I went in to get my bridesmaid dress altered and hemmed. She completed the service by the date she had told me it would be done. Roughly a week. I went to pick it up after work so I didn't try on the dress. I tried on the dress at home and the bottom was uneven, left side was longer than the left side of the dress. The top was too tight and I could barely lift my arms ups. I would recommend any ladies that need their dresses altered or hemmed, to stretch & lift arms to make sure you will be comfortable doing things. Since I was in such a frenzy, I totally overlooked the instructions in Ms. Jackson's (business owner) appointment confirmation email (the email states that you should bring a long sleeve shirt, a belt, and dress shoes if you're having a suit altered). When I showed up to the establishment, I was warmly greeted by Ms. Jackson and her cute furry friend- Sir Winston. As fate would have it, my suit jacket did not require altering; therefore, the belt and dress shoes that I had on were sufficient. Ms. Jackson is definitely a wealth of knowledge and respectfully shared with me that the slim fit suit pants that I had were not appropriate for my athletic build (slim waist & thick quads). However, she walked me through the alterations that she would make that would complement my physique. On the expected pickup date, Ms. Jackson informed me that she would need additional time and could drop the pants off to me later that afternoon . This was not a problem considering that I dropped the pants off at the last minute. Also, I really appreciated her communication. The second time, I had a 2 1/2 x 4" name tag to be sewn onto the right breast pocket of a Carhart jacket. They had the jacket for eight days. I went in to pick up the jacket, and it wasn't done. She told me to come back tomorrow. I promptly retrieved my jacket, the patch, and the $15 that she charged me. I will not come back.

Before I went, I also called to ask them how much it would be for a cleaning, and they quoted me for $185. I don't remember how much it costs for the preservation box, but they do offer that, as well. Price was accurate when I came to the shop. I always wonder if I'm getting ripped off when I go to the dry cleaners because the prices aren't always clear, so I was glad it was the same. The shop just says "Cleaners" for their sign on the outside, but inside it does say Tailor John Cleaners. Large parking lot, it's near the CVS that closed, and the Big Lots that also closed. Shop is very clean. The woman helping me was very friendly. I was told the dress would be ready in 1 week. Payment is due when I pick up. I appreciate that because I can ensure that the cleaning is what I can reasonably expect before paying. A little over a week, I hadn't heard about my dress being ready for pickup, so I called and they confirmed it was ready. When I picked up my dress, it was an older gentleman helping me. He was also very friendly. I found the dress was cleaned to my satisfaction. Overall, it was a good experience getting my dress cleaned here and I would definitely recommend!

I've had dress shirt sleeve hemmed elsewhere and they were done a lot better. I should've gone to where I went before but it was just a little further than where I wanted to go. I wouldn't go here again. Paid about $45 to get three dress shirts done. I can't say much about the cleaning service tho.
