Location, location, location! We had the pleasure of staying in site RV 6 for the Holiday weekend. Staying here puts us close enough to walk to the downtown area, a couple of stores and restaurants too. If walking isn't your thing- this location makes for a short drive to the heart of Bandon. Excellent customer service, even before we arrived and on site to make sure everything was good to go for our stay. Onsite laundry ($2. to wash, $2 to dry) was a double bonus for us as well. Super clean bathrooms if you need them- we are self contained and prefer using our own. Great place to walk the pets close by (lots of doggy bags available to pickup after your fur babies) We used their BBQ grill to cook dinner. Several comfy spots to lounge outside- small picnic table at rv spot. 5 stars all the way around- can't wait until our next visit. Thanks again for accommodating us! read more

This wonderfully remodeled 50's era motel is fantastic! It's not the biggest room but we have a comfortable King size bed in a true to era decorated abode! It has coved ceilings, MCM furniture and light fixtures... it's very clean and functional. read more

This is a real gem for RVers. There are about a half dozen nicely, spacious sites behind a beautifully renovated motel. The sites are on a gravel base, with wood chips, covering the seating area, which includes a picnic table, and in some of the sites, a very pretty little garden. What makes it really special are all of the little landscaped seating areas around the property. There are lots of places to congregate outside, with lovely gardens, and also several cute little open sheds, each furnished with a separate theme. Everything is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. There was even a dog library, where you are invited to take a stick and leave a stick, lol. It is located about a mile from old town Bandon, with all of the restaurants and fun shops. read more

We spent a night at the b.side motel in Bandon. I was originally hesitant, a RV park. Do I really want to stay there? Yes! If there would have been any rooms available the next night, I would have stayed again. The room was small, but it was clean and had a super comfortable king-size bed. There was a mini fridge with a freezer. Chocolates, mints, comfortable pillows, soft blanket, even a condom. The bathroom was also small, but again had everything we needed. My only suggestion would have been a heavier shower curtain. The shower is small and the curtain lightweight, so it kept blowing into the shower and trying to cling to my legs. Outside, there is a smoking hut for those who want that, a cannabis hut, tables and grills, various seating areas. It's a very comfortable, relaxed area to hang out. Next time we are in Bandon, we'll definitely stay here again. read more

This motel is off of the 101 a couple of blocks so is very quiet. The rooms have been renovated and each have their own personality, There is an apt size fridge with a freezer that was large enough for our freezer blocks for our cooler. The room was motel smaller but they did a good job of making use of the space and with the renovations it was comfortable, clean and a good place. Their use of technology for check in and check out was great for us as we were traveling through and unsure of our arrival and we had to leave early the next morning. Not having to see someone to check in was a plus. The motor home and tent facilities on the property (about 10) were very quiet. There were a number of different outdoor seating areas to relax in. The outdoor area was clean and taken care of. This was a great place for us passing through. Clean, quiet, great location and a unique "motel" experience. read more

We stayed in the Rv section for 2 nights in Mid September. The grounds are spotless! The staff is amazing. The biggest surprise was the wonderful floor mats/towels/washcloths provided in private shower facilities! We have traveled across the continent 4 times, including the marine provinces. We have never been provided with these items! Kudos to the owners. We will definitely be returning. In addition, it is well located, close to shopping and incredible restaurants in Old Town Bandon. read more

So here is my review of the B.Side Motel and RV park, in Bandon, Oregon, 1/8/26. So looked them up On Line and primary was "pet friendly" for the Black Dog. Looked good and good price and so I booked it and paid and got my conformation. All set, right? Thursday I got a nice message from them at 8:58am with all my info. I left home at 11:45am for my 4hr drive. After 2hrs of driving I stopped to let the pooch go potty. Checked my messages cuz I never do the phone while driving. There's a message from the motel "reservation cancelled" no staff to clean the rooms, really having worked around motels for years, I question this for an excuse. So I call them and it gets worse and is the reason for this rant. After all their Blah Blah Blah they tell me that there are a couple of other places that have the room I want and they are all friends. So I say to pick one and let them know that I will take the room for the 3 days. They say NO, I need to do it from 2hrs away while on the road. I say you just called them and confirmed that they had the room, they say NO it's a privacy thing. Ridiculous. I say you just talked to them just tell them I am coming and will take the room. Still NO. Well folks so much for Customer Service and Common Courtesy and good Business practices. I question whether they ever called anyone and I would have been left hanging when I got there. So good luck dealing with the B.Side Motel folks, as for me it's a SOLID PASS. read more

