I had my reservations about buying a car in Virginia and registering it in Maryland. I.e., differing state sales tax rates, tags, and title work, and differing State Auto Inspection requirements. How would that all work? And, what would be their level of Service after the sale, I.e. Tags & Title? In a Nutshell: You Should Definitely Visit SRT Auto Sales if You're in the market for a pre-owned car. They have a wide variety of cars and trucks to choose from, all VA Inspected, and come with a Free Carfax report, which goes a long way toward answering questions about how well the car was maintained in its previous life. And, be sure to seek out Sales Representative George Fallin! Here are just a couple of reasons why, based on my journey in finding a well-maintained pre-owned Van to fulfill my specific needs. SRT Auto Sales, website { www.srtautosales.com } had two vans in stock, both checking all the boxes, and the sticker price on one was fifteen hundred dollars below the suggested Carfax suggested retail price. I made the trip to King George, VA. But, as I noted, SRT is a Va. dealer, and that's where George Fallin comes into play. George asked questions, there was No pressure to buy, and he addressed all my concerns about buying in Virginia. He assured me that their Tag and Title people would handle everything with Maryland MVA., once I had it MD Inspected (passed with no problems), and I bought the Van on the spot. It should be noted that unlike all the other dealers I had visited, which offer a thirty-day or 1,000-mile warranty. SRT Auto Sales offers a Free Third Party Warranty for Ninety (90) Days or Three Thousand (3,000) miles, whichever comes first, just a little more peace of mind. We had seen a one-owner, low-mile, older Volvo XC70 at the dealership. I know Volvos well and did a lot of homework first. I also sell used cars from time to time, so I am well aware of dealer tricks. We got no runaround, no offers of extended warranties that are overpriced, and George our salesman let us go over the car with a fine-tooth comb. It may need some work on the tire-pressure sensors, but I knew that going into the sale. We made an offer, paid cash, and brought the Volvo home today. Very satisfied with this dealership and will return when the time comes for a used van we'll convert into a camper. read more

DISHONEST, SHADY, TYPICAL SLIMY CAR DEALERSHIP and sales The exact type everyone warns about! BE VERY AWARE!Hope your happy scamming a 16yr old kid! 3/27/2025 We were told how this car was one of the nicest cars on the lot THEN they proceeded to let my 16yr old daughter drive her very 1st car away almost on empty and the washer fluid light on! We stop and get gas and washer fluid as we are filling the resivore,fluid is pouring out of the bottom of the car. YIKES! Friday 3/28 we call and notify of washer fluid and go back to the dealership and was told their mechanic was not available and he could look at it this week 3/31 when he also would be doing an oil change. Saturday3/29 we take the car to a mechanic to see whats going well looks like the washer resivore is cracked, the radiator is pushed in like a frowny face and the Hvac condenser has damage (not leaking YET)and some body damage all from an accident. $2,000 for our mechanic to fix and make this car safe! Here we are Monday 3/31 first thing am notify the dealership what mechanic found which is EXACTLY what their mechanic would have found had he been there on Friday! We are told they will ONLY replace the washer resivore but not the radiator or hvac condenser because they are operational (FOR NOW) we all know as soon as the warm days are here there is a very high chance she will be stranded on the side of the road. It's damaged and only working bc we have had cool weather in the 6 days they had this car before it was sold to us! So now she is stuck either paying $2k in repairs from another mechanic or she can PAY a$500 restocking fee and return the car! Wouldn't that be convenient a new radiator is $500 (without labor) so then they get the car back plus the $$ to replace the radiator and sell it to the next person If this isn't a total scam and literally the worst dealership! I'm sure SRT Auto sales in KIng George will delete this but I will be blasting this to every single page that I can! read more

