We visited La Madeleine on a cool winter day in January for lunch. My wife had the Chicken Salad…read moreCroissant with tomato basil soup, my daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato basil soup, and I had the Chicken Parisien sandwich with Potato soup. Everyone seemed very satisfied with their food. The staff was attentive and polite. The cafe is smaller than I am accustomed to, but modern and well lit. The atmosphere on the other-hand was chaotic. Most of tables were dirty and not bussed, which end ended up being fine because it was warmer out side than it was inside the restaurant. Brrr, why set the indoor temperature so low in the winter? This is a perfect example why a modern restaurant should have a separate HVAC system for the kitchen than it does for the dining room. I can only assume it was that cold because the kitchen staff was hot.

I used to really love this place, but it has lost much of the charm that made it special. The food…read morenow often tastes frozen and reheated, and the bakery selection isn't what it used to be before covid. Service has slowed noticeably, and it frequently feels like the staff is understaffed. Tables are rarely cleaned, which makes the dining experience less enjoyable while looking for a place to dine. And those tables that have been cleared off still have crumbs and are sticky. On my most recent visit, my usual order arrived with the bottom overcooked, and the tomato basil soup tasted off--both rancid and overly acidic. What was once a great little stop has unfortunately declined significantly.

Food is always ready on time, perfectly wrapped, great service, and most importantly - great tasting. Their cookies are huge & they are amazing. The sea salt caramel cookie is my favorite. It has sea salt flakes on top, oats, and it's bigger than my hand. Side salads are big portions & so cheap. I get at least 2 each time I order - along with my sandwich. All of their sandwiches here are amazing & you get to choose the bread for any sandwich you choose. Every sandwich & every bread choice is so good. You cannot go wrong with this place & they have never disappointed me. I have lunch for 3 days & spend less than $20. It's so filling & so worth your money. Give it a try!

They need to hire and train people who actually care about food execution otherwise fall back to warming muffins and making coffee... Hello World Blend! I…read morefound this place by accident when searching Yelp. Let's get to the good stuff: -This place has such charm - The coffee, food and pastries I had were good -The price was reasonable -The young guy working behind the counter was super nice. -I love that you can mail à package and grab a coffee and sandwich. The ugly: -The guy behind the counter was working the whole store alone. He was very nice. He did not know how to work the mailing/shipping side. I'm not sure why the owner would leave an employee in the store alone especially when he doesn't know how to run all the services. I watched customers leave because of this. By the time the owner arrived he thought the people who needed a package mailed were going to be waiting on him... not a chance... -I ordered a sandwich, coffee, and a pastry and both were good. The cashier was also the cook. He did a great job with juggling everything but he should not have been left alone. I decided to take my items to go because I didn't want to watch him struggle while trying to have a peaceful lunch. - Food handling practices were not being followed but when you're doing it all, it's hard to remember not to use the same rag you wiped à table with on a dish you're about to serve. Or to wash your hands to avoid cross contamination. Or not sharing yourself with others food by properly covering while coughing or sneezing. Overall, worth a visit but not a place to run back to. Saw a few cringe worthy things. World Blend do not call me, I'll call you.....

How much can a donut hole impress? Central Donuts sets a new standard for the answer to that…read morequestion. Donut holes are the french fries of the Donut menu. They're good, but not the reason you pick one burger place over another. Central Donuts changes the game with their Donut holes that are like a sweet angel's whisper, a puff of dreams, a melty confectionary giggle from Baby Yoda. Have I made my point yet? What in the holy mother of donuts is in these rapturous balls of joy? We literally never "go out for donuts" unless we have a car load of kids from a birthday party. For some reason, one Saturday I woke up with a hankering for an apple fritter. Yelping our way to Central Donuts based on its top Yelp rating, we ordered some jumbo sausage rolls, an apple fritter and a couple dozen holes. I eat the holes last since I think of them as filler. The fritter was exceptionally good, plenty of doughy sweet with a citrusy bite poking through. Sausage rolls come in regular and jumbo size, and a jalapeno option. The sausage rolls were enough to bring us back, dusted with a sweet butter, soft with juicy sausage filling. The jumbo size were perfect for a serving and reasonably priced. Then I popped a hole in my mouth and the universe imploded. No seating is available to speak of. We sat outside at the tables in front of Aladdin (not sure it's recommended). Service was fast and the owners are lovely. We haven't tried the coffee yet. Will update if its remarkable. We were back the following Saturday (don't tell my trainer). "For donuts?" You ask. No, for holes. Glorious holes with sausage rolls on the side.

After I moved away, I held every new donut shop's apple fritters up against theirs and none ever passed. Theirs have apple filling you can see and taste. The donut itself is on the thinner side and with crispy outer edges. I love getting the different textural bites, some crispy and crunchy and some soft and gooey. The glazed donuts and donut holes are fluffy and just melt in your mouth. They are so light and airy and there is just enough glaze to give it a sweetness without being super sweet. You can't get glazed donuts like this at just any other donut shops. I also enjoy their chocolate glazed, cinnamon rolls, and cake donuts. Sausage rolls are pretty standard. I was in the area recently and decided to stop in. Walking in, I was very pleased to see the same owners still there. They have always been super friendly and welcoming. I saw the same gentleman I remember working hard in the back making the donuts. You can even see him through an opening in the front. The kids in front of me were fascinated by him doing his work. It was cute. I got my beloved apple fritter and a few others. The fritter looked the same but honestly did not taste the way I remembered. The outer edges were crispy but the inner parts had a slight chew to it. It tasted good so perhaps just a hiccup in the cooking process. The glazed ones looked lighter in color but were just as fluffy and delicious. Still a very solid donut shop in the area!

My friend got a vanilla latte, that she said was very sweet. Didn't even look to see the price for it, but I imagine it was close to $10 Service was great. We had a new girl, who did very good. Made sure our drinks were always filled up, & was very sweet The ambiance is chill, it was a bit loud for a breakfast spot though. I've been to 4 locations, & each one is different as far as its atmosphere. You will spend close to $50-60,'with a tip, just for 2 people, so it's a spot for an occasional visit. Good luck finding a parking spot BTW, especially if it's on the weekend. Downtown Keller is cool, but the parking is abysmal It only gets 4 stars because of the prices here at Seven Mile. It's a great spot for breakfast, brunch & lunch, but it's always been a pricier spot, that hipsters love to congregate

It also came with same sausage gravy, hash browns, and eggs (I went with sunny side up again). AST but not the least, I tried the farmhouse biscuit sandwich, which came on their soft and really good buttermilk biscuits, with scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, cheese, a generous side of hash browns, and a cilantro jalapeño sauce that was especially delicious. It does get pretty busy, especially on weekends, so there might be a bit of a wait but in my opinion, it's worth it. Oh and the coffee was okay...not amazing, but it did the job.
