This was my second time here. Yesterday it was a wellness retreat focusing on garden to table. They…read morenow have a master gardener but unfortunately it was drizzling for a good part of the day so we weren't able to go out to see her work but were able to hear about it. The dietitian did a fantastic presentation as did the staff doing vinaigrette for our salad and the canned jams, jellies and vegetables. The best part we all got to take home the finished product. The food is always good and healthy since they also run the biggest loser resort. We were served breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout our stay and were given to-go containers so that was a plus not to have to make dinner. It was a long day and drive so I didn't stay around to use the pool and sauna. A year and a half ago I did get to spend the night and use all the facilities. We took a few classes with trainers that were top notch. I believe it used to be a campground so now they have rustic but comfortable cabins. The beds were comfortable you have a sitting area, tv and private bath that comes with a thick comfy robe to use. The cabins a set between the trees with a water view so you have great sun rise and sunset views.

The pet-friendly detached private guest rooms are great. Not big, but certainly ample. They truly…read morethought of everything to make your stay with your pet comfortable and easy. Rubber mat for the dog bowls, trash can with locking lid, pet linens for dogs who are used to being on furniture and even a jar of doggie treats. The owners/hosts are friendly and welcoming. The resident Golden Retriever, Ellie is so sweet and gets along well with other dogs. The Inn itself is located in the center of town walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops. There are miles of well maintained sidewalks in this town for easy dog walking. The pet friendly separate guest rooms seem to be far enough away from the rest of the inn to buffer any barking or dog noise, but when we were concerned about going to dinner and leaving the dog - the owners offered to text us if there were any real noise issues. They took the worry out of leaving the dog alone in the room, which made our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

It turned out to be a wonderful experience-- the house is completely restored [1880s] and just gorgeous with many original antiques and fixtures. The owner is very friendly, and we chatted for ages about history, the area, books.. just everything. The room was decorated and lovely, the bathroom gorgeous and modern with plenty of towels and little soap things. Everything was very clean and quiet. In the morning, Jane got up early to make me a fancy breakfast after making up a menu of what I'd like, and we chatted some more, I could have stayed all day! Just lovely, and less expensive than a corporate chain motel. I go back tomorrow, looking forward to it. Recommended!!

It was a beautiful home and our room/private bathroom was wonderful(the Americana). Jane was very warm and welcoming and made us a delicious breakfast. The family room was very cozy with an awesome fireplace(the outdoor temp was 15 degrees!!). So glad we had the pleasure of staying here and turned out we were Jane's last guests of the season!! We stayed here recently on a Friday night after hoping to see air balloons over Letchworth SP. The…read moreinn was easy enough to find since at least the GPS still worked to guide us to the inn. No phone service in most of Letchworth, and no internet access also. If not for the free wifi at the Inn, we'd be lost in space! After a quick tour of the inn in which they also mentioned the future work to be done on another floor of the inn, we turned in hoping to take a hot shower after standing and walking all day in the hot sun. 2-3 mins no hot water in the shower. More time and still NO hot water. Opened the faucet in the sink for over 10 minutes and NO hot water. Went down to ask about it, and nobody was at the desk. No hot shower so went to sleep in a grimy skin. At least the bed was comfortable. There was a ceiling fan and this was the first ceiling fan I've ever seen outside a personal residence, and the blades were clean! But looking around, yes, the place is old and needs a lot of loving attention to detail, as there are scrapes, cracks and peeling something all over. There is dust everywhere and I am allergic to that everything. The hot water is nonexistent tho water pressure was good. Then we wondered IF the plumbing was lead! My wife went down twice for tea and after she left twice, the door popped open all by itself, apparently needing a strong pull to be sure it closes with a click. There is free wifi which helped us greatly in planning for the next day, and as we drove off, in helping us get not lost! We also thought the very light grab and go breakfast was a bit too light, and a nicer sit-down breakfast would have been appropriate, considering the cost of the room. I am sure if they give a bit more attention to the many details of the structure, a decent breakfast and overall the business itself, and the many many rooms, they just may enjoy more occupancy!!

Even the orange juice was little per-filled sealed cups like it came from a hospital cafeteria. They are remodeling the lobby but they should be doing something with the dated rooms. No charging stations and the couch was old and ratty. We will not be back to this place. UPDATE: I complained on my survey and was contacted by a customer service representative and they gave the company response "sorry for your bad experience we will try hard" which I replied, typical response, I don't believe you even read my additional comments. I said that there was a time when customers were compensated for bad experiences but now it is , we got your money, sorry. About a hour later a got a reply that half my money was being refunded. So at least they are trying so I changed my rating to 2 stars for the effort.

I walk through the doors to an attitude from Tanya saying I was the last person to check in. And apparently she had to stay until I got there. On top of that, the out front unloading zone and parking lot had not even been plowed or treated with salt. Therefore, what a hassle trying to get your luggage in the middle of the night. As everyone knows the brand Wyndham is typically on target however this location is not. For the price of the rooms and the brand was very disappointed, not only with the service but the condition of the room. I will say my bed was very comfortable however, the pillows needed thrown away as there was really nothing left to them as you picked them up they folded into and were all floppy. Zero support! My duvet cover showed a huge rip that had been sewn back together, Underneath the heating unit, there were all kinds of wires that had been spliced sticking out, grabbing your feet when you went by, cloth chair, a huge stain on it, mini fridge was frozen up, coffee pot was dirty, dirt around bathroom vanity faucet, bathroom exhaust fan didn't work at all, peeling paint from the bathroom mirror frame, grout in the bathroom with two different colors, tub drained very slow, towel had someone else's hair on it, bathroom door frame all scratched up, remote control was dirty, and some features not even work on it, wasn't able to connect to Wi-Fi the entire time there. As I missed my dog on the trip, I stopped at the front desk to ask if there were breed restrictions and the cost.... Quickly, the lady rolled her eyes ( same lady that checked me in with the attitude ) and ask what I had, followed by an attitude as to why it cost a extra$ 75 per night for a dog ( keep in mind I didn't ask why ) but she definitely lead on that. She didn't appreciate dogs being there and she said it would be cheaper to leave them at home. She stated that everything has to be taken out of the room and cleaned afterwards. Yes I expected that but the level of attitude I received was very unwelcoming. Perhaps it's time for a career change for this individual as she is leaving a negative impact on this hotel. Can we say " bad apple "? Everyone else here was very friendly. Noticed same bags of trash, set out by the residence for pick up for days. Elevators were a slushy mess in the lobby coming in pretty much the same. Wasn't able to enjoy the heated pool or hot tub due to unruly children running, screaming out of control as they were doing cannonballs....and of course, the parents were doing nothing. Parking was a train wreck as they didn't plow any of the parking lot or parking spaces, therefore it took up a lot more space because people couldn't see the lines and a lot of people had to park at the bank next-door and lug all their stuff across the snowy parking lot. OK now for what I did enjoy. Bed was comfortable and clean, rosemary, scented toiletries, hot complementary breakfast with delicious coffee. Friendly and helpful staff ( except for gray hair lady at the front desk ). Great location for walking to and from on a ski trip.
