Bandon hotels can be expensive! If you're looking for a more budget friendly option, look no further than La Kris Inn. This older, motor court style motel sits right on the 101. It's very well maintained and landscaped with lots of flower pots and greenery. Check in was quick and easy, and the desk clerk friendly. I got the "Tiny Tim" room which is well suited for the solo traveler; smaller than the other rooms on site, and is also a little cheaper. It was impeccably clean and featured standard amenities like a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. It also had a USB charging port on the bedside table, which I always appreciate. Both bed and bath linens were fresh and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room is adorned with beautiful coastal photographs taken by the motel owners, who are apparently professional photographers. I'm fine with saving a little money and foregoing the expensive oceanfront or downtown motels. Bandon is so small that it's easy to get around. I didn't find the traffic from 101 to be too loud at all. There's also a little convenience store next door where you can get some snacks or drinks if needed. I would 100% stay here again. read more

This is a sweet little motel! At first, I thought the street noise could be a bit of an issue, but once I closed the window behind the curtain, it transformed to background white noise. I loved my two nights at LaKris........a great value for Bandon and close to everything including a very safe and close walk down the "back way" to old town Bandon. Ownership is super friendly and rooms are clean and cozy. The only negative is a little bit of road noise from semi trucks, mostly starting around 5:00am. I'll be back. read more

We booked a couple of nights at La Kris as they were the. Most reasonable place in Bandon. The good? Very close to a number of places of importance like the grocery store, breakfast restaurant, the bank, etc. Nice room, clean, no complaints. The not so good: We booked room 11 which was near the main road. Our biggest complaint was the window we opened exposed us to the road noise. Wow, that road noise is crazy loud.... Especially at 1,2, and 3 am when the big trucks roll through town. If you book and have a problem sleeping don't book room 11 or 12 as they are super loud! We talked with the owner who was super nice and he gave us a refund on the last two days that we booked. Overall a great place but bring your ear plugs. read more

This motel is of the motor court type where you pull your car up in front of your room. There are 12 rooms we were in no. 11. It's a quaint little place nestled in on busy street...a little loud at times. The rooms are small but adequate for the price. The floors were all laminate with no carpet at all. I found my feet getting dirty from walking on it, they could have been cleaner. The room came with a bath and a tub. When taking a shower the water temperatures was never consistent....i was either scalding myself or freezing....had to adjust the water like 15 times during a shower. The room came with a refrigerator and a microwave which we found very helpful. It also has a coffee maker which I didn't use. The outside of the motel could use a refresh as the paint isn't looking to good. Also the wood frame around the outside of the door has big time termite damage....do not believe I would stay here again. read more

A good launch pad for your coastal adventures. Customer service was friendly and good. Beds were comfy, finally a mattress that's not too hard! There was a fridge and microwave, and a little table with chairs in the room. Our room was small, not a place to hang out in (luckily we weren't there to sit in a room!). Super clean. Our shoes got muddy on a hike, and I wished there was a broom in the room to help contain some of the sand that flaked off our shoes (we did take them off at the door, but that stuff still seems to travel). I'd stay there again. Slow WiFi; plan accordingly. Also, the shampoo is industrial and provided in little paper cups. Bring your own. read more

We stayed here for just one night on a road trip up the Oregon coast. It was a good location - pretty central to 'downtown' Bandon (not super walkable at night, but a very fast drive) and right off the highway. The rooms are exactly what we expected for a roadside motel. Clean, spacious, cute, welcoming and a basic place to spend one night. I bring earplugs when I travel, so no idea if it was noisy or not (but given it's right off the highway, you should probably expect a bit of noise). We found this place on line through one of many hotel search engines. We drove 7+ hours to Bandon, Or. and were both quite tired. Arrived around 7 pm and found the owner to be pleasant while registering. We booked room #12 at a reasonable price of $144 for the night. It is located a few feet off hwy and so we expected noise, but as traffic diminished by bedtime the noise was gone and we were sound asleep. Rooms are decorated nicely and were very clean. Coffee was decent and photography around the property was a pleasing accent. We informed owner about a faulty BR light switch which was also NOT an imposition when it would not turn off. We simply closed the BR door while sleeping. Only minor complaint is the commode is LOW. Feels unsteady if you're over 50. Might consider adding stability bars. Location is central to everything and we had brkfst accross the street with ease. I really appreciated the beautiful deep, deep purple hydrangeas in front of the rooms. read more

