Walking in it looks like a nice regular donut shop and the donuts looked good as well. I ordered a glazed donut & a cinnamon donut with a Thai tea frappe which was okay kinda tasted different from over ones I've tried & they had run out of whip cream. I'm giving a 1 star reviews because there was these little green dots on my glazed donut that kinda of looked like mold which grossed me out. When the lady gives me my Thai Tea I begin to explain to her what I found in my donut and you response was absolutely crazy. She then went to say it was natural marks like the ones we as human have on our body and it was perfectly normal and it also was a defect that some donuts have just like the ones we have on the body. She was completely dismissive of the green mold looking marks. I just ended throwing the donuts away & she didn't offer a refund or to exchange my donut. Rude, but also they don't accept card or Apple Pay. Personally, I believe it's so important to be keeping up with times. Give what the people (customers) want. How are you only going to accept one for of payment in this day and age? There was no sign saying Cash Only so people always walk in ordering, box full of donuts, just so the guy can hit you with the " we don't accept cards". Then he puts it back of course- a waste of time. It's rude to just not let people know upfront. There no "we're sorry for the inconvenience " or "well I'll save these until you withdraw money". So Saturday we went to the Lancaster location on 20th West & Ave K and fulfilled his craving. This morning he wanted to take some home on the road however he was really disappointed. The Spudnuts on Ave S didn't have a great selection. We asked for a half dozen and opened the box only to find 4! The donuts themselves were hard and we didn't finish eating them. He was so bothered by this that he asked me to stop at the Donut Inn on Ave S & 47th to purchase some more. read more

This Spudnuts has been here for years, never have a problem coming here. Always loved the quality of potato flour style doughnuts, you pay a little extra, but hey they're worth it. Except for Thursday around 10am. Usually there's an older gentlemen, sometimes an older lady who works the front. They're not bad to deal with, they're alright, and their pastries are mostly in good shape. Usually, i'll purchase a "Baker's Dozen" (14 donuts) and ask them to mix it up. They do a good job mixing the variety: glazed, sprinkled, crumb, coconut, chocolate, double chocolate, chocolate w/ sprinkles, jelly, custard, powdered, etc...you know? you don't get the same type of doughnut, you get variety. Unfortunately, instead of the regular older people i used to see, was a younger guy w/ glasses and he came off kinda rude. Asked him for a "baker's dozen", he shouts, "no baker dozen!", which is fine. Mixing it though? That was a big mistake. Instead of going across the selection of pastries like most servers do, he just stays on the right side and everything i receive in that box was glazed and plain, no powders, no double chocolate, not even a damn maple bar! Seems like he didn't care at all, pretty disappointing. Hygiene's kinda important when one works around food, and this poor guy did not smell clean. When you pick up another person's odor from the other side of the counter, it can't be good. His wrinkly clothes seemed as if he just woke up in them and walked out to work. All in all, for a box that's $8.00, ($1.00 extra debit) i'd rather drive all the way to lancaster for these, i've had better experiences over there. This place isn't horrible, but be warned, i didn't leave happy. read more

Do not order the raisen bran muffins. .they lied and told me it had raisens.it did not have one. The guy working there said there is nothing he can do. .no exchange..no apology..and i ordered a large coffee and he filled my cup 3/4 full and refused to fill it to the top. They don't care about customers. Just making money. They charge $1 for credit or debit for under $20 purchases. Who spends $20 on doughnuts? And they charge $1.50 for the bigger donuts. Their chocolate donuts are the best. Whenever we buy donuts it has to be from here. The top is chocolate and then they glaze the bottom half!!! It's the best thing ever!!! But it sucks they charge to use debit. Awful service! First, the place was empty, no one waiting and the guy kept rushing me and my 2 year old son to choose donuts. I paid and we sat down and as we ate, I tried to figure out how my bill came out to be so high. Before I could approach him, a customer came in and ordered a dozen donuts. It was obvious that she had not been there before because she didn't know what counter to go to. She begins choosing donuts, some of which were bars and twists which are 10 cents extra per donut, but he didn't tell her that. He then charges her a dollar more than the listed price. She definitely did not order 10 "specialty" donuts. I should mention that the way he rings up is just by punching in the total price, not ringing things up separately. When he finishes with the customer, I ask for my receipt. He tells me he can't give me a receipt. So I ask if he is charging tax (which I know donuts are tax exempt and if they weren't what he charged me was still more than what tax would have been AND unless he was calculating tax on items in his head and adding it all together....you get the point). He said that the register automatically added tax (#lie). So I called another Spudnuts and another and another (3 total) and all of them stated that they do not charge tax on the donuts, the prices are as listed. The donuts were fresh, the coffee was hot but extremely weak and the cream seemed to be watered down. He wouldn't heat up my fritter.
