Not being a TCG guy, this was a new scene for me, but having gone to other card shops with Vog, I know what is expected. Located in a small shopping center, they have areas for playing, tournaments, and a large amount of lit showcases with singles. I would say their sealed product was lacking in terms of Pokemon but at the current market it's hard to keep things in. The cards in the showcases (Pokemon) were kind of messy but they do have things organized in terms of what kind of pokemon they are - fire water etc etc. which I would say is helpful. The staff was also really attentive - I was asked by nearly every employee if I needed anything or had been helped. Overall - I would recommend this place - I can't speak to trade in values etc but at its core - is a lot better than other shops I've been to. read more

Nice place to play, and buying. This review is specific for trade-ins and selling your collectibles 1st time I had issues with them I bought a card that they sold me for a premium and when I tried to trade it in, the guy offered like 20% of the value. I talked to one of the owners and told him it was messed up and he rectified the price as he knew me as a regular. Today I came back after this bad experience to sell my collection. Notice staff is not the same, guy who did the appraisal offer $+was ridiculous. I quoted the most valuable cards at a known online retailer before coming here hoping to get a better deal and the online retailer offered twice as much cash than MTG first offered. I get it, the need to make a profit and usually cash price is around 50% of the retail value but the amount the offered was ridiculous. I am never doing business here again. read more

We have been going here for years and who knows how much we have purchased here. We have always enjoyed the place and staff, but we were extremely disappointed after our visit today. My 10 yo son was so sad as we drove home - largely from the way the employee explained their business changes. We asked where the bins of Yugioh cards are and he said they no longer do this as "frankly it was becoming a public health concern." Then, he goes on to explain instead many people gather in the large room to swap and trade cards. I am certain one person looking at cards to purchase is far safer than many people gathering to swap cards close together. I asked if they plan to bring the boxes back. He said "frankly it's not a good business model so we will not bring it back". He was not friendly on any level and his comments had a real sharp and nasty tone. My son was there to spend his own money. He was so excited. I don't know how anyone could be so rude to a young boy. The first reason for changing its business makes so sense. For the second- even if this is the case - he could have explained it in a pleasant and professional manner. We will not be back. read more

This place is extremely faulty. Do not order stuff from them off amazon they have terrible customer service and do not put tracking numbers on their orders. I ordered about $100 worth of cards from them off amazon and non of them were tracked and non of them showed up. Please save your time and money this place is a joke read more

This was an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, Nathen was very knowledgeable & was able to help me with the cards I was looking for. The crowd was great, & the selection of products was plentiful. I ordered a large quantity of singles from their online store and when I didn't see the option for "In-Store Pick Up", I immediately called the store and informed them that I would pick them up instead of having them shipped. Two weeks later, I showed up to the store to pick up the order and the clerk told me the order hadn't been pulled yet. I was angry because this isn't the first time I placed an order at this location and when I came several weeks later to pick up the order, it wasn't ready. The last time that happened, I had to wait almost 45 minutes for them to pull my entire order of singles. So I asked the clerk why no one bothered to pull the order and set it to the side to be picked up, but the clerk didn't have a definitive response. I told the clerk I wanted to speak with the manager and the idiot clerk pointed in the direction of a room where the manager was located. I called the idiot clerk out on his unprofessionalism and told him as an employee, you don't send the customer to the location of where the manager is located, you ask the manager to come to the location where the customer is located. The idiot clerk walked to the room and told him manager I requested to speak with him. The manager came over and I asked him why his employees were so lazy and didn't have a good system in place to process online orders. He apologized for the confusion and said he would be able to pull the items quickly. At that point, my concern was them wasting my time by waiting almost 30 minutes for something that should have been processed two weeks ago. I was also worried that the singles would no longer be available if someone else purchased them during that two week period. The issue turned for the worst when the manager came back and said the singles I had ordered were no longer available. I was afraid this was going to happen. If the lazy employees would have just processed the order two weeks ago, I wouldn't be in this predicament. The manager apologized for what happened and offered to return my money and gave me $20 dollars of store credit ontop of that. $20 dollars store credit was a nice gesture for the mess up, but I placed that order because those were the specific cards that I was looking for. Don't bother placing an online order with this place because your items will more than likely be lost due to incompetent employees. read more

Best shop in the area, I've been to a wide range of TCG shops and must say this is in the top 3 best shops I've been to. Great customer service, huge selection of singles, lots of sealed product. The locals that come in to play have been nothing but friendly and welcoming. I can't stop comin back to this place. Just come in and see for yourself. read more

