Just got back from Squeaky Clean and I'm angry and disappointed with the extremely poor job they did on my car. It was difficult to see on my drive home because they sprayed Armor All on the windshield right in my field of vision. I didn't want to turn around and go back after waiting the first time while country music was BLASTING, and I wasn't up for more. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered that they hadn't cleaned the inside of any of the other windows. See photo below. And then there's the charge. I got the Mountain of Love wash for $29.99. When I went to pay, the bill was for $36.27! They stuck on a $3.00 charge for a Covid sanitizer. This is so bogus! These people have found a way to gouge their customers out of a few extra bucks and use Covid as an excuse. My experiences there in the past haven't been great but not bad enough to take the time to write a review. One time I bought a set of floor mats. I tried to return them - still in the packaging - and they refused to give me my money back. These people are so sleazy and slipshod. They can only get away with this substandard service because this is a small town so there's little to no competition. read more

I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews before going... My car was pretty dusty inside, so I paid for the high end wash with vacuum, wipe down, windows, etc... They were done with my car in 10 min. Got inside and the mats were not only dirty, but soaking wet still. Smelled like dirty mop water. They hadn't vacuumed, dirt all over the seat.... They slathered armorall all over the dash and seats without wiping them first, so it smeared the dirt in with the oil all over everything. Didn't bother to wipe or clean the center consoles at all - still all the same crumbs and coffee as before. Outside was partially wiped - dirt and spots all over the back of the car still, now caked on with wax. Didn't clean the wheel wells at all - caked with mud. And the cherry on top was they somehow scratched up the ceiling inside somehow. No idea how they did that. Vacuum hose? Someone's hat? Not a clue. But of course said they didn't do it. Almost $60 car wash.... Avoid. Edit: Went to talk to them, mostly about the ceiling scratches. Again, of course "they didn't do it." Wouldn't do a refund but (to their small credit) offered to send it through again. Was trying not to be a jerk and wanted to give them the chance to fix it... Round 2.... They STILL didn't vacuum the car or wipe down the center console... at all. Not at all. Still mud in the wheel wells and all down the running boards, still mud and spots dripping down the back... literally gave me the exact car wash again, even after talking about the issues. Just added another layer of armorall on the dirty dash. Not trying to be a Karen, but seriously Wtf... total waste of time and $60. The worst (and one of the most expensive) car washes I've ever gotten. This was my first visit to Squeaky Clean and oh how I wish I'd read the reviews first. I didn't mind the long line, ad though I thought the price was high, I was expecting value for money. This was NOT the case. It all started with the young man who was taking cars into the tunnel; he stomped on the gas pedal and laid rubber, all to go about 20 feet. I paid, and went outside to the drying area. I sensed they were understaffed given their disorganization and confusion, but that is still no excuse for the result. When I politely pointed out that two guys were drying a car that had come out several behind me, and the water on mine was drying into water spots, one man grudgingly started on it. His efforts were hit and miss as he barely swiped towels over the surface. Another person sprayed tire dressing on my tires (an extra $5 charge) and walked away without wiping them down. (Vital unless you want Armorall splashing on the sides of your car as you drive.) She didn't want to, but I insisted. Seeing that there was still water on my doorsills and they had never opened the trunk to wipe around the edge where water was still dripping, I got one of the cloths I carry with me, and started doing it myself, at which point the employee driving the next car out of the tunnel yelled at me, very rudely, to "Move it! You're in the way." I wanted to have a word with the owner or manager, but in the midst of the chaos I didn't think it would do much good. So I left their driveway and pulled over into another parking lot and finished wiping down my car, cleaning the spotted side mirrors they hadn't touched, wiping dust from the dash and the console. On the way home, I realized my windshield was still dotted with 'bug strikes' and they had not touched the interior of the back window at all. I saw a sign at the entrance proclaiming their status as "Best in Santa Fe 2020," a designation from the SF Reporter, I believe. All I can say is that if this is the best this beautiful city has to offer in terms of car washing, it's a pretty pathetic standard. As a senior citizen, it's not quite as easy to wash and polish my car as it used to be, but frankly, it will be worth the effort. I do a heck of a better job, and I'll save myself 30 bucks, not to mention the aggravation. read more

