They had a huge selection of vintage items from 50s, 60s, 70s, etc up to y2k, and they were all labeled very clearly. The shop owner was very nice, and the community seemed to truly value this shop. Many people stopped by for one last chance to shop and to say hi.

I met Marilla herself, who gave me a tour of the small shop and explained how everything worked. This store carries several types of products. Bulk spices, coffee, tea, and candy; reusable/ecofriendly household products like soap bags and kitchen scrubbers; and big refill tubs of liquid items like face wash, hand soap, shampoo, and the like. They have jars you can purchase, or bring your own jar/container. Either way, the container is weighed and then you are charged for the weight of the product. There are fancier jars to buy for a few dollars, or use one of the recycled jars on the free shelf (they are cleaned and sanitized before being set out). Marilla also accepts clean, clear jars (no label) if you have them to donate. I look forward to refilling some household products here instead of buying one more plastic hand soap bottle or spice jar. Check this place out!

I was first introduced to the team here at Santiago's during the Blackfriars production of Anna in the Tropics, where we had live cigar rolling for some of the evening shows. They have the expertise and a huge breadth of experience to answer your questions, and provide you with the exact celebratory smoke you're looking for. I tend to go for the alcohol infused/scented cigar options, as I am usually enjoying a cigar alongside a celebratory drink of some kind. My partner and I adore the Makers Mark cigar, and I am a sucker for anything red wine infused. They do custom bands for events, live rolling, and have nice detailed descriptions of their cigars on their website. If you are new to cigars, this is the absolute best place to dive in for the first time. Such helpful staff members with literally zero judgement, they are there to guide you along the way. They will cut for you if desired and send you on your way! It asks you a couple of questions about your favorite genre and favorite drink (coffee/hot chocolate/tea) and the staff hand-picks and creates this masterpiece. And the price is reasonable. I ordered it as a gift for a friend, so I haven't opened it yet, but I love the presentation. I can't wait to order more in the future.