I had a great experience with SRT. I went around in circles with a big dealership in the DC area first. They kept trying to muddle the final price with a bunch of add-on fees and taxes and wanted $900 for a "dealer processing fee" that is nothing but some paperwork. It was impossible to negotiate a bottom line price with them. I found the exact same car at SRT (one year newer, in fact) at a lower (and fair) price and called about it. Assim replied right away and gave me a honest and accurate assessment of the car's condition. He said their only extra fee was a $450 processing charge, and with the lower price it totaled exactly what I wanted to pay bottom line, so I drove down the next day to see it. It was just as Assim described, and I ended up buying it on the spot. When I arrived a few days later to pick it up, everything was ready. Assim was polite, professional, and honest. The process was straightforward...there was no attempt to raise the advertised price with a bunch of fees or sell me undercoating or other BS. Yesterday, I purchased my vehicle from SRT Auto Sales. Others have commented on the dealership, and I can attest that they are extremely efficient and courteous. The salesperson met me on a Sunday (by appointment only) and within 5 minutes I was off on my test drive! The vehicle was in good condition (given its age) and priced fairly based on my market research. There were a few minor issues with the car that I noted in my test drive. Rather than becoming defensive, they made the repairs/adjustments. The following weekend I took the car out for another test drive, confirmed the repairs/adjustments had been made, and did a more thorough check of common problems associated with the make and model. Minus the time it took for the second test drive, the purchase process took less than 1/2 hour. If you find a car online that looks promising, I highly recommend that you follow up with a visit and test drive. read more

A small auto dealership and a good experience. Small place with a reasonably large selection of cars. I contacted them by phone, confirmed the car I was interested was available, and drove (from PA) to test drive. The car was exactly as pictured, everything was in order, they mailed me the title a few days later as promised. The dealer even let me test drive one of his own personal vehicles as a comparison to the model I was purchasing. All around, friendly gentlemen running a small serviceable dealership. read more

THE EXPERIENCE: I contacted SRT Auto Sales via their website in March of 2017 to inquire about financing for a vehicle they had advertised in their fairly in-depth inventory online. The Sales Manager, Rita, contacted me via phone promptly thereafter. She was most helpful in verifying my personal information and gathering all the requirements to support a finance application. Seeing that I was a Govt employee, Rita spoke of possible alternative benefits if I were to self-finance through NFCU or even USAA, offering that I might experience a savings and perhaps a lower APR. She noted that they work with both institutions regularly. I went that route. Now pre-financed, I visited SRT Auto Sales in mid-March. The vehicle I had in mind ended up not being precisely what I was after, but fortunately, SRT had a newer make/model of the same vehicle, only a bit more expensive. I was welcomed to test drive it. Upon completion, SRT provided me 100% transparency with the vehicle, making available a multi-page CarFax print-out, a review of the KBB, and ensuring that I was aware of all its history, both positive and not so positive history (e.g. a couple mild fender-benders). Still, I liked it, but I was pre-financed from my financial institution for the initial vehicle. THE PRICE: Rita and owner, Assim, were open to professional negotiation; they were absolutely no-pressure; and, they worked with me in detail, waving a number of processing fees yet still providing me a fantastic 90-day warrantee covering much of the vehicle (This is CRITICAL for any used car) in efforts to allow me to drive away with the newer model vehicle at a price just SLIGHTLY above the cost of the initial vehicle I came to view and was financed for. Out of pocket: Insignificant. THE PEOPLE: Rita and Assim stayed late to take care of me, well after they were due to get off work. They were down-to-earth, customer service-oriented, and, again, absolutely no-pressure. Assim is realistic and open to negotiations, and Rita is sharp and seems to have the complex processes of the auto sales industry down pat. THE LOCATION: SRT Auto Sales is a quite small, local operation at an off-path location, yet it appears that they do not have the overhead and payroll of a large, overly-corporate organization and can thus pass savings onto their customers. This is my observation/experience anyway. Don't expect fancy showrooms and corny sales gimmicks, but do expect decent prices and decent folks. They have repair staff and detailers on-site too.
