To put…read moreit in their own words, "Every 8 weeks, TENSPACE opens a free, unticketed, and immersive experience where you can get to know an online brand in real life. TENSPACE is located in the heart of the midwest, Columbus, Ohio, and is open Wednesday - Sunday and also offers ticketed experiences during each brand's experience." Essentially, a company pays TENSPACE to host a marketing event at the space for 8 weeks. When I stopped in, they were working with Olipop (a health-focused soda company). It looks like they've done partnerships with Ban.do and other companies in the past. (I'm actually sad I missed the Ban.do one.) TENSPACE, at least for the Olipop pop-up, really is marketing done *right*. I walked into this beautifully-decorated, open space that was all about the brand. As the representative explained, everything about the space was specifically curated in partnership with the brand to help you experience what the brand's about. For Olipop, they were looking for the feeling of summer relaxation and fun with people you care about, so the space was decorated in fun, bright colors with a faux soda bar, cornhole, a picnic table, and more. It's hard to really explain how beautifully curated it all is, honestly. It's overwhelming at first glance, but as you settle in, you really notice the attention to details - like the branding on the Connect Four board, the wall that encouraged you to think back to your favorite flavors and what memories they inspired, or even the flavor descriptions that were on the bags for the Cornhole game. There's just so much everywhere. Marketing amazement aside, it's just a really, really fun experience. It's like being temporarily teleported to another world where you're encouraged to just hang out and be in the space. With minimal things to buy (just two things for Olipop - a sampler pack of soda or a tote bag), the focus isn't really on purchasing. It's all about experiencing the different aspects of the brand - and leaving with a positive feeling about the brand. As a customer, TENSPACE offers (at least during the Olipop experience): -An immersive experience that feels a bit like a wonderland you're encouraged to explore -Air conditioning - which while walking Short North in the summer is worth its weight in gold -A free tasting bar you can walk in and try all of the Olipop flavors -Vote for your favorite Olipop flavor and get a free can to walk out with too -Games you're encouraged to play and experience with those you're with -SO many backgrounds and inspiration for selfies. A soda bar. A faux outdoor area with picnic table. Gigantic straws. Bubbles everywhere. "Scented" dressing rooms filled with props that encourage selfies. This is, of course, if you happen in on a random day. They also have ticketed events and partnerships (like crafting your own popsicles or yoga pop-ups) that integrate the brand into crafted experiences too. And again, it's all extra-magical because there just isn't a pressure to buy anything. The staff is running the tasting bar, and you're free to explore every inch without the pressure to leave after purchasing. Really, I'm beyond ecstatic about TENSPACE, and I'm likely coming back every two months to see what immaculate partnership they've put together next.

The prices are refreshingly fair, the food comes out fresh every single time, and the vegetarian options? Chef's kiss. I blanked on the name of my dish but my taste buds definitely remember it. My husband, a man of few words when it comes to food compliments, was also thoroughly impressed with his meal. If you're on the fence, consider this your sign. We'll be back. Probably soon.

The place is not big and they usually have large parties coming in, thus fills the space quickly. We started with Tofu chicharron which we were expecting to be crispy - because chicharron means 'crackling pork rinds' but these Tofu were soft a lil disappointed there. We tried the pork sisig, it was okay. It has this mayo topping and there's an overpowering taste of ginger which is not typical of sisig. We enjoyed the grilled pork belly though, marinated enough and it's complimented with soy vinegar dip. The pancit on the other hand was very greasy. The oil was pooling at the bottom of the bowl. Taste was was just okay. It has way too many chinese sausage in it. We completed our meal with Ube Carioca, it is this chewy rice cake that is deep fried with glazed sweetness & that was okay as well. We wanted the mango sago, however they were out. The service was prompt and adequate parking space.

I know they started out as a pop-up, but their semi-permanent location behind Land Grant is great, and I hope it becomes permanent. As you can imagine from the name of the coffee shop, there's a slightly quirky, slightly kitschy cowboy vibe going on here, which is rather endearing. TVs show various western shows and movies, and country and Americana music streams through the speakers. I can't recall what my wife and I ordered on our first visit, but I know it had sesame and was simply delicious. It reminded me of a drink I had at Parable a couple of times (a sesame miso latte), which is a good thing. On our most recent trip a week and a half before Christmas, they had a series of Christmas-themed drinks on the menu. My wife got a mint latte, and I got a "mo'lasso," which was molasses, ginger, clove, and cinnamon...literally all of my favorite spices. While I like my drinks a little on the sweet side and eventually added a Splenda, the flavors were amazing. The quality of craftsmanship that goes into each drink is evident -- this is high-level stuff, and worth returning to for the taste experience alone. On this most recent visit, there was a line out the door at 9:30 on a Saturday which says a lot about the word-of-mouth this place has received. Unlike most coffee shops, I really didn't mind a 20-30 minute wait to order and get our drinks. No pics this time, alas, but hopefully my words adequately express just how worthwhile this new coffee shop is. It's a great addition to the revitalized Franklinton downtown area.

I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk. This was tasty and hit the spot. I also wanted to try some food so went with the ham & Brie baguette. I really wanted to like this but it was just ok. It's a nice big sized sandwich that came with a side of Dijon mustard and little pickles. However I think if it would have been a bit toasted or warmed that could have helped. There were a few small tables to sit at inside and some cute flowers for sale, but I took my order to go. I would say they could do a bit more to tidy up and make it more aesthetically pleasing with decor on the shelves, etc. Otherwise though I think it's a cute little place.
