Stay far away from this awful place if you value your life. Three horrible sequelas occurred because of their horrible care. I was an inpatient patient there in December, 2019. The orthopedic doctor who saw me for a broken arm in the emergency room left for vacation directly after seeing me. The hospital refused to assign another orthopedist for five days. I complained about abdominal distress. Doctors misread a CAT scan and failed to diagnose a developing pancreatitis. Third, I scrapped my knee when I fell and broke my arm. The knee got badly infected. Nurses at St. Andrews refused to do anything about it.
I developed a severe cellulitis and high fever within 24 hours of discharge. A hospitalization elsewhere was required for nine days of intravenous antibiotics. By the time the cellulitis and pancreatitis resolved, the broken arm was inoperable. The international standard of care for a broken arm like mine is immediate surgery. I am now facing a five month recovery because St Andrews was awful. read more
