The room was very clean and had a lot of extra amenities, including a hair dryer and shampoo (except we didn't ever find any Robes- as promised in their information about the hotel). Either way, the room was fun and the bed was comfortable. We also really enjoyed their 'lounge' which had snacks and wine and a TV to watch the bills game on. In the morning the hosts made the most delicious "country style" breakfast- eggs, pork loin, fruit, pastries, mashed potatoes and homemade apple sauce. There are miles of well maintained sidewalks in this town for easy dog walking. The pet friendly separate guest rooms seem to be far enough away from the rest of the inn to buffer any barking or dog noise, but when we were concerned about going to dinner and leaving the dog - the owners offered to text us if there were any real noise issues. They took the worry out of leaving the dog alone in the room, which made our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

So friendly and helpful and a pleasure to interact with. We brought our dog, Freddy Sue, this time around, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to fellow dog owners looking to take their pup to a dog friendly town. It is a $70 charge which is steep, but was worth it to us in terms of peace of mind, especially with the off peak rate of this hotel on a Saturday to Sunday being $140. The beds are SO comfortable and I had such an awesome night's rest. Of course, the location cannot be beat. In the non-COVID times, we bopped from restaurant to restaurant drinking our way through the town and it was amazing to be able to come right back to the center of town as home base. I was super impressed with this kindness and hospitality of the manager and the staff I interacted with during my stay. Beyond that, I thought the breakfast buffet was above average with its many fruit offerings, as well as the standard fare. I ordered an egg white omelette both days, and it was just okay. The room was large and clean. The fitness center had a good collection of equipment, though the hand wipes were empty both days. All in all a very positive experience.
