I was able to get it within 2 hours! It was a bit pricey $25.00, but I believe that's the going price for fresh flowers corsage? Or cause it was a rush order? When we arrived to the address, it's in a strip mall and when I entered I was greeted by a nice young woman, the place is small and simple nothing fancy. I did see some fresh flowers in their case and some orchid plants display on a table for sale too. Overall it was a good experience I called, ordered, pickup and go. I placed an order for a same-day flowers delivery to a friend (her grandmother passed away, but the funeral was in Poland so I wanted to send something to her so she knew I was thinking about her and her family), and thought I was getting a great deal from Mount Prospect Flowers. If I placed my order that morning, they would deliver that day for free. Well, they were successfully delivered same day (Friday), but unfortunately, the flowers were completely wilted and dead by Monday (3 days later). I know flowers have an expiration date, but I thought they might last a few more days than that. My friend told me they were sad and wilted looking by Saturday morning, and now completely dead today (Monday). Just something to keep in mind when placing an order online with this business. Maybe it was a bad batch of flowers, or old ones used for the arrangement, but either way, it's disappointing. read more

Rudest experience in years. I stopped in here and met the rudest woman I have run across in years. We were trying, at the last miniute, to buy a wrist corsaage for my 16 year old son's date. We stopped in 50 minutes before closing, and asked if they could make one. Although I wasn't aware that making a wrist corsage constitutes brain surgery in the floral world, I was rudely told by the woman at the desk that they were closing in 50 minutes and there was no way in hell she was going to make a corsage at that late moment. Although we are standing surrounded by flowers, she would not even entertain the idea of making a corsage (admittedly at the last minute). I also don't know whether this woman was the florist or just the cleaning lady. I couldn't tell, so it's quite possible that this woman had neither the knowledge nor ability to make a wrist corsage; again, I simply don't know. What I DO know is that the encounter with this woman was as rude and relentlessly uncaring as I've experienced in years. She made it crystal clear to me that she couldn't possible care any less. She was shouting her hours at me as we walked out. Let's just say that the river Styx will freeze over before I need to know the hours of Mount Prospect Flowers ever again. read more

Mount Prospect Flowers did the arrangements and bouquets and such for our wedding. They were courteous and worked with us for our flower and color scheme. Basically, if you give them a price, they will work with it. So, my suggestion is have a specific budget in mind when you go in, and have them go from there. The delivery was early for the items we needed for the house, and when we got to the reception hall, everything was ready and looked great. So that is nice since you are not worrying about running late! I especially loved my bouquet - it was what I imagined and I am happy that they worked with the design choices that I wanted instead of trying to push something that I didn't want. For example, I did not want any white flowers in the bouquet, and the reds, pinks and yellows that were in the bouquet were perfect. One item that I would say I wish worked out better were the guy's flowers. They were a little too delicate and it was so super hot that by the reception, they were dead. They did give us a new flower for the groom, but even during dancing and such, it was a goner. My suggestion would be a carnation no matter what the other flower choice you have is, since I personally think that is the only small flower that could take the heat and wear/tear of the day. Even the roses in the girl's bouquets were starting to wilt by the reception time. One side note for brides that doesn't particularly relate to Mount Prospect (well it does sort of since the center pieces were so nice!) - make sure you keep at least one centerpiece! Our reception centerpieces were really nice and we didn't mind that people took some home (my guests were excited for that!) but make sure you take one for yourself since ours were all gone and I would have loved to keep one for our house since they were so pretty. read more

We used Mount Prospect Flowers for our wedding and could not have been happier with the entire process and end result. First, Agnes was great to meet with at the initial consultation. I brought in a picture of a bridal bouquet that I liked and she was very good at understanding what I was looking for. She helped us envision potential center piece designs that would go with the colors and look I wanted, even though I didn't have such a good sense myself. By the next day we already had a price estimate from her and it was very reasonable - actually much more reasonable than any other place we visited. But I cannot fully express how happy we were with the final product on the day of the wedding. I loved my bridal bouquet and the complementary bridesmaids bouquets. It was even more beautiful than the one in the picture I showed her. Our chuppah was gorgeous and she did a fantastic job integrating our colors with the pre-made family chuppah. And the centerpieces was extraordinary. We had chosen a certain color hydrangea for the centerpieces due to price. But Agnes could tell that I was worried that they would not be the right color I was looking for. So she ended up ordering the more expensive type and not charging us the difference. It made all the difference and we were so appreciative of her generosity and keen decision making. Overall, working with Agnes and Mount Prospect Flowers was a wonderful experience. As someone who didn't think that flowers were a priority for me in wedding planning, it ended up being one of the best parts of the wedding. Final update: I am updating my review and raising the number of stars from 2 to 4. Mount Prospect Flowers did a great job making up for their initial mistake. My Aunt received the correct bouquet with another balloon attached first thing in the morning on her birthday. She was thrilled. She sent me a photo and the bouquet looked a lot like the photo, crammed with flowers that I paid extra for (deluxe level). It was at least 2x the size of the arrangement delivered the first time, that I thought looked small, but could not really tell from the photo. I am slightly disappointed that I could not surprise my Aunt on her birthday, however, she was surprised nonetheless (and even more so, because who expects to get flowers on some random day(?)). So the fact that she now has two arrangements to enjoy on her birthday, more than makes up for the mistake. Thank you Mount Prospect Flowers for handling this problem in a very professional way. Not all flowers in the bouquet were fresh even though I asked to make it from the fresh loose flowers that they had. Will not be returning. I could have bought a better looking (and less expensive) bouquet with fresher flowers from Costco for example. Don't waist your money, unless you are spending about a $100 or more. Mount Prospect Flowers was one of the best vendors I worked with during my wedding planning. Agnes was so responsive to all my needs and wants from the get go. I met with her about five times before the wedding. I did change my mind a bit on the centerpieces and added some other floral arrangements, but she was always patient. She knows that this is the most important day of your life and wants to make you happy. Also she will work within your budget and create beautiful one of kind floral arrangements. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and I received many compliments from the guests. It smelled exquisite, but not overbearing. The reception pieces were elegant and fit with the venue. I received a dozen red roses with baby's breath in a vase from my boyfriend which is on vacation in Florida for Valentine's Day tomorrow! This arrangement was delivered to my work and was opened in the front. After receiving the flowers several of the roses were turning black and wilting. I contacted the florist and she said they have to pick them up and bring them to the shop to inspect them. Then she continued to say he ordered these through FTD-I then lost it and said if he ordered these from FTD/ProFlowers it doesn't matter, you supplied the defective product. Very overpriced flower arrangements compared to other places of equal quality in the vicinity. I received a birthday bouquet from my boyfriend, who paid over $100 (I found that out later). My sister went to pick up the flowers and when she arrived at the restaurant to help me setup I was extremely disappointed with how they looked. I was excited to meet with them since they have amazing reviews on a popular wedding website. We had to book the initial consultation a month in advance since we wanted to see them on a Saturday. The day of our consultation we got there five minutes before our appointment and we were greeted very courteously let us know they were running a little late with their earlier appointment and asked us to sit down on the couch and look over their pictures. We understood that sometimes things like that happen and we thought it would only take maybe 10-15 mins to rap everything up with their prior appointment. After waiting for 15 minutes on the couch we were asked us to move to the table and they told us they we would be with us in a few mins. We were seated at the table for another 15 mins when we saw that they had move us so they could sit down with the previous appointment on the couch. It's unprofessional to have someone who had an appointment over a month ago to wait for more than half an hour. If you need to reschedule the appointment call ahead and don't ask them to wait. Never got a chance to sit down and even introduce ourselves. Very disappointed read more
