He got aggressive and said no, I either pay now or he leaves. I wished him a good day and the next person charged a third of the price and was pleasant and calm to work with the entire time. Hugo was very responsive and came out the day after I called to provide a quote (He was available same day except my schedule didn't jive). Hugo said his team could do the work the next day which was great since this was a blown line that had concrete laid over it. The concrete was too wide in that area so Neto (sp?) capped the line on each side and dug underneath farther down the walkway where it was thinner and fed the line through PVC. He also extended the PVC under my outdoor office. I found Neto to be prompt, professional and provided the work in 3.5 hours. He cleaned up well, as well. I thought the price was a smidge high, but this job was hard to comp. Ultimately, considering how quickly and effective the job was done it was a good decision. Hugo and his brother, Neto were great. They are very experienced, and they fixed our flooding issue by replacing a valve and then checked every station with me and made any adjustments needed, like making sure our wood deck wasn't getting sprayed. Then we discovered leaks in the drip system that they were able to fix very quickly also. He had his guys come back later in the day and repair broken lines, replace sprinkler heads and adjust them and cap off unused water lines. Shocked to see some minority who is a racist with no integrity. Totally unprofessional. I was looking for some professional service to winterize my irrigation system so I did a quick googling and submitted my request. Very soon dozens of interests came in, most offer $40 charges for the winterization. Hugos with Aces Lawn Care was one of them texted me directly, without a clear information on the pricing. One of the lanscaping service companies that I have used before also replied and they could get it done right away. So with no reluctance I went ahead with them. Two days later, when I was between busy meetings, I received a phone call from Aces trying to trick me, "Your husband was at the property when we did the service, right?" No, my husband was not even in Nevada. Then a few minutes later, he called again. The guy asked me to reply "no" to his text message. I asked him to pop his message to the top as I had no idea which was from him/Aces but I was willing to help. No messages received. Today he sent me a screenshot of the $69 consulting charge. I told him again, I used another company. He replied that "Nice you found another Asian! Thanks for wasting my time and money" Of all the states I lived in, I have always been using Mexican contractors, landscapers and gardeners. They won my respect by their hard-working mentality and good skills. One bad egg can spoil the bunch. Added a photo of the business owner's response. Not only by attributing his racial discrimination statement to being angry, revealed the truth of his twisted view and the unprofessionalism, he also made an insult to all the honest licensed tax-paying small business owners. Being a business owner and someone whose work is super busy, I don't normally answer phone calls without prior appointments. I have been answering his multiple random phone calls and agreed to help. His rudeness and incapability to stay organized or to communicate professionally already proved my initial decision. New sprinkler Install due to cracked water pressure system...cost $350. which was the same as other company quotes and repaired 1 leaky sprinkler drip line...another charge of $100.00. I have had this done before and usually after checking the drip lines, if they needed fixing it was included in the initial estimate. Hugo was a super, nice person, personable, fantastic personality & easy to work with but he needs to get real in his prices.
