I attended the Occupational Therapy graduate program. Spent two years paying tuition. Driving an…read morehour each way mon-fri, passed the coursework and then they send you off to two level 2 fieldworks aka internships. The first fieldwork my supervisor had never supervised a student and she would talk about patients behind their backs among other unethical things. This supervisor decided to flunk me and the Stockton fieldwork coordinator did not listen to My grievance at all. In fact, I told the Stockton fieldwork coordinator that there was another OT there who agreed to become my new supervisor and she blew off that idea and gave me an incomplete for that fieldwork which meant I lost the money I paid for the fieldwork plus I had to repeat it. Don't handover a lot of money and waste time if your are not going to get the support if there is trouble at fieldwork.

I love this school! My daughter is in her last year & we have had a amazing 3+ years here. She…read morehas matured so much in the last few years & talks about her school with pride. Over the years I have utilized a page they have set up on Facebook for parents with questions. Parents (especially new empty nesters) have LOTS of questions. I find this page helpful to this day. When I have had to deal with staff in other capacities, they have always be pleasant & helpful. Parking seems to be the biggest issue at the school, there just isn't enough of it. That may be because they are one of the few schools that let freshman bring cars. Hopefully they will work those kinks out but in the interim, the education my daughter received completely negates the parking issue.

I went here to visit someone in my family after they had a baby. On the outside it looks nice but…read morethen you enter. The staff is COLD. I was yelled at because I ran the buzzer. Nevermind I rang it because no one was answering me. They were too busy talking. That was strike one. Then my family member told me how no one checked on her or did anything thats typical of a hospital stay. Strike two. Now strike three was probably the worst. The baby had to be put in NICU because of a possibly illness that they waited a long period of time to tell us about. The way they interacted with the mother was sickening. They didn't tell her much (thank god for google!) and acted like she was a bother when asked when and if she can visit the baby. I don't know what nursing school these individuals went to but I don't think they should of went nearly as far as they did.

Oh man, I have been to this hospital more times than I care to recall. I feel a little weird rating…read morethem with a "Yay! I'm a fan." I've never had a negative experience with this hospital. Everytime I've been here, regardless of the day or time, the ER has been super busy. I understand the techs and other staff in the ER may not be the friendliest, but they really are swamped and they're doing the best they can. Also, if you're in the ER because you broke your hand or you've got a really bad migraine, keep in mind there's probably a meth head that just walked in covered in blood from a gun shot wound. So give them a break, eh? That being said, I think they are severely understaffed. And the wait here sometimes is absolutely ridiculous. Also the way their ER system is set up is a bit wacky. You sign in, then you wait. Then you get called over to get your bracelet, then you wait. Then you get called into Triage, then you wait. Then you get called to the ER when there's a bed available, then you wait. Jeez, good thing I didn't have an actual EMERGENCY when I came to the EMERGENCY room!!! The physicians I've had have been very efficient, competent, and had great bedside manner. The only place I've felt like the staff was a little rude was in the NICU. Bonus that if you've ever been a patient here or at the city campus, they already have your information on file, so there's no obligatory collecting of the insurance information, payment up front, etc. I'm not sure how I'd feel about using this hospital in the event of an actual life-threatening emergency, and hopefully I never have to. Otherwise, I feel they're a better option than going to Shore Memorial, and I find the staff a bit more pleasant than the city campus.
