one of the worst operated Marriott hotels I have ever stayed in. I am a titanium elite Marriott member who stays in Marriott properties 75 nights a year. The front desk staff was terrible. I did mobile check in for 3 pm. We ran late and arrived at 5 pm. I was told they would see what rooms they had. When I said I already did mobile checkin they said this is only a pre check and I can't expect them to hold my rooms (I had 2). I responded you charged me and you should be holding my room. Asked to have adjacent rooms said can't do that but would try to get us on the same floor. The room had mold in the shower area. I complained at the front desk they made a note but no effort to clean. Second room also had mold in the sink. I took pictures to prove it. Furniture in the rooms is wore out. You might expect to find in this in a second hand store. Our rooms were off the main lobby. Very loud. I thought we had it bad until we walked through the lobby and guests were waiting hours to check in because no rooms were cleaned. This was the situation all day. We talked to one couple who were in the lobby at 8:30/9pm and didn't get a room until 11:30pm. These were all families with small children. By the way our rooms didn't see anyone to clean them until 5:30 pm. We ended up not getting the rooms cleaned since we were back in the room There is also no place to lock valuables such as iPads, laptops, wallets. No safe in room and only 2 large lock boxes and 6 small lock boxes at front desk. The 2 large ones were in use. They did offer to keep the valuables in the office but we weren't comfortable with that suggestion. It's apparent this is a poorly operated hotel and should be getting a serious look at by the Marriott brand. It is apparent they are only interested in capitalizing off the locations proximity to Sesame Place, no regard for customer service or cleanliness. Only making money. Also they charge for parking, whether you self park, in one of only about 40 spots, or you have them park it in the other couple hundred spots they blocked off---just another gimmick to ring more money out of you. read more

Phenomenal! We were probably one of the few guests here not for "Sesame" but we still enjoyed our stay. The lobby definitely highlights the close proximity to the theme park, but not in an overly obnoxious way. We were in town for just the weekend while visiting family and found that this SpringHill Suites worked perfectly for our needs. The bathrooms are gorgeous and the rooms are very clean and well equipt. I understand this is a newer location, but they seemed to have things down. The staff was courteous and efficient. I would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area! read more

I'm not sure about who to be more upset with about my experience at this hotel. Me, for not researching more, Marriott, for letting the owners of this circus trade on their name, or the owners. Issue 1, Safety. They lost power shortly after I checked in, NOT their fault. Every emergency light in the hotel rooms, halls and stairwells failed to come on at all. Definitely their fault. 5 story hotel? Thank God no one had a real emergency. Issue 2, parking. It is absurd that they charge guests a mandatory daily rate to park. They have a dedicated lot large enough for all guests. This is a suburban location, nothing around them charges for parking. They have teenagers parking your car, it is not a proper valet. Rope, duct taped to Orange cones prevents you from driving to what would otherwise be a regular parking space. Issue 3. When it became clear that the safety lights were not going to work and power would not be restored, this Platinum Rewards Marriott member called Marriott to change my reservation to a nearby facility. They agreed under the circumstances to cancel my reservation here at no charge and switch to a nearby Marriott. Great plan, terrible execution, after this hotel decided to charge me anyway, I called Marriott and asked them to correct. They would not, said they needed 5-7 business days to look into it, and they would "let me know". This is calling in to their Platinum members only line mind you.... read more

This place went downhill. I have stayed here twice with my family in the previous 2 years and this is our third time. The rooms are now unkempt and dirty. Showers clogged, mold growing in the bathroom, garbage not taken out. This place used to be well maintained and made for a nice stay, but not anymore. I had a overnight trip here. I went to sesame place and it's literally across the street from the place so it was very convenient. It was very quiet and many places to eat in the area. The staff was great. There was a dark skin lady with black dreadlocks who was working on her own but was extremely helpful. She gave us recommendations for the area; where to eat, etc. We had a slight concern in our room. But it was more so of us operating the refrigerator which didn't want to turn on. She came up did her magic and it was good to go. But overall she was great friendly and amazing. I didn't catch her name unfortunately but she was great. Breakfast was actually pretty decent a lot to offer. I give it 4 stars because of the bathroom door. Not kid friendly because there is no lock on it and it's like a barnyard door. My child just open and close it whenever she felt. read more
