These guys have helped me with my Mac computers twice. I have a 15 year old MacBook Pro that I could no longer update and the battery would not stay charged for long. They updated, expanded the memory and changed the battery for me also backed everything up to my exterior hard drive. Fast forward 2 years... My MacBook would no longer do any further updates so I called and talked to the techs and they confirmed that Apple is no longer supporting my "old" platforms, so a new Mac was my only answer. So after I set it all up, I took it to Syderware Tech to back up old MacBook and transfer my data to my new computer. All good! Will continue to go to these guys! These guys were already my go to for repairs. Fast and local. They did a repair on my iPad a little while back and when it developed more issues I took it back. They planned on replacing the glass for free because they had just replaced it. When they got the glass installed and that didn't fix the issue they replaced the iPad at no cost. Wow. Beware, this company will not stand by their product and will become condescending and rude. When I describe what the problem was Beckham replied that it wasn't their fault the screen was separating. The screen was replaced less than 6 months ago, I'm not sure how it's not a install issue. read more

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ cell phone that I purchased from Sprint when they first came out. Sprint was finally able to transfer all my information from my previous Samsung phone after many attempts. I have been using it for the past year with the standard annoyances such as automatic updates causing the appearance to change and icons to disappear, etc. Well, yesterday morning when I tried to use my phone, all my saved contacts had disappeared. That is 25 years or more of contacts for customers and friends. I have no way of replacing that information. I immediately went 15 miles to the closest Sprint store to get my data restored. After 3 Sprint representatives worked on my phone for 40 minutes, they checked my gmail cloud backup, and I was advised that they had never seen this problem before, but the data was not there. They referred me to another Sprint "Tech" store that could check it further. Another 30 minute drive further into San Antonio to the Sprint "Tech" store, with two techs scratching their head for an hour, I got the bad news that I was not wanting to hear: "When you purchased your phone, we did not turn on the automatic back-up feature and probably that night an automatic phone software update was interrupted, causing all your data to be lost". There is absolutely no data to recover. But there is good news: "your back-up is now turned on and you will never have that problem again. Thank you Sprint for NOTHING. Later that afternoon, I was telling a friend about this day and she recommended that I take it to Spyderware Tech, a small computer/cell phone store, minutes away. She advised that they were very conscious and had done excellent work on her tablet. At this point I was not expecting that I would ever see those contacts again. I walked into the Spyderware Tech store where they were very professional, examined the phone and also said that they had not seen that type of data disappearance before. But they did not give up. Yes, they recovered all my data and did not charge me for their services. Now that is the way to grow a business, caring about customer needs, not giving up on solving their problems, even when the big guys say it can't be done. I only write reviews when someone deserves it and Spiderware Tech deserves at least 5 Stars. I have already recommended them to a future computer customer today. I am so glad that we have this service in Bulverde! In the past, I have had to travel into San Antonio (ugh!) to get electronic repair services and that is now unnecessary. Best of all, though, is that they offer these services at reasonable prices. I took my family's iphone 5s in for a repair estimate. I had previously taken it to Apple, who recommended that I buy a new one. I wanted a more objective opinion, so that is what I sought from Spyderware....and I got it. Adam does a great job replacing the screens on my apple products when my kids find a way to shatter them. They can typically have me equipment repaired and out the door in less than 30 minutes. They also have worked on my computer and I love the fact I don't have to drive into town to get this stuff done. read more

They told me they could fix my Mac. After about a week they called to tell me it was ready. When i went in to pick it up i was told they couldn't fix it. They charged me for the parts?? What parts?? Parts that didn't fix it? Then they suggested i take it someplace more knowledgeable. They actually said that! The kid that works there is very rude and the lady just stood there while he insulted my daughter. Unbelievable! read more