Had heard this place was not what it used to be--which was just okay for the $18-20 it used to cost--but Oil Stop was only doing exteriors, so I went ahead and went over to Squeaky where I paid for the Cloud Nine wash which was 10 dollars more than the basic interior/exterior wash, but it was the only way I could get more than the windows cleaned inside (Splish splash used to at least include wiping down all of the interior). The drying and cleaning took about 5 minutes between 3 people. The car was still filthy. There were smear and drip marks and rag lint all over the body of the car--and right at eye level where I walked up. The vacuuming was cursory, there was still dirt everywhere. They did not bother to even open the trunk. There was still the same dirt in all the crevices of the seats and marks on the seats that had clearly not been touched. I asked a couple guys if I could talk to someone and they just shrugged and walked off. Finally I got a guy who instructed someone to take it back through vacuuming and the wash, which they did. I'd already given a tip in the box, but gave an extra 5 bucks to the woman who took it back through and who seemed to be working her butt off while everyone else flailed their rags around half-heartedly. But the car was still a mess. When I got home, I started to work on it myself and was going to vacuum some more. I started on the driver's carpet. Suddenly I realized my vacuum was dripping filthy water everywhere. The carpet was soaking wet. They'd sprayed it and then just put it back in sopping wet. I took it in the house and it was dripping so much that I had to leave it in the shower to dry. They only did this on the driver's side. In any case, too late, I couldn't use my car vac because it was full of water. I dripped water all over the house. What a treat this was for me. I will not be going there ever again. Don't waste your money--this mess cost me 45 bucks with all the tipping. Probably best to do it yourself these days. read more

Took my car in for an interior and exterior service after a road trip. I was so disappointed with the service. Vacuum job was not very good.... there was still popcorn on the carpet in the back seat. The front of the car still had a lot of bugs and the lower part under the doors was still dirty from road dirt. Pretty much the worst car wash experience I've ever had. Recently I came in for a car wash. I should have checked the car before I left but didn't. It was only after I got home that I noticed they barely vacumed the interior of the car. When I called to tell the manager this, he told me to come back. I live 30 minutes away and was going out of town so I couldn't take another hour to do this. After a long conversation, I sent photographs of the interior so he could see how bad it was but I never heard back from them. Still haven't. Don't expect I ever will. read more

The little triangular windows next to the mirrors are not clean outside or inside. The inside of the windshield is just smeared around. It looks like maybe someone took a dirty rag and made a pass or two on it. They did not vacuum the cargo area of my Subaru. The area around my license plate is still dirty. I took my vehicle to this car wash on February 7, 2018. I asked for a "Mountain of love" car wash. I walked across the street to Starbucks to get a cup of coffee. When I returned after less than 10 minutes, an employee at the car wash had wrecked my vehicle so severely that I couldn't even drive it home!!! To this day, now 3 weeks later, we have NEVER received an explanation as to what exactly happened. My driver's side door was nearly ripped off the hinges and would no longer close. The only thing I can figure out is that the vehicle rolled backwards with the door open, hit an obstacle and the door was bent backwards towards the front bumper. I had to call my husband for a ride home. I was without my vehicle for 20 days! Just about 3 weeks! That's how long it took to fix it. During this time, numerous phone calls to the car wash remained UN-RETURNED! Every time we called, we were told the manager wasn't it but he would call us back. We were told the same when we went over there in person while my vehicle was at the body shop. The behavior by this business after such a severe incident is unacceptable. Not one single return phone call, not one single apology, no offer by the car wash management to make it possible for me to have a rental car while my vehicle was unavailable to me. I am a very reasonable person, but this was just the most irresponsible and rude behavior by a business! ONE phone call from them would have made such a difference to us, but that never happened. I've been going to squeaky clean off & on for over 30 years.. I find the service to be mediocre at best.. The front desk person is not very friendly & I usually have to ask the cleaning guys to redo areas they've missed. There's often still dust in the console & smudges on the doors & they don't wipe down the seats.. They def don't pay attention to detail. But I still leave a tip.. I recently had my 28-year-old MR-2 detailed here. It was actually called "oxidation removal, paint correction, and deep cleaning." Despite my love for this car, I am less than diligent in it's maintenance, inside or out. I will just say that this is the best money you can spend on your car. Within 20 minutes of driving it off the lot, I was literally waved down by someone shouting, "What a beautiful car!" The results were nothing short of phenomenal. A exterior wash using a power wash sprayer and a below standard automated equipment with little to no soap released was $18. My vehicle was still dirty in the front end with bugs and the back end was dirty as well. This is the worst carwash on the southwest part of the country...yes country. Pulled up and the little short guy at the beginning of the car wash was Rude. This place is super expensive for bad quality work. When my car was done I had to ask for a rag to whip down a few spots myself. They didn't even bother to whip down my rims and I paid over $40 including no tire shine.