Three words: Vintage, Vintage, Vintage This motel is truly a gem! I love the vintage aspects of it all. The rooms are clean (no carpet (a plus for me)), well thought of and has everything you need. Drip coffee, ear plugs and a condom is available, talk about details. However, What really stole the show, OUR ROOM HAD A VINTAGE NINTENDO?! Do yourself a favor and book this one of a kind room! We've stayed here 3 times and will stay again! Super clean, creatively decorated rooms with wonderful beds and bedding, plus little extras like candy, coffee, and stylish appliances. Has a nice retro feel with vintage furniture, reflecting its history, but with all the modern conveniences. Really a unique place - the owners have done a beautiful job revitalizing this older motel into something special. read more

Our biggest complaint: the bathroom window had no shade. There were bright colored lights shining in the window all night. It was very stuffy in the room, a dehumidifier was running when we arrived but at night we had to but turn it off overnight because it was too loud. We stayed here in room #5 on July 2. I thought this place was great. It felt like an Air BnB & a hotel at the same time. The room was clean & the grounds were very nice. There are ten rooms plus RV parking in the back. It was very quiet. The bathroom was a little small but the room was spacious enough to make getting ready work. We did specifically pick a larger room & paid a bit more for it. We would stay here again. read more

We loved our stay! We were headed up to Portland from Northern California, so we just spent the night there (literally, we arrived around 9 or 10 pm and left around 8 am) but it was the perfect place to crash. Room was clean (I really appreciated the laminate flooring instead of carpet!), the bed was possibly one of the most comfortable I've encountered in a hotel, and the self-checkin was so easy! I briefly looked around the grounds, and they look great, with plenty of homey amenities. We stayed in room #2 (with the adorable ocean theme) - with two adults and a dog, it was a bit cramped. I don't know that we'd be terribly comfortable with an extended stay there, but short visit wasn't a problem. We'll absolutely be staying here again next time we're in Bandon! read more

I almost don't want to submit this review because this place is just that good. The more people who know about it, the less likely I'll be able to get a room when I need one. But here goes for the sake of the community. The Bandon Wayside Motel & RV park is an incredible little gem along the Oregon coast. We booked one night on a road trip down US-101 and we should have made it two or three nights just so we could have spent some more time in this little slice of paradise. The owners are thoughtful and have rehabilitated what was once a run-down old motel and campground. The rooms are very comfortable, albiet simple, with eclectic furnishings and nice little touches all over the property. In addition to the comfortable bed with a little sitting area, our motel room featured a little breakfast nook with a microwave, an electric kettle, fresh ground coffee and a stainless steel chinois seive for straining the grounds. The whole coffee-brewing experience was magical on a chilly spring morning. The common areas are very inviting, nicely appointed and offer lots of social flexibility. I took a stroll around the small campground that was home to a fun variety of campers, small RVs and tents. The owners even have two campers on site that you can rent for the night if you prefer that sort of experience. Top notch - five stars - will stay again. read more

We stayed at the b.side for 4 nights. (this includes our dog) This is a wonderful and peaceful boutique motel that is close to a grocery and close to old town Bandon. The room was decorated delightfully with plenty of light when the two window covers are raised. The surroundings are decorated with several small "stations" for grilling, relaxing, smoking and, my favorite, a dog station that has many choices of sticks to please our canine friends. There is also space for rv's. The spaces are designed for a peaceful and relaxing stay. When in Bandon, this is a wonderful place to be. read more

What a delight it was to choose this Motel on our jaunt to Bandon. I had the absolute best sleep of my life here! The beds, pillows and linens are marvelous. The rooms are effectively sound-proofed and the decor is delightful!! I will be going back very soon to enjoy Bandon again, but mostly to enjoy a perfect night's sleep. They are pet friendly and have even thought to leave the doggie bags accessible for patrons to clean up after their pooches. The only two things that could make a stay better are 1) to have an ice machine on-site and 2) to install hand-held shower heads in the showers. Nevertheless, my solid 5 star rating still applies! Great little spot! We stayed in the rv park behind the motel. Area has been remodeled and is hipster cute. Clean showers that offer bath mats/washcloths. Laundry machines are dated, but worked great. You can text owner and he will provide quarters. Customer services is awesome! Located 12 mins from Bandon Dunes Golf. I have stayed here twice now. Both rooms were double queens and amazing! Different decor in each room. This one I'd say was a little more feminine, #3 was more 1970s inspired. The beds are so comfortable, very pet and kid friendly too! Great customer service and a code lock so your check in is really easy after a long drive. Pore over local coffee situation which I needed. Okay...this is my new favorite. I have loved the consistency of chain hotels as I've grown older and the spaciousness of vacation rental homes; however, this motel has everything that I could ask for...sans a large rental footprint. But...when you're going to a coastal town, how much time do you spend inside anyway? The first thing that struck me was the color of the motel...that awesome orange...like a sunset. It reminds me of motels in Taos, NM. Then I met the proprietors, who are incredibly warm and kind people. I followed David to our room as he carried a coffee tray, with fresh ground coffee, chocolates for each of us, and a pour-over system. (I thought maybe a French press would be more convenient; but the pour-over system is very simple and easy to clean). We stayed in the Seasider room...two adults, a kiddo, and a large-ish dog...and while it was cozy (that's how our son continues to reference the room), it was great. The beds are new and comfortable, the furnishings are versatile, and there are lots of little perks. The added charging stations, the handmade soaps (even a shampoo bar), wifi, fridge (with a small carton of Umpqua milk for coffee...love that they use Umpqua!), microwave, shades that block out the light...and the property is quiet...even though it is on 42S very close to 101. I love this spot. The only suggestion I would have is more hooks...for coats and things...but again, the furnishings are versatile so we were able to find nooks and crannies (e.g., a really tall shelf to hide the dog food bag!) and we made it work. I hope to be back soon! I was unsure of what to expect...but I am so glad I reserved a space here and hope to do it again when we plan a weekend getaway! read more

