Very disappointing experience. I drove from Alexandria, VA based on the advertised price for a Mustang, which I confirmed before going and was ready to pay cash. At the last minute, I was told the price included undisclosed conditions like a $2,000 trade-in and $2,000 financing incentive that were not clearly stated online. This felt misleading and like a bait-and-switch, and it ended up being a complete waste of my time. Went in to purchase a vehicle, but the check engine light was on, inquired and the first response was that they weren't interested in repairing the vehicle because they were sending it off to auction. Then it changed to they would repair the vehicle if I was interested in purchasing. I was then told they knew what was wrong something about air not getting to the engine. Car advertised with fog lights however they were missing on the vehicle when I went to check it out. Was told the lens were cracked and it failed inspection, but they took them out to run it back through inspection. Ok so no interested in replacing them. Then I was shown a sheet with the total out of door price which included almost $1500 in reconditioning fees. The Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB) mandates that any reconditioning or refurbishment costs must be built directly into the cash price of the car. When I mentioned this I was told rudely that they have been charging that for years at Bayside Ford and it's not illegal. Over all the sales person was very nice and helpful, but the sales manager was awful and acted like he was doing me a favor. I didn't like that at all. I want a pickup truck, I'm not a desperate buyer that can be treated any kind of way. The sales manager there needs to learn some humility he's out trying to sale a vehicle I'm not begging to buy one. We recently purchased a brand new 2023 Shelby F-150 from Bayside, and had it shipped sight-unseen from Virginia to Las Vegas, NV. It arrived with clearcoat damage (embedded water spots) on the top of the vehicle's fiberglass tonneau cover. I tried to clean it off myself using a clay bar and different cleaning agents, but to no avail. We took it to a local auto shop and had them try to buff it out, but it did not work ($200 out of pocket for no results). I immediately contacted Bayside Ford and began a chain of communication about the damage. They denied responsibility, and told us to take it to the local Ford dealership for "paint warranty" coverage. We took it to THREE local dealerships... all three looked inspected the damage, all three contacted the Ford Warranty department, and all three were denied, claiming that the damage wasn't a factory defect, but instead due to negligence on the part of the selling dealership (Bayside Ford). I once again contacted Bayside Ford, and essentially got a "not our problem" response. After some arguing back and forth, I finally got them to agree to repair the vehicle. I went and got an ESTIMATE to repair... $487. They agreed to reimburse me once the repairs were complete. Fast forward to today: We dropped the vehicle off at the Ford-recommemded body shop for repairs. Shortly after, we were informed that the damage was not just on the tonneau cover, but also on the entire roof of the vehicle as well, which had not been included in the original quote. The revised estimate is going to be an additional $600 to repair. I reached out to my contact (sales manager, Dustin) at Bayside once again and informed them of the extra cost. He point-blank said they would not cover anything above the original estimate ($487), and that anything additional, I would need to cover myself. This is truly unbelievable that this dealership would sell a $130k vehicle to someone, damaged, and then make it so difficult to get resolution. They acted like it's my fault and that it's my responsibility that my vehicle arrived in damaged condition. I would advise that everyone stay FAR AWAY from this dealership, as they will not accept responsibility for their own faults. While I'm all the way across the country, and unlikely to use this dealership again, the company I work for has several thousand employees in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area, and I will be sharing my story across several platforms. At this point, they can keep their money. We have been fighting for 2 weeks, and It's just been a complete slap in the face. They took an exciting experience for us and turned it into a gut-wrenching, sour moment. Worst car buying experience of my entire life. read more

I called Bayside Ford this afternoon to inquire about an F250 they have for sale, stock number FE04177. They had it advertised at a very low price of $38,995 both on Autotrader and their own website. It turned out the low pricing is a scam. When I tried to buy it at that price, they informed me there would be over $2,600 in "processing fees" added to the price. I'm not aware of any other Ford dealers who engage in this kind of deceptive advertising. I called 5 other Ford dealers today and not one quoted a price significantly different from what they were advertising. After I left a poor review on Google, this dealer had the nerve to post a reply calling me a liar. See for yourself the attached screen shot of their rude response. Despite their lies to the contrary, I am a real person, and I did call today, as evidenced by the attached screenshot with my call