I was given a map and told places to go around town. I was just hung up on by the front desk after (very nicely) saying I wouldn't book a room because it's more than what I need for just myself. Yes, it was a last-minute call for the same night, but the sign outside says "vacancy", so I just thought I would check. The woman who answered acted like it was a strange request. This place discriminates guests with disabilities. I called ahead and reserved a room ahead of time. Once I showed up I was met with a rude older gentlemen who did not have a name tag on. He processed to pry at me and ask what disability I have that required a service dog which is ILLEGAL. I have ptsd and anxiety which made this interaction very traumatic for me since I don't do well with confrontation. He took my credit card information over the phone and proceeded to try and give me only half of my credit card number back on a piece of paper when I asked him for a receipt showing that I was not charged . I will be making a complaint with the US department of justice and will be taking any action necessary until I feel this has been made right. read more

The affordable rates drew us in, but we were quite surprised to find such clean and cozy accommodations. The grounds are landscaped with fuscias, and hydrangeas and in November they were all in bloom. The room we stayed in was bright, super clean, and had a very quaint animal theme. It was decorated with national geographic quality photos of birds, taken by the owners. I am always happy to find a bath tub instead of a plain shower, this one was sparkling clean, roomy, came with a drain plug (although it didn't leak) and the hot water was sufficient enough to amply fill the tub. Thanks for going the extra mile to make the La Kris Inn so special. This will definitely be a regular stop on our coastal migration. read more

Quiet little roadside motel next to a big loud road.... That about says it for me. the place is clean. Free Wifi works nicely. Cable TV access is really limited (and only the worst choices are available from what I could tell.) Beds are okay, but not great. Parking is off the highway and protected as much as possible -- and they've tried to block some of the highway noise with hedges -- but it's just too close. La Kris Inn is a nice slice of sanity on a long road. Bandon, Oregon turned out to be the 1/2 way point on a major move for my family, and the three trips it took with Uhauls and Trailers all included a good night's rest at the La Kris Inn. The parking lot is smallish, but the owners invited us to park our truck safely tucked away behind 'the hedge', and they also have parking off the main street for big rigs and large RV's. Free Wi-fi worked great, Cable TV was good enough, and a nice selection of DVD's in the office, free to borrow. Really good Chineese food next door, and the girls at the little coffee hut helped bring morning on a little easier by giving us a punch card and chocolate covered espresso beans, yum! Having the market across the street - open late- is the trifecta feather in this cap; Reasonable Rate / Clean / Food Adjacent. The owners are super nice and friendly. Their photography is available for sale in the office, and can also be viewed on their website. They have taken good care of this roadside inn, and as you drift off to sleep, rather than thinking back on the roadside sheep, you might count the hand stitches in the quilts on the beds and appreciate that someone took a lot of time to make that blanket. I note, especially on Trip Advisor, that people complain about thin walls and traffic noise (as motel on hwy 101). For some reason they expect this aging, roadside motel to be comparable to a $300/night luxury resort. So here's a breaking news flash- this is an older, but clean, road side motor inn. The beds are nice, the pillows are nice, the shower is nice... it's a great value. No, you can't ring up the concierge for caviar and wine, but you can walk half a block to the DQ. I have only one beef- it would be nice to have an ice machine. Aside from that, well worth the money. read more

Okay but wouldn't stay a second time. This motel is very budget friendly, close to the old town tourist part of Bandon, and parking is decent. However, it wasn't very comfortable. Our room didn't have air conditioning so you have to have the windows open to stay cool... the issue with that is the motel is next to a busy street so it's noisy. The rooms and bathrooms are also super tiny and cramped, not comfortable for two people. The bathroom sink would not drain. The furniture and appliances also needed updating. read more

Came here with My Sister and her 3 kids (12, 10 and 2) and my 2 girls (13and9). Very very friendly staff and clean clean rooms! Beds are comfy and I Really like that there is a mini fridge and microwave in the room so that the kidos can have snacks! I'm very happy we stayed at La Kristen Inn, one of the things I always look for is a clean place to stay, coffee pot, refrigerator and microwave this place had all, this place was immaculate clean. The man at the front desk was very helpful my husband and I asked where was a good place to have dinner and he gave us a pamphlet with all the good places to eat and we had the best dinner at Edgewaters. Pros: CLEAN! I LOVED the hardwood floor, feels so much cleaner than nasty hotel carpet. For the area it's probably the best hotel for the price. Love the personal flair the owners put into the rooms and the DVD collection made my 5 year old very happy! Cons: extremely noisy, right next to a busy road and across the street from a busy grocery store. Although downtown is right down the street, it's still quite a walk...the area was full of druggies and people up to no good after dark. Kinda scary when you go out to walk your dog at night! A very nicely refurbished 1950s era motel (that's short for 'motor hotel' for you youngsters). Simple, clean and very comfortable bed. I arrived on bicycle, and noticed that there were several other bicycle patrons staying. Grocery store and Human Bean coffee kiosk across the street provided convenient sustenance, and it is only about a two block walk down the hill to the tourist friendly Old Town Bandon.
