UPDATE to Previous Review. Very fast response after I contacted them regarding not receiving my invoice. After contacting me them I received the invoice for services the next day. Thank you. Service was great and they fixed what was needed quickly. Only issue was they could not take a card for payment at the time service was rendered so had to write a check and was told to put email address on it so I they could email my receipt still have yet to receive my receipt for the service provided. read more

I had Brett from Sprinkler Masters come out in Nov 2020 as I found out that my irrigation system was leaking since I purchased my home in March! He responded quick enough however, he was much more expensive than I would have ever imagined and cut corners at every turn. He dug a giant hole and then instead of refilling with dirt, he put a bunch of insulation and garbage in the hole, then covered with some dirt, thus the entire thing sunk by about a foot. Also, I had a lot of large river rock where he dug the hole... that was BEFORE he dug the hole. When he left, he left a giant mess and the river rock was no where to be found!! He also never bothered to bring more dirt or rock in to bring the levels back to where they were prior to his starting the job so it looked God awful. Now it is spring 2021 and I turn on my sprinklers and sure enough, I have a leak right where Brett had performed work just six months before! I called him and he never returned my call. He knew he did a half-a$$ed job for a few thousand dollars and I was essentially robbed by him. All I wanted to do is see what he was going to do for me and he didn't have the decency to return my call. He runs what is utterly a useless service and should be shut down by the BBB, which is where I will file my next complaint! Overall, the guy is as bad as they come and I would NEVER use them again. They are way over-priced, cut every corner they can, steal rock from your property, leave it as a giant mess, and then don't even do a good enough job to actually fix the problem!! read more

This is not a review of their work as I was never able to get them that far. Had some sprinkler repair work to do on a rental. First call no problem got them the info and I think they even went out to the property but they never called me back. Made multiple attempts with calls, texts and emails. Finally got a phone call back promising to send me a bid that day. Never came. Gave them several weeks and multiple opportunities to get some work. Too much effort to try to hire these guys, poor communication and not reliable is the impression they left. Gave up hired, someone else. read more

Front office was helpful and very pleasant to work with. I was scheduled a month away, however when an earlier opening occurred I was contacted to move up the appointment. Tech was knowledgeable and professional. Tech and helper showed up on time. Prior to beginning work I was advised that if digging was required the cost to repair would be $750-1000. Repairs were completed and to this point (2 weeks out) appear to be functioning correctly. Two underground values were replaced. 6 hours and 30 minutes labor over a 3 day period, counting the second day when the job sat idle. Total cost was $1000. Tech cleaned up the worksite satisfactorily. I was asked by the Tech to send my email to the office to obtain an invoice for the work completed. The invoice is not very detailed. Doesn't list parts or labor required. That could use a change. I felt the cost was a bit high, but at least I was advised ahead of time. read more

I was so impressed with Sprinkler Master Reno. I noticed that an entire station of my sprinklers was not working over the weekend. I called Sprinkler Master on Monday, and they were able to get someone to my house within a day! My appointment was for 4, but Brett, the sprinkler technician, called around 2:00 to say that he could be early which I appreciated. Brett was courteous, kind, and professional. He methodically went through all possible scenarios to determine why my sprinklers were not turning on, and he discovered that I had a short in my electrical wiring. He was able to fix the problem and my sprinklers now work as good as new! I would highly recommend this company to anyone struggling with issues brought forth by their sprinkler system. read more

This review is NOT about the quality of the work. I called and left detailed messages on 9/12, 9/13 and 9/17. I have had no response from Dr. Sprinkler. The repair service may be good based on other Yelp reviews, but they assume Dr. Sprinkler answers their phone and/or returns calls. Not so in my case. Perhaps Dr. Sprinkler has died. Anybody know if he is still alive? NEW UPDATE: I went onto Dr Sprinkler corporate website and got the Email address for the Reno/Sparks Dr Sprinkler. On 7/19 in 7 minutes I got a response from Lindsey with Ben the tech's direct phone number. I called and left a message for Ben. The saga will continue... On 9/21 Ben called and we set an appointment for 9/23 at 4 pm. Ben never showed nor did he call. I have given up on Dr Sprinkler. They may be good at sprinkler repair but I will never know since they apparently don't understand the concepts of communication and customer service. The end of the story...I found Scott Ribeiro Handyman on Thumbtack, He did the work on 9/27 at a great price. Oh by the way Scott returns phone calls and answers his Emails promptly. read more

I hate to be the bearer of bad news ...... BUT ........ I had a terrible experience with this firm. No estimate - made two service calls totaling $800 and said it would take one more service call to finish the work. Granted the existing system was in very bad shape. Ben showed up a week late ( no show, NO Call ) for the 3rd service call that he scheduled. By that time I had had enough and did not allow him to finish the job and just ate my losses. I then hired a local and licensed landscape contractor - they basically had to do over most all of what had been done. I learned later that Dr. Sprinkler falls into the "handyman" category in Nevada law and does NOT have to be a licensed contractor IF the work performed total is less than $1000. So NO recovery possible for me. On the first visit the invoice was only broken down into Parts and Labor and the parts were not itemized ( so he could have made up anything ). I never did get a invoice for the 2nd service visit. Dr. Sprinkler may be fine for small quick repairs, but certainly NOT for bigger jobs. This is a franchise operation and I contacted headquarters in California, which did no good at all. Would be real nice to even get a partial refund, but am not holding my breath on that one. As you can tell by now I am VERY unhappy with this service - it was a complete waste of time and money on my part. As is the consumers credo - BUYER BEWARE ! ! read more

Do not use this company. We paid a lot of money last September for our irrigation system to be fixed. When we started it up last week it is still broken. We tried to call and text and this company (Benjamin Bishop, owner) has not returned calls or texts. We feel very ripped off by this man. Now we have to find another company to fix what was not done before. read more

I've used these guys twice and had great results both times--the first time they replaced a main valve and got everything up and running again (when it hadn't been used for years by the previous owners), and the second time they installed a new control box and raised up some existing sprinklers. The younger guy who came out both times was absolutely top notch: professional and really knows his stuff. Highly recommended. read more

Ben showed up on time. He took a look at the leak next to the house and quickly assessed that the winter freeze had damaged our system. We agreed on a fair price and he got work. He dug down to the pipe, removed the busted valve and replaced it in a little over and hour. He said he would come back a day later to make sure there were no leaks and collect payment upon approval. He found out during our conversation that I am a Veteran and said "Your a Veteran? That's a $100 off." That was after we agreed on price!!! This guy knows his trade and was highly professional. Very unprofessional! He (Ben) never finished the job! He came over to my house 3 times and still didn't finish to my satisfaction! Sprinkler heads were still not directed in the proper directions and found one that didn't work at all. The drip system was spraying all over our patio furniture and I had asked him to fix that too (didn't). I practically had to run after the repairman to have him listen to me - he was in such a hurry to get to the next job! He told me he would make $1,200 that day (something I didn't need to hear nor anything that he should share). read more
