I really want this place to become my go-to gelato spot. First off, the service was great. Super friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself has a really nice, cozy vibe. It's the kind of place you want to hang out in. Now, full disclosure, I'm a bit of a gelato snob. I lived in Italy for a few years and ate a lot of gelato, so I've got a pretty strong reference point. What impressed me right away is that the texture here is legit. Smooth, served at the right temperature, and it doesn't coat your tongue like ice cream does. That part is spot on. The only issue is the sweetness. It's way too high, and it ends up overpowering the flavors. For example, I could almost taste how good the pistachio was underneath. It feels like it would really shine if the sugar were dialed back. Same with the tiramisu, which leaned more sweet than flavorful. One thing I've noticed with great gelato is that it usually leans less sweet and lets the natural ingredients carry the flavor, especially with something like pistachio, where you want that nutty depth to come through. That said, everything else is there. If they pull the sweetness back even a bit, this place could be outstanding. We live nearby, and I'd happily become a regular if that balance gets dialed in. My friend, her son and I came here during the evening and the shop was empty. We sampled some flavors before deciding on the gelato we each wanted. The young lady who served us was patient, kind and attentive. I went with the cappuccino crunch in a small cup which was plenty for me. I like that it comes with a complimentary waffle crisp. The cappuccino crunch gelato was creamy, flavorful without being overloaded with sugar. I love that there is a gelato place nearby and look forward to returning. read more

Cute little gelato shop with the most friendly owners, Jack and wife, Teresa. Being Sicilian we grew up eating gelato so every little gelato place that opens up within the Fort Worth Dallas area. I'm there. I got to taste so many different flavors as well as they are homemade cannolis delicious The ambience of the shop is a cross between Sicilian and cowboys..... kind of like Tulsa King if anybody watches TV . I asked about a specific flavor which they didn't make that day and when they did, they actually give me a call which was surprising. I was in the same day. We went here on a whim after driving past it many times. My favorite dessert is cannoli's. So on the way home today I told my husband we should stop. So the 2 of us and our kids went in. We got a gelato and I got a double chocolate cannoli to go. We all loved our gelato and will be back regularly for that. And the cannoli was one of the best I've ever had. The couple that owns the places went to Italy and fell in love with gelato. So much the husband took a class on how to make it and became certified. Visited this new, gelato spot for a cool treat. It's a cute, quaint location just off Basswood, right near 377. There is decent seating inside, a table with coloring books & a TV to keep the little ones busy. Walking up to the counter, you find a lovely array of flavors greeting you, enticing you to try each one. This is authentic Gelato, very close to the real thing in Italy. It is light, creamy, and very flavorful. We tried many flavors, and I finally settled on the chocolate peanut butter & stracciatella. We also ordered a cannoli to try. The shell was nice and crispy, but the filling was missing something, not sweet enough maybe? Overall, give Spurs Gelato a try. You will be pleased and your sweet tooth will thank you! read more

The one thing that's most important to note, please pay attention when ordering with a card at the tip amount. We spent 8 dollars on two little cups and the 15% tip suggested a 10 dollar tip, as 20% and 25% were even higher. Luckily I always double check the suggested tip amounts at places. Wanted to love it but we were not very impressed. I tried all the flavors pretty much and felt bad that I didn't really like any of them, so ordered a watermelon one anyways, which went in the trash. I came here with my dog because it says that it is Pet friendly here. I go inside and the cashier asked me if my dog was a Service Animal and i told him No. He tells that my dog shouldn't be in here in a very rude tone , and I tell the guy that on google it says that you guys are pet friendly. I just leave and bring my dog inside the car and go back inside because i really like the ice cream here and wanted to buy some but then i hear the guy talking sh*t about me to one of his customers,so I just leave. Please do not bring your kids here. We had PLASTIC rubber like pieces in our cannolis we ordered. 2 out of three had large chunks of plastic in the filling. I have tried calling multiple times and they won't answer my calls to let them know. This is a safety issue and they are not following food safety protocols clearly. The couple that owns this are very nice. It is a little expensive but it is good. All is home made and lots to choose from. I got to taste test a few things and it was all very good. I believe they said some of the product is brought in so the price makes sense. The place was very clean and friendly. I don't eat a lot of gelato but when I do I will go back. Went there one time and I can't even describe the hospitality. Both Terry and Jack were so accommodating. Instead of just ordering 2 cannolis for the first time there, I ended up with 6 with three different flavors and a pint of gelato. Love these guys! And they have hired my company to do some work for them and have been promoting my home repairs which I never asked for; my wife was hangry and needed a snacky snack and this couple was so awesome! The couple that run this place were very sweet. The gelato was meh, and not authentic. It also took 15 minutes to fill 3 cannolis and there were pieces of rubber in them? It's confusing because clearly the equipment I could see was brand new, maybe they have the filling shipped in idk. The cannoli filling was also very dry and gritty.