history. RUN*** MANAGAMENT WARNING*** The 1 star provided here is only because the sales guy that worked with us is a young guy trying to make his way in the sales industry and only followed what his management team was telling him to do. BEWARE of this dealership. My wife and I bought a Ford Expedition 2020 from this company. Michael was our original sales manager. We bought the truck and a month into owning the truck we started having problems. After speaking with the management at Bayside, they instructed because we lived over an hour away that we could visit any ford dealer to have the issues fixed. So, we did out of our own pocket. Then the catalytic converter went bad another month later. Frustrated at this point, we took it to another ford dealership and paid another $150.00 diagnostic fee to figure out the issue. Had that fixed under warranty. Then a month later the truck started stuttering. This time we brought it back to Bayside Ford. They looked over the issue while we sat with the sales team. We expressed how upset we were that we bought this truck 3 months ago and it was in the shop 3 times. So, the current manager said he would work with us. His definition of working with us was to find us another vehicle for $300 more a month car payment. This was UNACCEPTABLE at this point. We left the dealership, and I contacted management hire up. This guy called himself "THE TOP". After going back and forth with this guy several times, his offer was to pay for half the catalytic converter, leaving me with a $2,500.00 bill. THEN tried to blame me for not bringing the truck back to his shop and "involving him" in the issues. Meanwhile we did speak to his management team and his management team told us we could go to any ford for repairs. His response to this was "that was an old manager that no longer works here." This dealership DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. This dealership promotes "Good, Fair, and Honest" which is a cheap, senseless slogan that they DO NOT HOLD UP TO. BEWARE spending your money here. THEY ARE NOT A GOOD DEALERSHIP. And an update to our situation, we visited another Ford location in Maryland and got a FORD ST for $650 a month. ANOTHER LIE that Bayside told us "You couldn't get a ford st for under $1,100 a month" Well we did, all because we were smart enough to never do business with you. read more

Bayside states that it promises to be simple, honest, and fair. We found a 2024 vehicle that we were interested in. Tyler answered my call and began to sell us the truck. I did not experience simplicity, honesty, or fairness. Tyler said that he spoke with the Gen. Manager and would be willing to split the shipping cost. This was not true. In fact, Tyler was also dishonest about the cost of shipping, saying it would be $2899, when in fact, it was only $1349 when I shopped around. I asked to speak to the general manager, Mike Vitiello, to see if he would honor his original promise (since Tyler said he brought him into the deal). He wouldn't take my call. His bio states that he wants to bring Bayside values to Virginia. Is this how Virginians want to be treated? I feel that because I am a woman and an out-of-state buyer, I was treated with dishonesty, discrimination, and disrespect. I should have heeded the last out-of-state reviewer's post about how they treat women. It would have saved me hours. My advice would be to find another dealership. I bought a used 2017 Explorer from this dealer and really like the car. However, in less than two months I have to replace the rear brakes and of course there is no warranty for the car. I called the person who sold it to me and he checked with management and they told him it was normal wear and tear. Mind you, the car had a safety test in September, and I bought it in mid-November and now in the first week of January the rear brakes are metal to metal and I have to replace both pads and rotors. Please be aware and make sure you do not make the same mistake I did by not taking it somewhere else to get the car checked out. Needed to purchase a truck, as most people i was looking for a deal, the salespeople here are very nice, i stated i only wanted to spend around 15k on a truck as its primary use was to haul garbage back and forth to the dump, the salesman when on and on about how it was my lucky day and they had a truck for me for around 15,427 or close, all sounded perfect, when signing the contract i was told the total price was 17950.00 which sounded reasonable and i signed the contract, this was of course a mistake on my part to not read all of the prices on it, i simply assumed, wrongly, that it was all on the up and up, so i accept my part and am not complaining about that, i am complaining because after a 1,000 deposit my loan for the car is still over 19k, this was not what i expected and ends with me paying over 20k for a 2011 ford truck, just dont seem right, when i called to speak about how the final bill was much more than i expected i was fed a line about gap insurance being required by my bank loan, which it is not, not to mention speaking of the price being 15k when it was really 17k, honestly i feel as if the wool was pulled over my eyes on this deal and they promised to contact me to speak about this further but 4 days later and no contact, i am going to assume this is simply how they do business and steer clear in the future. read more
