Justine did a great job making sure everything went smoothly, and during the event I needed to ask other staff members for a couple things and they were all super helpful. A lot of our guests commented on how beautiful the location was, and that the food was really good. We wouldn't have changed anything.

The interior walls of the first floor are constructed of hand-finished wood panels, the original floors are maple, and details such as beveled mirrors and an emerald green tiled fireplace lend a formal and elegant air to the surroundings. Upstairs, the Ballroom was used in the old days for special social events, especially during the '30's and '40's. That is where our event was held and it was a really roomy space. Loved the well kept hardwood floors and the plaster friezes and frescoes of cherubs and musical instruments that adorn the 20-foot ceilings. This grand room, with its birch floors, is painted in warm, rosy tones to evoke a sense of well being, a priority during the "Gay Nineties". At night, it is nicely lit up.

The event is free and open to the public, registration not required. There was a sign on Westminster Street indicating the entrance. The Pavilion at Grace Church exhibited iconic photographs taken by the late Life Magazine photographer David Lees that document the flood in Florence in 1966 and the Providence Journal photos of downtown Providence after Hurricane Carol in 1954. The photographs were dramatic and memorable of each city underwater. There were plenty of space to walk around and take in the photos.

There is also a courtyard, which will serve as a great outdoor space in nicer weather!
