~diagnostics fee $155 was required upfront yet no call back or follow until "I" had to pursue text…read moreand calls for update after a week and a half. ~ at time of equipment drop off was verbally informed the diagnostics fee could be applied towards a new printer if required a new printerhead yet upon making my follow up call because of not hearing back there was no mention of that applicable diagnostics fee being applied towards a new printer due to defective printer head evaluation. ~ upon pick up to retrieve my equipment, I reminded of their verbal diagnostic fee statement that they would apply the diagnostic fee towards a new printer as stated during my initial drop off. ~ I was told that he would circle back to me with comparable printer options to apply the fee to and they would let me know the pricing on a new printer. I insisted that it not be a refurbished printer, as I had already looked up my type of printer that I retrieved back, knowing exactly what Amazon was charging for it.. ~ not surprisingly that I never heard back anything. Not a text not a call, nothing same as after I dropped it off. ~ hugely disappointed and I recommend you save your money if you require any type of diagnostics. ~ it's unfortunate for them as I would have possibly utilized additional service needs and possibly offered recommendation, but unfortunately, I cannot do so because I walked away completely and totally dissatisfied after the initial reassurance that the diagnostics fee would be applied towards replacement equipment. ~ even after I reminded of all this and his lip service that he would research and contact me back with a comparable option to apply the diagnostics fee for a new printer 'not a refurbished version.' I never was contacted again with his follow. he knew he was making an easy $155 from me and never provided any services only empty words.

I never leave reviews. Nice enough people...went there as a specific choice to buy local rather…read morethan go to the Assurion affiliated behemoth. It may have been a mistake. I'm 57 and never had to replace a screen. I dropped my phone, screen broke...had to do it. Such is life. They fixed it, more expensive than the franchise place but it was my choice...all good. 11 days later my screen is cracked...I didn't drop it, didn't put the phone in any condition or environment that was in any way out of the ordinary....genuinely...on my kids...no lie. Just as it was before being fixed, my phone resides on an Otter box. I am at a friend's house...I set my phone down...pick it up an hour or so later and it's cracked. Does something rub up against it? Probably...maybe. Can't be sure. But there was zero stress put on the back or front of the phone. It was in my pocket, in the car and in this person's house. When I came back and explained my situation, the best they could do was instead of paying the $188 I paid originally, I paid $150. On the one hand, I get it. The warranty not covering physical damage makes sense. People are nuts, people are irresponsible, etc. But I got zero vibe, feeling, sense that my take mattered. I didn't ask for it but was thinking...if I'm the business owner, maybe I throw in a scree protector at not charge. A minimal...coupla bucks investment in a customer that says on some small way...we get it...you just paid $188 for a replacement and 10 days later...inexplicably you're paying another $150....so...as a basic gesture of goodwill...here's the bare fu***ing minimum we can do to display some level of service...and nope. Just a transaction. Gimme a GD reason to pay more to shop local next time. Your shortsightedness cost you not just a customer but probably 8-10 customers if basic marketing principles hold. Shop local - please...for everything you can. Your dollar, when spent locally serves the business and your community 10x vs what comes from shopping at a chain. However...if you need a mobile phone repaired...there is no benefit to shopping local. Why? Because they know they have you. They know you are captive to your phone. Really. They're right. We are. No argument. Go to the behemoth. Go to the chain if you need your phone fixed. These guys are no better. They know you will do whatever to get your phone back. They clearly use inferior quality product. And I feel for them on some level...they are competing against massive volume that prices them out for many folks. Well, this is the rare occasion where the local place lost me. I won't say "don't shop here", etc...cause maybe my experience is just a one-off. And...also...F them. They had a shot at being decent and failed.

uBreakiFix in St. Augustine Florida is terrible. It was a…read moremechanical issue with the laptop, the screen blanked out when opened more than halfway. When I brought in the laptop they told me it would be 24 hours to do the diagnostic, then a voice from the backroom said 48 hours, but the receipt I was given said 8 hours. 24 hours later I called and was put on hold. I waited 10 minutes and was still on hold. I decided to drive to the shop. I was still listening to music when I walked in 37 minutes later still listening to "on hold" music. There were no customers waiting and nobody was on the phone. They said "we're really busy". I decided enough is enough and I wanted my laptop back. At that point they said their time to run a diagnostic was 72 hours, right! I said I wanted a credit for the $60 I paid for the diagnostic, they said no, it was non-refundable. I'll never ever go to a uBreakiFix again and you shouldn't either. Oh, and one more thing that I would expect from a vendor at a flea market, they charge an extra 2.5% for using a credit card. Come on, are you serious?

Great quick response and since this help was needed for my mother and I am in another state Jason…read morewent out and above in keeping me in the loop on the progress. He is very professional and friendly. My mother dosen't drive so he came to her house and fixed alot of her tech (Apple) products and gave her tips on how to use them. He also took some old tvs and tablets to donate to a local school for them to practice on. I love that. He even had someone who could help my mom get her dogs to the Vet and groomed.