There's good hospitality, there's exceptional service, and then there's going above and beyond the call... Our hosts, Nicole & David were warm, welcoming, and left their own dinner preparation to rescue us--their intrepid but foolish guests, who stayed too long after sunset and found ourselves in complete darkness, locked behind the only gate in Shore Acres State Park just before our appointed check-in time, with no cell service and a janky pay phone circa 1987. Nicole could barely hear us, but was able to make out that we were trapped, paused her own dinner plans, drove 30 minutes, and offered to take on our luggage and ferry us back to her lovely motel. Fortunately, we were able to contact State Police who roused the Park Ranger to unlock the gates in the meantime, and in short order--we were all on our way. We were already profoundly grateful and then we were completely delighted by the stay in room #6 "Baja in Bandon." The property is beautifully renovated, painted in cheerful, sunny gold and sky-blue accents on the outside and thoughtfully decorated on the inside. The warm and cool color scheme was reminiscent of desert landscapes and turquoise seas replete with a large cactus painting and bone-white distressed painted furniture and shelves. The bed and linens were comfortable and tastefully matched. The room was full of nice, boutique touches and charming decor that included a tray for keys and pocket items, branded drink coasters, a coat rack, movable seating, handmade shampoo soap, little chocolates and snack bars, a tea selection, a pour over coffee setup, a Daewoo retro-style microwave and mini-fridge stocked with sparkling and still water, and various table, bedside, overhead, and swag lamp lighting to create your own mood in the room. The back window looks out onto a shared common area and gathering space with a charcoal grill, picnic tables, and beautiful plantings and feeders where birds and hummingbirds frequent. The area is lit up with string lights for charmed evenings. Even the outdoor separated cannabis cabin / grass hut and tobacco station are adorably decorated with painted rocks, colored bottles, sailor's knots and netting and provisioned with tiki-style lounge chairs, ashtrays, candles, solar lights and yes--even little chocolate treats showed up here. We enjoyed our stay so much, we returned two days later on our trip back up the coast towards home and stayed in #5 "The Nest," a bird-themed room and yet another cozy tiny home away from home. We thought it would be amazing to book the whole place with a group of family or friends for a few day's stay inside or out in the camping area. We will definitely return! read more

We're writing as retired innkeepers ourselves. Loved our all too short stay...but next night was fully booked so had to keep moving. The accommodation: Cute room fitted out well. Comfortable and clean. Lovely linens and bed. Warm welcome upon arrival with a GREAT dinner recommendation for PABLOS CORNER in old town center on 2nd street: truly world CLASS talented chef. Who would have believed it in tiny Bandon!! WiFi good and strong in our motel unit #5 next to tiny office. Ten units approx. Kids and pets welcome. An RV park to rear of quiet tidy property. Sadly, couldn't get the flat screen entertainment centre going, but were able to watch our own NETFLIX thru our laptop computer through their Powerful WiFi, so no worries. ENTHUSIASTIC & competent, under new management, this venerable old complex has been going for nearly 70 years. Better than ever imho. Loved the little touches like drinks and treats in fridge. Special soaps in the loo. Charging cube for our tablet mobile phone "devices" to be plugged into. Free WiFi especially good. Earns 4 .5 stars and unqualified recommendations for accommodation in Bandon Oregon. We wish to return for an extended visit. Thank you for making our time in Bandon a HAPPY one.
