I wish I would have discovered Katheryn years ago, but am so glad I found her this year. I was tired of my regular hair "cutter" not being willing to go as short as I wanted, and decided I needed to try a designer, a real hair artist, and I have not been disappointed. In fact, I have been amazed at Katheryn's skill and artistry from the minute I stepped into her salon! She spent a lot of time asking me questions about my life, my vision, as well as analyzing how my hair grew. She carefully explained that no one's hair grows symmetrically, and that one needs to cut the hair in a way that literally goes with the flow of the hair growth, rather than just superimposing a style onto a face. From there, she released my "inner haircut" and truly created what I had been wanting for a long time, only with her professionalism and skill, it came out better than my imagination allowed! And-it lasts, and lasts, and lasts. Katheryn cuts hair in a way that every step along the grow-out phase looks as good as the minute you walk out of her salon. I have had hair stylists compliment me on my cut. It never gets to that point when you have to run out and cut it, never feels heavy, lopsided, or "done." Katheryn is amazing with the razor, too. She really uses it like the finesse tool of a sculptor. Katheryn has trained and cut at so many of the world's finest studios-and we get to benefit! Finally, she is simply a nice, nice person. She does not chatter mindlessly like some stylists, where you feel trapped in their need for conversation or their discomfort with quiet. There are nice moments of silence and contemplation in each experience with her, as she is an impassioned artist at work. As for price-well, she is a bit more expensive than the "cheap" people, but given that I was paying "cheap" every 6 weeks because my haircut fell apart at 5 weeks, now I am paying more for a haircut that never falls apart. I figured it out and have actually saved money going to Katheryn. Worth every penny, worth more than 5 stars! read more

I LOVE MY HAIR!!! Katheryn is simply hands down the most gifted and talented hair person I have known. As someone who has traveled all over the world and sat in some of the most famous chairs getting my hair done, from California to New York & Europe, I definitely know talent when I am experiencing it and Katheryn is it! Her skills as a colorist and highlight artist combined with her chemist knowledge to get the absolute perfect shade are bar none. She has literally transformed my hair into many incarnations and I love them all. From super short & sassy, to long & super blonde to darker blended highlights. There is no hair design she can't do! The way she was trained to cut hair is something extraordinary. As my hair grew out it kept its shape & style without me having to spend a bunch of time in the morning styling it. Her cuts last longer & keep the shape longer than anyone else can do. Her prices are beyond fair & believe me, I know as I have paid several times that with other "famous" hair designers. She is a true find! You don't get what you pay for with Katheryn, you get 3 times that for her talent, skill & her extensive experience. She knows how to listen to not only what your hair desires are, she also listens to your lifestyle needs and applies those to your overall hair design. I almost thought I would never see her again because her previous salon said she moved out of the area when I recently went to book another appointment. I heard that Katheryn was a Master Stylist with experience in top salons in San Francisco, London, etc. so I thought I would give her a try. I was super impressed with my first cut and color experience...then I just went back for my second -- after 3 months! She said her haircuts lasted a really long time but I still don't know how -- it grew longer but always stayed in a style! I am so relieved to finally have someone I can go to EVERY time without worry. She is THAT good. My hair stylist of 10 years moved back up north. My daughter had went to Salon Lofts last month but could not remember her stylist's name. I was getting my nails done in Paradise Plaza again...so I went online and found Kathryn there (a few doors down). I needed someone with expertise, not only cutting, but coloring.