Many of the reviewers below don't seem to understand the concept of buylist pricing or how the secondary card market works. Squabbles actually offers a very fair trade in value for cards compared to other card shops. I recently moved to the area from Texas and needed to find a new LGS to play at so I visited pretty much every shop in a 20 mile radius and quickly found myself at squabbles for Magic events. Prize support is amazing and they host plenty of events. The staff is friendly and personable and they have an enormous selection of cards at a pretty fair price. The store regulars are a little spikier than other stores, but I'd argue that this is a positive. Iron sharpens iron or whatever that saying is. Having lived in Texas and California as well, I can't say that I've liked a LGS as much as squabbles. The employees remembering your name is definitely not something your average card shop does. This place is not new customer friendly at all!!!! It took about 20 minutes of shuffling and waiting for the regulars to finish chatting with the staff to get acknowledged, and when I did get some help I was immediately handed off to someone else because the employee that was helping me needed to go back to browsing the internet and obviously didn't want to be bothered. None of the staff is knowledgeable about board games which is why I stopped in since it was on my way home! The interactions I had with the employees were much to be desired! Jupe is terrible seems fidgety and a little spacey almost like he is coming down from something or is on something. Robert (I think that's his name) is rude, makes off collar jokes and from what I can tell sits in the back of the store doing nothing but distracting other employees! They also have a sign in front of the register asking for reviews for store credit which I'm sure is a red flag for a poorly run store if you need to ask your customers for reviews!! Overall I would avoid this place if you looking for board games they only cater to card players and will ignore you if you ask questions since none of them have a clue what they are talking about! read more

Sketchy pricing. What I mean by this is, I had never paid more than TCGPlayer market price at this shop, however, when I made a bulk purchase of a single card, I was upcharged 37% of the market value of the card. I knew something was up when the employee, who assisted me, went back to behind card box shelves to discuss with another employee. When my total was over $15 more than what I expected to pay, I inquired how they came up with that pricing and the two other employees working at the time tried to tell me that they don't always use TCGPlayer for pricing, which, once again, was never the case for any of my previous purchases. But they'll always use TCGPlayer to price cards you are trading in, which just equates to poor business standards & ethics. When I called them out on it, all I got was befuddled looks, some stutter, and validity of my callout. So yeah, this weekend I'm cashing in my points and never going back. I'll be taking my business where customer loyalty and shop loyalty have equal value. So congrats to MTGFirst on the short term gain. read more

Store could use a lesson in customer service. First time in the store, there's a lot of variety to look at. Male clerk asks me if I need help and I say I'm just browsing and he noticeably rolls his eyes. Comes by a few minutes later and asks, "Are you ready yet?" There's a box of cards sitting on the counter, my buddy and I thumb through two cards then the clerk jumps up and tells us that isn't for us to go through. Ok? Why would we want to look at cards at a card store? Looking at the variety of singles they offer, I say audibly within earshot of the female clerk, "I want this card, I've been looking for it." Apparently someone wanting to buy something isn't an audible trigger, she walked away and sat down with the other guy. With such a great variety in the store to be fair, I could've easily spent $100. Instead I left, that's not customer service, so you're not getting my business. read more

It was better when it was squabbles they were supposed to move in with the people who owned power game which sucks that they combined and that power gamer closed up you went from good stuff to crap now I went in there the other day the prices were very high and the people there couldn't really tell me much not the greatest store the store that I like is called games and stuff located the end of the line for the light rail Cromwell in Glen Burnie at that store the staff is knowledgeable and they have more stuff Pokemon Magic the Gathering board games collectibles and even other games where you build and paint them overall it's a better store then this one bring back squabbles read more

A very great place if you are looking for a good time with tournaments for yugioh and Magic not sure about Pokemon. Every one was very nice to me and I had a great time. Customer service is very good and kind never mean or anything. Have a greate card selection I was very impressed but there was one thing. If you try to sell them cards they give you have the price of what they are selling it for . For example I had a 35 dollar card and they gave me 17.50. I felt so ripped off. But other then that it is a great place. read more

The Employees constantly try to under cut you try to trade in cards, their "customers" try to steal anything that isn't nailed down, and you hear the N-word more often then an Audio copy of The Adventures Tom Sower and Huckleberry Finn on repeat. Also, depending on your provider, there is no cell service. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Clean bathrooms, events fire off on time, great prices with a massive inventory of singles, and fantastic prize support. Jay even takes requests for foreign / foils / special printings and if he doesn't have them, he will either get you to someone who does, or will go get it for you. read more
