I have a CCW and passed much more expansive background, unresolved was because they needed more time and it was up to the FFL to let the transfer go through or not. Your employee and u yourself knew this ahead of time and told me not to worry because I have my CCW. So fully knowing you were not going to sell to me and taking money then saying I can to another transaction with my CCW and sell me the P365X at $699 is ridiculous and unethical. I have been a loyal customer of Spurlock for many years. I have purchased multiple firearms, including handguns and long guns. The only problem is...the only thing that seems to be worth any money is what they're selling. I have taken Firearms back to them, that they sold to me , and to my amazement, I was belittled and insulted by the small amount of help or return on investment they would offer. I spent over $1500 on one handgun at their establishment and less than four months later was offered $300 for it. Not to mention, Cowboy Clem (manager) was a total jerk because I thought fair market value would be considered. If you like way overpriced firearms and enjoy being treated like a piece of garbage, this is the place for you. i just took my CCW class with John and Mark. I am a wheelchair bound disabled Marine and everyone I tried to sign up with could not accommodate me. This is by far the most DETAILED and informative CCW class I have ever taken. I have been certified in Illinois 6 times and this was my 3rd time here in Nevada. There are a fair number of gun shops in town, some geared toward tourists and idiots, some geared toward gun fanatics, and some geared toward the average Joe just looking to protect himself or herself in the all too common event of home invasion, robbery, car jacking, mugging, rioting, and anything else that happens when shit hits the fan. Spurlock's fits into that latter category. It doesn't have a range, a lounge, guns for rent, or any of that fly-by-night tomfoolery that you'd find in a gun shop on or near the Strip. Nope, Spurlock's is simply a long standing, reputable, organized, and knowledgeable shop for any gun enthusiast from Straight up beginner to Special Forces Commander. The staff is friendly, approachable, and lack the intimidation that you can often find in mom 'n pop gun stores. They buy and sell firearms and firearm equipment and offer very reasonable and fair prices for both buying and selling. If your item isn't something they are interested in, they will even happily refer you to one of their many competitors without blinking an eye. They genuinely want their customer base to be happy and become return customers, as I certainly have. Since my first review was deleted by the owner, i figured I'd try it once more, since my experience was horrible & uncalled for. So, here we go! The moment i walked into this shop, i was immediately judged & underestimated By the owner, short white man, & whoever the tall black man is. The banter went on about how women have nooo idea what they're doing when they go gun shopping. It got old pretty quickly. The men around here have this weird thing where they need to boast about how much they know & how much, i, "dont". Went with a good friend to look at cc firearms. The owner is known for being a sexist pos. His other reviews regarding his demeanor are 100% true. He is thee most misogynistic person I've ever met. (I've actually had a friend work for him & she even said the reason she left is because he's really inconsiderate & ontop of that, incredibly sexist) He looked at me & actually said "you shouldn't cross your arms in here" In the snarkiest & condescending tone he could. I asked "why not?" He said "because when he's with you buying your shoes does he cross his arms?" assuming I'm not delved in the gun world & haven't seen a gun in my entire life. I'm an advid shooter. I suggested to my friend that he should purchase the gun he was actually in for. The sexism & belittling when i was in there was astronomic. The audacity of the owner has to be so oblivious to being so chauvinistic-- asked to have a good review written about the shop for some free scrounged up 9mm which he couldn't even remember what ammo brand it was. When asked, he didn't make eye contact & just said "it's factory idk" It's important to know if these are reloads, isn't it? If you're a woman please do not expect to be welcomed or treated with respect. You will be talked down to like a child, & expected to just take a sale without being educated on why they're suggesting that firearm. I dont expect mutual respect in this industry. But i do appreciate it. Avoid this shop at all costs. Drive the extra few miles to another place if you can. read more

Terrible customer service. Won't come back. Don't waste your time with this shop. I'm a local and took a brand new 12gauge with sling and carrier to sell as I called ahead and they claim to purchase used firearms. First they gave me a song and dance about the sling and no value etc. Then they said we are too far off and dismissed me after driving all the way over here. I was asking $225 for everything, which is nothing for a brand new in the box fired once 12gauge. Would have even taken $200 or maybe even trade value. Too far off? Maybe just discuss over the phone instead of making potential customers drive all the way over to show in person. Back to Range Henderson I go. read more

The most unprofessional group of men you can encounter. My husband suddenly and unexpectedly passed away 1 week ago. I have no income so I went there to sell the valuable guns I have gotten over the years as gifts from my husband. I explained my situation when one of them said 'cool, you got rid of him!' Mind you, my husband of 36 years just died. Then the owner looked me up and down and said 'you'll be fine because just look at you' as Im standing there in tears over my profound loss. I had a nicely modified AR (which I was told would fetch LESS money because people apparently, like to spend their own hundreds of dollars to buy these items), a Mossberg, a Draco and 2 handguns. The guns have never been fired and the Mossberg and Draco were just purchased this past December and January. They asked me what was the number I was expecting. As I'm still in shock and grieving heavily, I didn't think it out. When he gave me the number, my heart broke. But I don't have the luxury of time so I took it. When I called the next day just to tell them of my experience, I was told that he was embarrassed for me. I see the men give this misogynistic place great reviews as I assume they are treated with respect. But I see the women are treated as less than. read more

Bizarre interaction at this store, I don't recommend this anti-2A/Fudd shop: Was in town for work from STL and with time to burn, decided to check out a couple local gun stores when I ended up here. Nothing caught my eye except for a magazine I rarely see so I bought it. During checkout the young guy asks me "Are you a resident?" I've never heard that question and told him "Nope". He takes a pause, and asks me if I'm from California. Told him nope, from Missouri. Now this has me piqued, and I ask him what's the deal with California? Why all the questions? Young guy explains to me that apparently CA has some sort of magazine ban and a lot of CA people try to get around this ban by buying from this store. Ok that's interesting.... anyways he then proceeds to ask me again "Are you sure you're not from California?" Now I'm slowly getting irritated but try to be patient and tell him again, nope I'm from Missouri. He's checking me out then asks me for ID and I'm about to comply and pull out my DL when I pause and decide not to as I've hit my limit. Never been through so much drama trying to give a store money for a magazine. I slide my DL back in and instead decide to troll this guy and show him my AZ CCW (I travel frequently to the Southwest for work and have an AZ ccw for reciprocitiy since NV doesn't accept MO ccw). He takes a look at it and goes, uhhh do you have a DL? Tell him nope (trying my hardest not to laugh). He then asks me to promise I'm not from California. Ok I promise. He then rings me up and I'm on my way out. Now I've had some time to reflect on this bizarre incident and tell some friends about this strange story... Why are these guys going out of their way to try to half-ass enforce some communist CA policy when it has nothing to do with their own NV state laws? Do they work for CA?? I really don't get it, in fact, CA residents should be getting a discount for being behind enemy lines!! Super anti-2A/Fudd gun store. If you're looking for a break action shotgun (the only weapon one should ever need of course) and want to reminisce about the good ole days, this is the store for you.
