I hired Lorenzo to install my air conditioner at 6pm the start of memorial day weekend. I found out about him through someone at the store I was buying my ac from. From the onset, on the phone, Lorenzo was very busy(holiday weekend and very hot temperatures on the horizon) and but told me that he would be able to get the job done. I felt like he was a life saver - I could not imagine being in my my hot apartment the entire weekend without air conditioning. Lorenzo came to the rescue and was so terrific. He installed my ac in no time and did a great job. He was extremely professional and not only got the job done, but so so nice and concerned. He took his time to make sure everything was perfect. Since that time, I had a small issue with the air conditioner (not from Lorenzo, but the ac itself), Lorenzo came to my apartment to check it out within 24 hours and resolved the problem. It is so great to know that I now have someone who I can call on who knows what he is doing, is a professional and cares about his clientele. Totally relied on YELP to find someone to hang a small but heavy mirror and put up what I thought was a simple shelf in the bathroom. Lorenzo arrived early (what a novelty!), dressed in a totally professional outfit, carrying a large array of tools. I just moved and boy did I need a handyman, so I found Lorenzo through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. He was GREAT! Very responsive to all my texts and right on time the two times he came over. He hung a huge mirror, a complicated candle piece, a few big prints and installed my AC. Everything went smoothly. My mom and I were grateful to have him. Basically our lousy building management and super with whom we filed multiple requests to fix lights (flood lights and normal lights), plug points/outlets, and other multiple things stalled us for 6 months. Reading all the reviews here, I decided to call Lorenzo. Within a day he was over: he fixed my bed (one plank had broken and he decided to use metal reinforcing plates); installed curtain rods, installed all manner of lights in our 9 foot high ceilings and did I mention I had none of the lights, screws or anything needed? He walked with me to our hardware store, found everything I needed and not anything more than that; brought all his drills and tools: and did it all within an hour (including the walking and purchasing at the hardware store). Lorenzo is fantastic! He responded quickly to our request, arrived early and did a great job. Our request was a little complicated -- installing custom shelves in our bedroom -- and I can't tell you how much less of a headache it would have been if we had found Lorenzo sooner. He came by to see the space and check out the wall, suggested exactly what materials we would need, and then came back a few days later to do the job. (We weren't able to get answers to those same questions in three visits to Loews/Home Depot and numerous conversations with other handymen.) He was very nice to work with from start to finish, came in with a very reasonable price and stuck by it, and did a top-notch job on the installation -- which turned out to be even more difficult than anticipated, given how old our building is (read: uneven walls, nothing is really level, unexpected metal beams in the walls).
