This review is for the annual fish fry…read more The set up is somewhat confusing, there is a line that you stand in to get food and pay, but then there is another line that had no payment at the end so what was that food? I never found out. Then there is a whole other table for drinks where you have to buy a ticket for, which didn't concern me because I just had water. I got the fish with rye bread and tartar sauce. My side was mac and cheese and I tried a couple of my friends fries. Everything was hot and fresh although taste was lacking. The fish was pretty bland and the mac and cheese was so yummy looking in the pan, very thick and cheesy, but it hardened in my bowl and was pretty flat overall. Also we got there early which was a good idea because 5 minutes after we sat down a huge wave of people arrived and the dining room filled up to capacity. I threw it back at THEIR table because I'm not a maid, nor slave, nor servant. So I'm simply not going to take their trash or have it thrown at me like I am trash. They threw more things, so I did what was right and told the authority, but due to the lack of logic these teachers have, they failed to get me away from the situation but put me beside the problem itself. They sat me next to the student who threw the food, and a teacher decided to yell at me to sit down like I was the problem. Now I don't often name drop, but it gets to a point where I'm feeling mistreated. Ms. Wyatt (a teacher), and Mr. G the 7th grade principle, did not fix the situation. You say bullying is a no go, but you continue to let it go on with no consequences for the students who caused this chaos. I went to this school because I heard it was great and now I'm disappointed. Ms. Wyatt favors the boys, and she only acts like a good teacher when a suit comes in. She lets the boys sit on the air vents with their phones out, but if the girls even try sitting down on an air vent they get yelled at to get off. I'm greatly disappointed that there are only a few teachers that will take action aka Mr.Gray and Mrs. Black in this 7th grade team. All I know is that this school fails to take action when things like bullying happen and especially when a student decides to speak up about it.

After months of not knowing if there would be a graduation service for our Granddaughter or not the…read morewonderful staff of Assumption assembled a fantastic ceremony this past weekend. It was well planned out to every detail of health safety you could think of. When we arrived as a family we were shown to a nearby tent next to the main entrance where we were greeted by one of the faculty members and given some brief instructions as to what to expect. We were instructed to follow the arrows on the floor and stay in the large boxes that were outlined on the floor with tape. As we entered the building we had our temps taken. We then moved along the school hallways to the next station to check in. As we made our way to the gym there were various stops along the way to pick up gifts that were given to each girl by the school and one stop to have a family photo taken. When we arrived at the gym we were directed to gather in a box in front of the stage while our granddaughter picked up a single rose and proceeded to walk up on the stage, pick up her diploma and stop in a certain spot for a photo opp. We then proceeded together out the side door to parking lot. It was fast and very smooth and probably only took 30 minutes. A big thank you goes to the entire school staff who put their hearts and souls into giving the graduates a ceremony that they will forever remember.

As a former student here, I have a unique perspective that outsiders may not be aware of. While the…read moreschool claims to promote "individual excellence," in reality, I was punished and relegated to the back of the room whenever I hiccuped or tapped my feet. I recall being loud and talkative in the past, but now I barely speak due to the way the teachers and several students treated me. The effects of that bullying still linger to this day. The bullies were once my friends, but they turned on me, and the teachers failed to intervene or hold them accountable. The group was led by one student whose parent worked at the school, creating a toxic environment where the teacher selectively disciplined the class. I was sent to the principal's office or the back of the room multiple times a day for things other students were doing without consequence. Notably, the teacher acted differently whenever another adult was in the classroom, showing she was aware her behavior was inappropriate. I attended this school for two years when I was 10 and 11; I am now about to turn 15, and hopefully, that puts into perspective how long this has affected me. This school silenced me. I was bullied almost every single day, and even after I left, some students continued the harassment. Another review mentions that the founder/principal knows everyone by name, but knowing a name is not the same as knowing a student's heart or ensuring their safety. Leadership failed to act when I was drowning in a toxic environment. I could say a lot more, but I've already given this school enough of my time and my silence. I am sharing this because I don't want anyone else to feel this way. Do not waste your money on this school; protect your child's mental health. The tuition does not provide safety in this 'Christian' environment."
