Miracles DO happen! I'm the proud owner of a very nice Marantz receiver that suddenly decided to stop "receiving". I tried everything that I know to find and fix the problem, but it was well-beyond my abilities. I went into a desperate search for authorized Marantz dealers, and each one I contacted either couldn't help or wouldn't help, and these were among some of the higher-end facilities. I ended up contacting Marantz through its website, but really couldn't get very far. So I went the other direction.....simply started calling electronic repair shops in close proximity to my house. Less than a mile away was SST Radio Repair. I had my doubts that they would not only not want to work on my receiver, but that they wouldn't even know what to do with it if they did. I was wrong on both counts. Henry listened intently as I described the problem and with more confidence than I expected, he took the unit, told me there would be a nominal fee to pay to "diagnose" the problem, and that once found, the nominal diagnosing fee would be absorbed in the repair fee. That sounded more than reasonable, so I left it in the hands of Henry who is the owner. He warned me that it may take time (probably due to the holidays approaching, or to the volume of customers he has), but I was fine with that. I was after solving the problem satisfactorily rather than the speed of it all. Not long after, I called, and he said he may have found the issue and placed the parts that were causing the problem. I picked up the unit, it worked for a day or two and fell into the same problem. I brought it back to Henry who took it immediately and was genuinely curious and determined to solve this mystery.....which he did. He isolated the deeper problem, searched for the "hard to find" components, and it has now been a month since I got it back from him and it performs as good as it ever has....and I am playing it every day, for hours. Henry's attitude, expertise, attention to detail, and his ability to accurately diagnose a problem (which is a quality not easy to find) makes going to SST Radio Repair the wisest choice you can make if your electronics are acting up. At this point, had he been 100 miles away, I would have still gone to him to make the repairs. Make Henry and SST Radio Repair your first and only stop when you need this sort of help. So glad I found SST Radio Repair ! This was the best experience I've ever had with any repair: courteous and knowledgeable technicians who really listen and treat you like an intelligent person, appointment system so there is no wait, quick repair at a reasonable price. These guys know what they are doing AND know how to treat customers. I had just about given up on fixing my 2012 Sienna radio, even though I felt it would be an easy repair. I was certain that I knew the problem was with the DVD player but every place I called either said they could not do it or gave an outrageous price for just looking at it. Henry, the technician at SST who fixed my radio, LISTENED to everything I said. SST charges a very reasonable check out fee that is applied to the repair should you choose to do it. Henry found the problem quickly and gave me options for fixing it. The repair was completed in no time and the price was very reasonable! SST makes appointments for service (it's easy to get one). They require mask in their waiting area, but since they use appointments there won't be anyone else there. I can't say enough good things about SST and Henry (the technician). Lexus Owners please read... This shop knows what they are doing. I have a 2017 Lexus Is 200t. The screen went out but the back up camera still worked. Brought my car up to the store and the owner told me straight up he's seen this before. I didn't want to believe him because I saw all the people having the same issue and not being able to fix it. It will take him a little over a week but when I tell you how happy I am to plug that bad boy in and see my screen working again. Even made sure it was updated as well. My car's satellite radio had been acting up for months (poor reception, no signal, static). It took three tries (visits to the shop) to get to the root of the problem, but Henry was able to determine that I needed a new antenna. He located, ordered and installed the antenna and now it's working well again. Great place service is great and Henry is awesome. Took my car there to get my radio fixed since it wasn't work. Henry had it fixed within and hour. The price was fair and warrant is given on his work. I had to bring it back because of minor static issues. Henry did more diagnostic to make sure my antenna and every thing was working properly. No charge since it was under warranty and said if there are any issues to bring it back. I like the customer service here. Repaired the radio in my Audi. I was recommended to them by another shop as they are one of the few shops that can actually repair a factory radio. Audi uses a fiber optic communications system between the components and speakers. SST was able to find the fault in my Amp, they replaced it and it sounds great. Saved a fortune over going to the dealer. I went to SST fro Sugar Land which is about an hour drive but it was well worth it. SST is one of the few shops that could have fixed this outside of Audi. I had my home theatre subwoofer repaired at SST Repair and I am very happy with the quality work that they provided. They require a deposit and it goes towards the final cost of repair. Hi ya'll! I called and talked to Henry who was very nice. I took my cd player that had played out after many years. Henry installed a brand new Kenwood cd player and radio that also has a bluetooth in my vehicle. It did not take a long time to install the cd player.
