First, dealing with Lidia was a pleasure. She listened to our needs and found us the perfect house. We were suprised to find welcoming flowers among other amenities when we arrived. The house we stayed in, Bigadune, is beautiful with parallel widows providing a panoramic view of the ocean. It has a private walkway to the beach, which gave us easy access. It also has it's own garage, useful for rainy days. We were really happy to find a spacious kitchen completey stocked with all sorts of kitchen utensils. In short it was a great place to stay. Lidia owns a ranch up the Rogue River, and has houses on her ranch for rent. If you're interested in hiking this would be a good place to go. While we didn't hike, that area in the moutains up river was a beautiful place to see, and the ranch has a lot of wildlife to see.

It was well appointed with all the basic necessities, was clean and uplifted, the owners could not have been more helpful and responsive, and the garden was delightful. And it had a good location - it was a plus to us that it was in Coos Bay near the ocean to the south, less than 10 minutes to downtown, and close to the dunes to the north. Actually you could see the bay from the cozy upstairs seating area. It was a relaxing, peaceful, healthy place - what a treat!

This beautiful roadside stopping point is free and has easy access via an elevated boardwalk (note: you must be able to climb up and down stairs to use it, however). It's quite breezy and chilly during the entire year, so bring a sweatshirt or sweater and you'll be more comfortable. Watch for seals and gulls and other sealife, and don't forget your camera! The view is breathtaking, and it's a great way to stretch your legs and take a little break. A recommended stop!

And two queen bed rooms on opposite sides of the house, downstairs, both nicely appointed with furnishings, and two full bathrooms, one of which is also a Finlandia cedar lined sauna. A fully equipped and stocked kitchen (several types of spices, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and different sweeteners, cocoa, condiments, along with a variety of other kitchen items not normally included with vacation rentals), dishes, lots and pans, blender, etc. with a breakfast bar for two and separate dining table and chairs for four, that looks out over the bay through a full bay window. The living room on the road frontage side is also well furnished, an oversized arm chair, love seat and matching couch with an entertainment center hosting several board games, an electronic fireplace and a flat screen TV with multiple channels. There is even an old style working rotary dial telephone! Out the back door onto a nice sized deck, there is a small table with two chairs and a full sized gas grill for outdoor cooking that over looks the bay. Following the stair case down you walk down the path and you will find yourself on 249' of private bay side water front beach. Downstairs storage there are several sizes of mud boots, crab pots, clam digging equipment and a couple of bicycles for use while staying. All in all this is a great little place to get away and relax on the water. Close to town yet far enough away to feel private. The only downside to this little gem, the road traffic noise, in the winter I'm sure it's nothing but during the summer it starts early and goes late. Still a great place to stay and in comparison to the area hotels and motels is a bargain! A solid 4 star stay and we will visit again. 00244

An amazing crab cleaning and cooking station and you can rent traps from the site. Private beach access to the amazing Oregon coast and wildlife everywhere. Perfect for the family. This is specifically about the tent sites, T13, T14, & T15 - we had T15 booked and showed up late…read moreand couldn't even find our tent site because we didn't realize you have to walk through the other two tent sites to get to T15 - for some people this might be okay but I didn't feel comfortable staying here, the site itself would have been nice if you weren't crammed in right next to two other sites. We had it booked for 5 nights and they wouldn't even give us a partial refund so we're out a good chunk of money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of photos and information because had we known we never would have booked this site, and now we can't even afford to stay anywhere else and have to cancel our trip entirely.
